Is it possible to save the LED color that I have set in LED sync to the card? Every time I start my PC the LED is blue and waits until the PC boots aand LED Sync starts to apply my settings. Can I have the card save my configuration for when the PC is booting? I have the RTX 2080 XC Ultra.

That's extremely unfortunate. You would think a card of this price would be more capable.

Edit: I called EVGA to confirm. Can the developers add the option to flash the LED settings to the GPU bios?

It's funny how two seconds of blue can give people the blues.

My 2080 XC defaults to green LED every time I restart. I'm running on the latest version of X1. Profiles won't save or load either.

This is not correct, the latest version of PX1 will save the LED to firmware. Can you confirm what version of PX1 you are using? Also please attach a screenshot of Precision if possible.

Re: Save LED color to card? 2018/10/16 15:38:43 (permalink)
Can confirm with the users above that no matter what, the card starts in blue RGB mode.

I'm also curious as to if the LED Sync settings can be saved into PX1? I'm surprised it's not natively built in. The LED Sync program and LED tab in PX1 are completely different and I'm wondering why EVGA decided to go this route. LED Sync is far superior to the LED tab in PX1 and I can't imagine why Sync doesn't replace the tab and get built into PX1 instead of being sideloaded. Seems inefficient.

Edit: I've tried to attach screenshots, but the forum won't let me.

Don't use LED sync for a single graphics card, use the LED control at the top nav.

Even doing this doesn't fix anything. The card still boots with the RGB set to blue, no settings saved. Nothing changes until I open PX1. Also, LED Sync overwrites these settings at boot and displays a prompt for me to allow my computer to run it (it also overwrites PX1 settings every time I open LED Sync). Also, the settings in the LED tab in PX1 are inferior to the settings in LED Sync. I'm very confused as to why EVGA has built the software this way. The "Breathing" setting in the LED tab in PX1 isn't even breathing, it's just fade in and out. It's missing many features that LED Sync provides such as "Rainbow" and "Pulse" to name a few. The settings from either program are not saved to the card itself, either, causing the RGB to display blue when booting.

Jacob, mine is a 2080Ti FTW3 Ultra and I am running X1 0.3.2 beta, and can confirm that at least the temperature-based colors do not get saved. Every time the system boots, the card defaults to steady green.

Is this going to be fixed and is the breathing mode going to be changed to an actual breathing mode? I'm sending my card out for RMA due to coil whine and want to know whether to sell it or not when I receive my new card.

If the LED is not saving to the card, you may need an MCU update. Please see below for the updates:

Instructions = Extract and run .bat file
2080 XC = http://storage.cdn.evga.com/driver/MCU/2080_XC_E196.zip
2080 XC ULTRA = http://storage.cdn.evga.com/driver/MCU/2080_XC_Ultra_E196.zip
2080 FTW3 = http://storage.cdn.evga.c...MCU/2080_FTW3_E198.zip

2080 Ti XC = http://storage.cdn.evga.com/driver/MCU/2080Ti_XC_E199.zip
2080 Ti XC ULTRA = http://storage.cdn.evga.com/driver/MCU/2080Ti_XC_Ultra_E199.zip

MCU updater does not work. Will not let me do anything. This is the screen it gives me:

I cannot open the .HEX file.

Edit: AGAIN, this forum will not let me link to/post an image. The image is at this link, just remove all the J's. hJtJtJpJsJ:J/J/JiJmJgJuJrJ.JcJoJmJ/JaJ/JQJNJmJyJ3JcJiJ

This is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous that this problem cannot be solved, and that I can't even post an image to this forum. This isn't rocket science. Just about if not every other RTX 2080 card on the market does not have this issue.

Update: PX1 is now crashing on me. When I try to go past Temp Tuner or VF Curve Tuner with the arrows on the bottom, the program hangs and crashes.
