Better overclocking results with the old Precision XOC software than Precision X1??

With my GTX 1080 ti FTW3 Hybrid I get stable GPU overclocks to +104 MHz in the older Precision XOC software.  When I use the new Precision X1, I get crashes at any GPU overclock past +74 MHz.  I tried the latest version of Precision X1 and had the same result.  The same thing happens with memory overclocks.  The older Precision XOC software gives me better memory overclocks than the newer Precision X1.
 
Why does this happen?  Is Precision X1 still that unstable that it gives people lower overclocks?  Does this happen for anyone else?

    That's why I'm asking.  It has me confused as to why this happens.  Why would a change in the EVGA overclocking software give me worse results?
     
    Maybe this should be moved to the EVGA software section?

    I can push both of my 1080 ti FTW3 Hybrid     to +110 & get 2100MHz - using 6.1.14 version of Precision XOC -- I'm not using X1 on these ... so ... no insites to your observation

    Stock no overclock, 1961 MHz
    Precision X1 2049 or 2050
    Precision XOC 2101 MHz

    Nobody from EVGA has an explanation for this?  I guess Precision X1 is just that buggy that I should stick to the older Precision XOC until X1 is fixed.

    Have you tried Afterburner? I'm curious if your results for XOC would be the same as Afterburner. I noticed if I apply a manual voltage curve in X1, even with boost lock on, the clocks and voltages wander all over the place. This doesn't seem to be the case with Afterburner though. I need to do some more testing though.

    Just curious is there a reason you are using version 6.1.14???
