From what i've read Precision X OC is supports DX 12 but it when using the OSD in Rise of Tomb Raider using DX 12, it crashes the game.

I run the game with DX12 enabled, simply turning off OSD and it runs just fine, the second i turn it on, game crash.

Any help?  I'm running the stand alone version and not interested in running steam version.

Thanks for any help.

Lol your avatar and the little emoji.  Does it work?
I've been back and forth between the two and grown used to Precision X's OSD display but no biggie.

Yes, it works just fine as long as the steam overlay is disabled.

Your OC setting in AB will probably be lower than the ones you used in Precision

They are not necessarily a direct plug and play.

With AB I had to lower my settings from my Precision setting.  Not sure why -- just an FYI

My GPU OC was +200 in Precision and in AB +180 was the max stable

Indeed it worked, i didn't have the steam overlay so no issues there.  No OC either lol so no issues there either.  I do recall experiencing what you mentioned once going from Precision to AB, OC were lower.  Hopefully Precision fixes this or someone does something.  Dx12 on tomb raider looks very nice and gave me a nice jump in FPS but i've always felt better with Precision.

How come AB clocks lower?  Is it just with EVGA cards.  Ive always read many swear by AB and dont think its because it OCs lower.  Dont wanna make this an X vs Y but just curious.

Glad to hear it worked out for you. +180 vs +200 is only one step difference. One step = 13MHz.

Glad you have it sorted out

I believe there is possibly some inconsistencies between the two programs - algorithms - not an issue if you are aware that the setting could fail and need to be tweaked when changing OC software

It's not a solution by any means!
It's just letting EVGA continue to ignore the issue with Precision XOC and do nothing about it.

Yet they still expect us to buy their cards? Yeah, I'll be looking elsewhere next time especially after that VRM screw up. The last thing I expected to do was install my own thermal pads on a $600+ flagship video card.

Some facts about the VRM issue...

#1 The internet blew up about evga not having thermal pads on some of their cards. People on the net were stating the lack of pads on those said cards were causing the cards to fail because of heat issues.
#2 There was no issues with those said cards from the very beginning. The cards ran within thermal specifications even without the pads. The missing pads weren't the cause of the failures on those said cards.
#3 EVGA responded to the internet blow up by offering the optional thermal pad mod.
#4 Failures on those said cards were really due to faulty VRM IC's and had nothing to do with missing thermal pads.
#5 Adding thermal pads to faulty VRM IC's will not prevent them from failing.
#6 Everything has been corrected at this point in time. If you get a bad card you'll just need to rma it.
