This was reported by multiple Reddit users first, in an account that seemed to not be restricted to any specific region either. Indeed, many of the affected got further notices by the OS that the license was for Windows 10 Home instead, and that they had to now install that specific variant. If you happen to have this issue, try out the activation troubleshooter to see if the update was applied, and that should help resolve the bug.

I experienced this today. The activation troubleshooter took care of it. No problem. No Windows 10 Home message.

Now that's funny because that happened to me as well. I was like what in the hell is going on here?! Nonetheless, I put my thinking cap on, hit the troubleshooter (I think I was chatting with AI) and was activated in no time.  Prior to all of that, I was running rampart searching around for answers. It even crossed my mind that I'll have to purchase a full copy of Win 10 Pro just to have since this version is locked with my X99 MB.

I first spotted that long ago on the Lenovo forum and posted it on my site, following day a big thread on the Microsoft forum which is now locked
Posted that back on the 7th, today I ranted about no updates for 1809 users
  Corsair Obsidian 750D Airflow Edition + Corsair AX1600i PSUMy desktop uses the ThinkVision 31.5 inch P32p-20 Monitor.My sound system is the Edifier B1700BT

I thought it was taken away and put on hold as nothing shows up when I try Windows Update. Still on 1803.
I have one rig with 1809 installed from the MS Download before it was removed. Also another Forum Member told me to stop posting about this version on the Forum so I did.

+1. I installed 1809 the day it was released. No issue's with it and getting updates for it periodically. Almost daily updates for Win Defender.

Been running 1809 since Oct 3rd here and haven't had one issue with it that I'm aware of. Only one 1809 cumulative update on Oct 9th KB4464330 (OS Build 17763.55) so far but this Tuesday there should be another.

the telemetry in windows is mechanized, software looks at the crash dump files and tries to figure out where the problems are

Windows 10 1809 Updates installed fine today, cumulative update that is and a few other that also install on 1803 and 1709.
