I have had my rtx 2080 to cc ultra clocked to around 2070 mhz since I recieved it last year (130% power and +13% volts). I was playing world of warships and the game completely locked up on me. I then ran timespy stress test and it failed after around 3 minutes. I then did some trouble shooting and ruled out cpu/ram. I then adjusted the overclock on the 2080 ti, to around 2050 max and lowered the memory to 500 from 700 oc. I ran timespy and and my whole pc crashed (bsod on one monitor, other monitor had inverted looking colors, lots of black and green). GPU has never gotten above 66c.
Any idea what has happened?
My system specs
I9 9900k at 5.1 ghz watercooled Rtx 2080 ti xc ultra watercooled 32 GB 3866 ram 850 watt evga gold psus All custom loop hard pipe watercooler Windows 10 1903

So it runs fine at stock clocks?

And maybe a bit more voltage on the ram.

I've ran it through memtest, no errors at all. But I can try it.

That's what I'm afraid of.

Try rolling back the driver previous to the one released 2 days ago and test again and post the results.

Ok I will. I'm at work right now and won't be able to try that for another 7 hours.

Driver upgrades have been know to cause a "stable" overclock to become "unstable".

So I've tried different drivers, seems a bit more stable with the newest one. But I can only hit 1920 mhz stable now on timespy. I once had it hitting 2115 mhz stable and took it down. I'm trying oc scanner now and see how that clocks it. I don't know what happened, it was like overnight it went from a great card to and unstable one.

Set X1 to Stock setting & test again ---> remove any OC +0 GPU & +0 RAM & no power Or Temp target over 100% (stock)

It was set to stock. It recommend a 160 oc. But my monitors started flashing on and off.

So I know why its crashing. Was running 3dmark, set the clock at +120 and monitored power. At 58 c, the card goes from 130% power to 95% then crashes. Any idea how to stop this?

Test with +110 and Memory at only +1000 and see how 3DMark runs.

I just did except the vram will only hit 800 mhz. It goes through timespy stress test but only scores 82% and states did not pass. Although it makes it through all the loops.

Then back off your Memory to +600 (What I use for Gaming) The Overclock used for Benchmarking is Not going to be the same as for when you are Gaming, start by taking 1/3 off and see how gaming runs. Maybe your Motherboard's Overclock is unstable and your Memory Overclocked to High as well.

So strong card as RTX2080Ti no reason to be pushed hard for every day gaming. Eventually for benchmark tests and then should work on fabric clock.

It's the only way I could get 60 fps on 4k ultra and dxr on battlefield 5. :/

Well after testing my max stable overclock is +50 now. I guess I should be glad it still works, just disappointed that I've got this custom loop and can on longer get above 2000 mhz. Also I found it crashes alot more with the limit up no matter the clock speed.

Remember also that Drivers can make or break a Graphics Card Performance. As well as Windows Updates and the changes made in the Benchmark Tools that we use.
