Jacob said that hybrids would drop this week... which could mean Friday. It's still early so I wouldn't count today out either.
But only two can drop at a time!
It sucks, I know. Hybrids are being made in limited quantities so I don't expect the queues to move very quickly. Most of the people who signed up for those cards did so in the first few minutes of the queue going live so if it moves one minute at a time that will be major progress.

If there playing their business cards then id say they will hold up on the queue, and ship to other partners such as Newegg to get the inflated price point. Then they can just say whatever they like come April about lack of stock or sorry we did not get to you before the price hike. If there paying the price to import then they have no incentive to cut us a deal.
This will be a very dry month for those of us in Queue
Our only hope is for the import tax to be removed, but even then due to demand they wont come back to the old MSRP.
I like what there saying but they have ways around it to make it look like they are on our side.
I'm hoping for the best, but planning for the worst

I would've held off too. I could've got a FE or a TUF, but declined. Not a fan of the AIB cooler designs either. Definitely going hybrid this time.

I hear ya. I'm being patient now, anyways. Not looking forward to any game, except FC6 and hopefully Stalker 2. I'm just hoping the new 7nm process isn't a giant improvement over the 8nm. These things are power hogs

I made the brilliant decision of selling my 2080 Super FTW3 back in September, for $500.... knowing I'd quickly get a 3080. So I'm borrowing a 1060ti in the meantime

They're not making any additional money off of the higher price point, because they're paying that extra money in import fees & taxes - I think people are misunderstanding what this price hike is for.
Also, it's entirely possibly that they have/have had a shipment sitting in port since before the turn of the year and it's taking this long to get from there to them, so they may not even be paying those fees on that particular "load" of cards.
Based on how much eVGA's site prices went up vs how much some retailers went up on higher end cards, I'd say at least some e-tailer/retailer places are just straight up price gouging & increase their prices now... I.E. the 3090 FTW3 Ultra being $1939 on Newegg (from Newegg Direct, note you) vs $1869 on the eVGA site. $70 price premium - and keep in mind, apparently prices are going to go up AGAIN sometime between now & April because of the lasting effects the prolonged vRAM chiplet & GPU Die shortage is having that's resulting in prices on those going up as well because demand is way out-striping supply.

I am so far out that I am nervously watching the calendar wondering if I will get a shot at a 3898 before the price goes up in April. No matter, I decided to go for a 3080ti and will most likely cancel the auto-notify for the 3898 before my time stamp comes up. Since the 3080ti is a different card entirely, I don't think the quantities will be as limited as they are with the hybrids and HC's.

The 3080 Ti will likely be as low-yield as the 3090 is, so I wouldn't count on it being more readily available, nor would I expect NVidia to be smart and stock pile them before release. Whenever they do come out it will be another crap-storm of scalping & zero availability, I will be amazed & shocked if I'm wrong about that.

I agree with this. Like with the other queues, getting an invite to purchase email will come down almost entirely to spamming F5 on the day...rather... the first thirty minutes...the auto-notify buttons for the 3080 Tis go live. We have seen this process "rinse and repeat" with the launch of each new sku. I am aware of nothing to indicate that the 3080 Ti volumes will be higher.

It sure seems that way. Same with the 3080 XC3 Gaming. No comment from EVGA as of yet.
Yeah I'm on 9/17 for XC3 Gaming & Black because of the price point. If I would have signed up for the XC3 Ultra not only would I already have my card, but it will wind up being cheaper than what I eventually buy the Gaming or Black version. I have no faith that any non Ultra XC3s will ship prior to April.
I'm in this same boat. And the XC3 is the only 3080 that will fit in my case, so no buying a different card.

It could be even worse than this. My son melted my old card by forgetting about the fan control. Now he is using an old GTX 465 that was about to thrown out. Every other day I hear my zoomer son ask, dad did my new card get ordered yet? Did I miss the notification somehow? I would suggest he get something else, but that does not even exist. The shelves of the stores are bare. There is no B stock of any graphics cards. When will the cards flow? Been about 2 hours away on the 3767 for a long time. Sorry to **** about it, but I felt like sharing.

Yes. Cards that launched after the queues were announced on 10/5...each launch window, the EVGA website gets slammed with folks F5ing right at the launch minute. Huge congestion at the front of the queue...sometimes material-sized drops only move the queue a tens of seconds instead of minutes. Best of luck!

I was referring to the 3080 XC3 Ultra Hybrid (3888). The queue status showed it at 12/10 9:05am this morning, I thought I had a chance to get one relatively soon. Reading some comments here it seems A LOT of people jumped on the auto-notify the second it became available.
