Heads up, vulgar language is not allowed on the forums. Acronyms of vulgar language and masking vulgar language is against the terms of service.

Now that I have this card i can confirm a few things

stock bios target temp is 72c with a fan speed about 1700 rpm (not too loud but can hear it, my preferred mode)(same noise level as a 3080 fe, louder then a 3090 fe)
oc bios target temp is  68c and fans spin about 1900 rpm (abit too loud for me)

Stock bios the card doesn't really perform any better then a 3080 FE i had tested.  Gamer nexus was right about small difference between cards
OC bios card got 18030 graphic score on timespy and preforms very slighty better then 3080 fe but not by much

Card doesn't seem to boost higher then 1965 mhz stock settings, standard bios

I'm pretty disappointed with the 3080 review not including any performance metrics.. All the "Wait for the independent reviews" and not even a single benchmark or OC test; and yet the 3090 FTW3 got at least a few and OC results.

I get what he's saying, but he's also one of the few who has accurate enough data to rely on. It just paves the way for bad reviewers to find 10FPS improvements in their favourite cards with no countering evidence.
As others have said, we mostly care about performance. And I'm willing to bet a decent percentage bought the FTW3 for overclocking potential, and some like myself plan to watercool the card..

It just felt that just because he didn't find it interesting, doesn't mean others wouldn't have enjoyed it.

I have absolutely zero interest in how the factory cooler performs, noise or temperature wise. Hardware unboxed will probably do and tech power up did a better job this time..

wow, Tuf reks the FTW3 in noise and power normalized cooling performance. 10(!)K better from a 730€-750€ vs a 840€ card.
The Tuf really is a masterpiece.

Tbh I had EVGA 1080 Ti SC Black, 2080 Ti XC Black and have now a 2060 KO.
All have really disappointed me in fan noise (the 2060 KO is even useless below 30% fan speed, because I hear some crackling thing going on and off all the time, so 0 fan or quiet fan curve useless). So I don´t wonder, EVGA just seems to not have the greatest fans.

And i canceled my day 1 pre order on a TUF for a FTW3 :(

Have to realize a few things.  The power target on these GPUs aren't all the same so no matter what, the GPU running a higher power draw will run warmer.

That all easily gets thrown out the window once FTW3 owners on air start grabbing those EVGA 240mm Hybrid Kits for their FTW3s and call it a win at the end of the day.  Those kits will sell like hot cakes once released for reference and FTW3s, especially now that they're increased from 120mm to 240mm rads.  High powered GPU with improved OC potential with lower temps?  Win-WIn

Hybrid not gonna be worth it, what's the MAX you'll be able to get from them? Consistent clocks at 2100 or 2200Mhz? Yea, big deal, another 5% on some synthetic benchmark? The Ampere architecture just doesn't scale well for overclocking. I'm all for undervolting those power hungry beasts.
