Hello, I need your help to set the best overclock for my setup.

2x X5690 ES
2x Thermaltake FRIO
24gb (6x4gb) Gskill 1600MHz 9-9-9-28 24GB
GTX480

the x5690 is the multi 26x.

I wanted a 4.5ghz overclock a 4.8GHz or near, does anyone could help me, I'm kinda lost here with the settings.

Another detail, how do I change the divider to 2:8 memories of 2:10 for example?

else specify the signal twitter

Are you by any chance able to explain the signal tweaks CPU0 IOH, CPU1 IOH and CPU0 CPU1, CPU1 CPU0.

Don't these values become rather important when hitting high base clocks?
I've tried screwing them around a little bit, but doesnt seem to help much, though they would seem valuable.

I do not think there has been anyone from EVGA able to explain what the signal tweaks do due to some confidential information IIRC.

I like 180x25 for 5690s.

It's best to validate your CPUs one at a time to find out exactly what voltage they require at your best stable clock then run together using independent settings and fine tune for stability, etc.

This way you don't overvolt or possibly undervolt (and have intermittent stability issues).  No two chips are alike, ever.

Excellent suggestion. Highly recommended. I have a 0.05v difference between my CPUs, which is quite significant.

One way to test this without actually disabling the CPU would be to run prime (or your stability test program of choice) and set the cores affinity to the threads of 1 CPU (this would be 12 if you have hyperthreading on). That way you are only loading 1 processor during testing.

I as well would greatly appreciate it if someone could reupload the templates.  I really need to overlock my system again.  I lost my setting when the CMOS cleared its self.

    Thanks,

I´ve saved them as .htm. Anyone know how to upload in this forum, if possible?

Edit: Seems there isn´t such an option... I´ll try it on an one-click-hoster with long free-retention time.

Yes please! Would be great to see some more settings.
This is what i got so far:

But trying to boot with anything higher than 160 bclk give me FF error code.
I'm thinking it might be my uncore multiplier after reading some x58 overclocking guide but not sure.

    Edit:
Cpus are x5680s under custom loop
    Ram is Hynix Ecc 1333mhz

    Re:SR2 OC BIOS Template 2017/10/09 01:45:30 (permalink)
Probably the memory is bad quality.
    I overclock samsungs ECC 1333 1.5v to 1800mhz 1.52v  48-96GB with no problem.
I have 88-92mhz PCIe bus to get a lot of GPUS working and all netports and numa support ON, but it is best off with NUMA and one TP off.
U can probably run 4400-4500mhz 1.35-1.37volt with good watercooling and Bios setup correct and with 100 mhz pcie.
If your 1333 memory cant handle the OCspeed use the 1066mhz instead of 1333mhz and all settings same,,use 10-10-10-24 and 160 instead of 180 tRFC in MEM timings

    Here is my setup:

No change in signal tweeks, all on auto.
only when i use 7x pcie extender cables  am tweeking pcie signals a bit.

This is my SR-2 with x5680
The cpu blocks is crap so i peak over 80c at 4600mhz benchtest
    4600mhz is ok... 1,375VOLT :-)
Same bios settings as the sr-2 WITH x5690

( This system will not go over 60c at full load after replacing cpublocks )

I finally figured out why my SR-2 would not boot with anything higher than 160 bclk.
I had a move the JIOH jumper from the upper position to the lower position.
@Robbanswe In what positions are your x-cool, i-limit, and jioh jumpers? There is no documentation on these 3 jumpers. I bought my sr-2 used on ebay so I have no idea what the default positions are

    Ok.
JIOH and I - LIMIT is set to the Right.
    on pin 2-3.
    this is the original settings.
and it is highlighted to the right on mobo as well.
and a internet picture of x-cool original setting.

Thank you for the images! I didn't notice the markings on the mobo.
Does anyone know what the JIOH jumper does? if i move it to the left position i can boot with 160blck. I have the board running at 170 bclk after the change. But with the jumper on the right, board just shows FF code. i can boot with higher bclk but not stable at the moment, haven't had time to find higher stable overclock.

    Hi, sr-2 newbie here...
Just got a SR2, and read that it doesn't like 16gb modules....
So i populated all slots with 16gb ECC-buff dimms and it boots.... 192 gb Ram !
Just doesnt hold when bios settings are saved... any tweaks to that ? (Even without overclock settings)

Hey Robbanswe I'm using your settings on my x5675s and trying to get 4.5 on both CPUs. I'm running 180 bclk with turbo on to get a 25x multiplier. HWiNFO64, CPU-Z, and EVGA E-LEET all report 25x180 for 4501mhz on CPU 0, but reports 23x180 for 4141mhz on CPU 1. CPUID HWMonitor is showing weird 2161mhz on CPU 0, but it's also showing 4141mhz for CPU 1. Not sure what is going on here but wanted to get your input. I'll try with Turbo off but then I have to run 196 bclk and I'm not sure it will run that.
