Ordered 2 1080 ti elite gaming white 12 ghz memory Just waiting for delivery

Threadripper 3960x on PBO  3 alphacool 360 mm radiator 1 60mm thick and 1 30 mm thick and 45 mm thick. 1 280 mm radiator is 30 mm thick, Alphacool  pump and reservior  and a new Alphacool Elisblock XPX Aurora Pro cpu block
Gigabytev TRX40 designare

Congrats! The top card will suffer air cooler with all the added hear of the 2nd. Water cooling is usually needed in sli unless one with with blower style fans.

Thanks AHowes for the input. Installing cards on a X99 Classifed Motherboard in Slot 1 and Slot 4 which run at X16 which are spaced 2 slots apart in a Corsair 780T with 3 120 mm high cfm  intake fans. I will see if I can keep the cards cool.

You might be alright with 2 spaces in between. :)
Don't freak too much if the top card is warmer then the bottom as the top card is always doing more work.. prob see like 4-5c difference between the 2.

Can someone help me with the pascal memory maths? EOCX reads 5508 mhz.. How does that become 12ghz?
Kombustor reads 6003mhz x2 would equal 12ghz. Is OCX not reading the elite vram speed properly?

Mine used to read the memory speed correctly. Reinstalling XOC never hurts though, that programm spaces out sometimes if you swap cards. Also make sure you use the latest version.

Reinstalled it 2 times, and switched to AB. If I drop a couple of mhz overclock on the memory sometimes it magically jumps up and display a 6k value .. only to jump down to 5k again as soon as I put any load on it. If it wasn't for at least Kombustor showing 6003 mhz I would have thought Jacob was trolling us with this card :p

Don't I deserve a fancy software? I'm stuck with nvidia inspector? .___.

Certain loads like running folding@home will make the memory run at lower speeds.

It's across the map. Kombustor, Battlefield, the 3D software doesn't seem to make a difference. Both ocx and ab still report the memory speed as 11ghz. Gpu-z and inside Kombustor window does show the speed correctly. No idea why really :/ But I don't really dare to push an overclock using AB/OCX when the software doesn't read my card properly.

One guy at overclock.net said he had issues with AB not recognizing power limits and fans aswell. He had some steps that seemed to help him. I'll try them out and bb if it works
