Urobulus Someone's gonna have to explain something to me: why if the prices are going up in the US because of the Trump tax thingy I keep hearing about does the 3080s now on Newegg.CA (Canada) are now up 200$++ in price? I mean I know Newegg was always a bunch of scammers and thieves but seriously why should it even affect us here, and why the hell is the price of the cards now jumping by hundreds of dollars here in CANADA??? I swear to god the whole cards fiasco keep getting worse and worse even when you think it reached the bottom of the barrel...
Word : Corona!! it's the magical word everyone is using now at business to justify anything, even companies that are making HUGE profits in the ongoing situation still reduce salaries and so, why? Corona. Cards going rare, why? Corona. Cards going more expensive, Why? Corona. Shipping is delayed and they can't find enough people to handle carge, why? Corona. People are unemployed and not even hired to fill in the places of business in dire need of labor, why?! Corona.....
Can't agree more here. COVID is now the reason used for everything and it's too easy to use it, so pretty much everyone and every company now use COVID as excuses for X and Y whenever there is something no matter what it is. Again because it's that easy to just blame everything on COVID no matter if it's the real reason or not nowadays... It's disgusting that a lot of them are using it as an excuse to raise prices, justify their laziness or ****ups, etc

mp_ice Hi! Maybe You know how - EU has the same notification/shipping procedure as US?
Yes. Just make sure you are checking that your auto-notify registrations are showing up on your page on the eu.EVGA.com website and not the EVGA.com website.
bmac11 How do I know what email I used for the notifications? If I log into my evga account and it shows them listed, does that mean I used the same email? I ask because I thought I setup notifications with my phone number/email and I cannot create an account with it. It now says the two emails must be the same.
If you are logged into your account and you see your auto-notify times listed, then they are associated with your account and you should be “good to go.” Good luck.
Just to add an aditional item to enewt's already excelent explanation. Notifies work the same way, but all hardware is shipped direct from Taiwan, this information is actually written in the EU store but not in the most visible of places. You should not have to pay aditional taxes (several users have confirmed that this type of hardware is duty free in the EU) but have your order details (invoices, etc) ready in case the customs asks for documentation.

iamsiege Am I reading that right that the 306ti FTW3 only moved 56 seconds? Or is it 56 mins?
56 seconds. Keep in mind that this is the launch day congestion, so it is not unexpected that the movement along the timeline is so short. Other skus that launched after 10/5 (the day the queue system was announced), on their launch days, have moved less than 10 seconds on a material drop. The movement on the timeline per drop will increase as the timeline moves farther and farther away from the launch hour.
Sure, but didn't we get from 6:00 to 6:51:30 in the first two drops? That suggests that the first two drops were either massive in comparison, or that the pace of people signing up to be notified absolutely skyrocketed shortly after 6:45. For my part, I'm really hoping that this is just a tiny drop, and that they'll have a truly substantial drop soon that moves the queue 20-30+ minutes forward (once it finally filters through the people who don't actually buy in).

In my opinion, the 3060 series had a lot of inventory that had been stacking up in advance of the launch. I would not expect to see those volumes repeat anytime soon. But, as before, as we get farther away from the launch hour, the congestion should begin to ease.

I wouldn't be surprised if the emails being sent out are from stock available from before the holidays and they are holding off on sending more out until they figure out/set new pricing.

That would be bad business practice and I doubt that EVGA is that scummy.

Congratulations! Your watches are quickly coming to successful conclusions. Thanks for reporting back to the thread and please enjoy your cards!!! SchaapDaddy, thanks for using my Associate’s Code for the 5% discount. Hopefully it paid for a faster UPS truck that will get the card to you before the weekend. Enjoy!

SystemRichie I'm not sure about others, but I have been in queue since November 1st 2020 and still nothing. Fingers were crossed for something by now. I guess the situation with cards is worse than I thought. It was worth a try. Thanks for having a system like this anyway EVGA. Great step for the future. Good luck to everyone getting cards.

@Jacob: Man, my 21:28 time on the 18th is going to take a while still. I have another 3080 installed already and I’ll probably sell it when I get this one. How does the upgrade program work if something doesn’t come out in 90 days? It’s a moot point? Assume you sign up for that and the advanced replacement/extended warranty when you check out on the EVGA website?

_7ucky_ My conspiratorial brain thinks EVGA is holding back cards until they get their prices update on the site and then they'll open the floodgates. I hope this is not the case, but it wouldn't surprise me.
That makes no logical sense though. They are NOT making more money from the price increases, they are PAYING more to get the cards made & to people, which results in higher prices...
There is a short term opportunity to increase margin on the products that cleared customs in 2020 and in their inventory now, but I doubt the delta is material enough to cause them to deliberately delay drops.... The numbers are just not large enough to matter, especially when you factor in all the other channels (including RMA) that they need to feed. The headache of deliberately holding back is not worth the effort.

At that heart of it, I agree with you all and that's why I caveated with my "conspiratorial brain" bit because my logical brain doesn't really think this would be the case. However... it isn't that far-fetched to say there may something to this notion. An admin announcement in the Stockdrops discord server claims an EVGA rep said a price increase is on the way and that EVGA is holding back cards until it decides what to do about pricing. Obviously, take anything you read on unofficial internet channels with a grain of salt. And also, waiting to "decide what to do" is not in itself confirmation of a play to make additional margins from existing stock. But, on the other hand, the admin claims this is directly from an EVGA rep. So, hypothetically, what are we to think if a price increase does happen and suddenly there was a healthy volume of cards being shipped out to people in the queue after the weeks leading up to the increase dried up? All that said, I'm still behind EVGA, I'd understand the decision to do something like this from a business standpoint, and they'll be my GPU of choice as they have for the past 3 cards I've owned. We queue folk are still all in it together! ( dons tinfoil hat, but it makes you think!)

Was able to snag a 3090 FTW Ultra last week on Newegg! Finally got it installed yesterday. If you are waiting on the queue, I suggest using twitter @stockdrops and turning on notifications. Have the Newegg app installed and payment info already put in. Going to remove myself form queue.

My 3090 arrived today. I'm not off the queue yet as my new power supply is not here. What's the worst that happens if I use my current PSU? My machine shuts off? Or would my card possibly be damaged?
