Andrew_WOT If EVGA ships cards based on queue positioning, why it's so hard to publish where it is at?
This has already been brought up, and while it's obviously something we would all love to have, EVGA are under no obligation and are extremely unlikely to disclose their exact sale numbers, whether it's via the queue or elsewhere (smart decision; I wouldn't either if I were them).
Current queue timestamp is all we need, nobody asks for their sales numbers.
I imagine it's a mix of things. One, more time telling people where they are means less bandwidth for shipping cards. I think this is a little flimsy, because it doesn't seem too hard to code up a solution for this. I think it's probably more about not broadcasting what they can ship direct. Not wanting people who are suddenly 20 seconds away to call them every day makes sense too since they also are on an inventory crunch that is beyond their ability to fix on their own. It's not really known here exactly why this is not shared. I give them a pass on that since they do have a queue. If they have their reasons, I can accept it even without it being laid out.
My main guess is that communities can be toxic and the closer that individuals are the more toxic they are when they feel wronged. AKA - "There was a drop three weeks ago, why hasn't the queue moved 23 seconds. I should have a card by now" except probably a lot more hostile and vulgar than that. Things are less toxic when it's an estimate. And I'm not speaking on behalf of everyone, only the few that would ruin the whole queue for us all.

EnigmicAzn Personally, it is my firm belief that EVGA knows exactly where everybody is in the queue. The reason they don't want to implement a system to let people know is its just not worth the headache and hassle.
People already bombard jacob nonstop about their positions. Does it really help you whether youre number 29389637 or 28463839? These people arent getting a card anytime soon regardless.
As much as I'd like to know where I'm at and that everyone else would like the same, I agree that this would just cause more trouble than it's worth for EVGA. People are STILL going to ask how long until it's their turn and this would only give them more information to be upset. "Why did it ONLY move 5,000 spots today?! It moved 6,000 yesterday!" etc. It would just lead to more people asking about where they're at and how long it's going to be.

Basically, yeah. There's very little benefit for EVGA in doing this and a whole lot of downside. Better to just let us do what we are and guessimate.

Isn't it funny (I prefer that word to interesting) that we know exactly what ship is "that ship"? Just imagine if we had similar websites for the cards: IsThe3881StillStuck.com IsThe3883StillStuck.net IsThe3885StillStuck.tv IsTheKPEHCStillDelayed.io etc. etc. CrowDazzle From the looks of things, it looks like I backed the wrong horses in this race. 10G-P5-3885-KR 9/19/2020 12:05:09 PM PT 10G-P5-3881-KR 9/19/2020 12:04:54 PM PT 10G-P5-3883-KR 9/17/2020 9:30:27 AM PT Has there been any movement at all on these sku's since launch? On a side note I didn't know the queue was a thing until a couple of weeks ago, but thanks enewt for tracking this data. I check your doc every morning.
The 3885 has had movement in the last 30 days, but still on 9/18. Thanks for the kind words; they are appreciated. Andrew_WOT Current queue timestamp is all we need, nobody asks for their sales numbers.
I would welcome that. It would free up a lot of time. @EVGA_JacobF on Twitter is probably the best recipient of this request (I've asked in the past without success, but hope springs eternal).

An official current queue timestamp per queue would be nice to have but my guess is that the group data gathering effort being provided by folks (like those in this thread) already results in an unofficial "best guess" which is so close to whatever the real official one is as to not make a difference. I have a mental picture of Jacob popping over to sneak a peak at this thread every so often and being quietly amazed at how accurate this effort presumably really is.
I think reports in here and elsewhere are most accurate in very congested periods. Let's say 1 out of every 100 report back. I just made that up. If you are in a heavy minute, chances are you'll likely be close to reality. When things start moving by 20+ hours? Chances are this is way less accurate. It's not a bad thing, because now it is moving by chunks. But I trust that final timestamp reported less. I agree in general though that it's just asking a bit too much for a decision made on the fly in October when they don't even really know what inventory they will be receiving.

It happens anyway. Don't see how published current timestamp, next to SKU on the store page where you sign for auto notify, or on separate page can make it worse. Anyway, enewt does that job for them. There is always a million reasons for not doing something.

Now I can comment on the checkout process. You have to verify you are not a robot. Fill in some details like credit card numbers and such. Then you click a button or two while accepting a few disclaimers. Done. If you've been following this thread for over 960 pages wondering how checkout works, you are welcome. ;) Your transaction has been successfully processed.

Probably declines or no responses from yesterday, but for the 3060 I figure it's at least 100 cards between the last reported time yesterday and my number. And some 3060TI rolling out. Not bad for a Friday. I'm probably biased.

The wait continues. A kingpin or a 3090 hybrid, which will come first? I know my preference, but both are fine. I only need one. The 3060 kicks out either a vega 64, a 580, or a 1070. To be fair, the 580 is just sitting on a shelf, so it's not really getting kicked out. It's just confirming its time has passed. The bigger toss-up is evga 1070 or vega 64. I've been trying to move to one source of drivers, so vega 64 is probably the next to go.

I'm real tempted to buy a pre-built now. Apparently there's a deal going on where you can get a Ryzen 3600 + 3080 for $1900, which is the same price as a scalped 3080... And if I'm not gonna be able to get a 3080 anytime soon that might be the best path

Probably a good way to go. Slap a 1650 in there and sell it for $1200-1300 and you’ve basically bought the card for MSRP.
