According to those able to get hold of Microsoft's call centres, the advice is to wait a while and the problem should fix itself, indicating something has gone awry on the licensing servers, and engineers are currently scrambling to fix it.
Your machine should be usable in the meantime.

Yep! We only need to wait.
    Still down from Colorado.
My 1809 states it is no longer Activated all the rest show no internet access to the Activation Servers.

So far haven't noticed but it could explain why I was finding it hard to get a windows update to download on a computer I don't use that often.

Use an Associates Code & SAVE 5% - 10% on your purchase. Just click on the associates banner to save, or enter the associates code at checkout on your next purchase. If you choose to use my code I want to personally say "Thank You" for using it.

I do not use a Microsoft Account on any of my Computers.
This issue was only with Microsoft Activation Servers and nothing to do with your Microsoft User Account.
All but one of my computers correct themselves before 1500 yesterday 8 Nov 2018.
This happened yesterday and was corrected Early this morning.

Did they just deactivate all the sudden while running or did it happen on a reboot?

Strange, why is Windows checking activation after it's already been activated?

Windows 10 Checks this every time you start your computer and the computer has an Internet connection.

Randomly and why Some Users are seeing this over the last day or two that have Already Activated Windows.
But also new Installs in the last day or two could not activate their Windows because 1) the Server Went Down and 2) Microsoft was changing the activation Servers so new users could not connect to the Server.

I still can't find any answers to Windows 10 checking activation every time you start your pc or randomly checking activation while online after it's already been activated. These is no reason it should do this.
