I think that the "no pick up available within 250 miles" really means "sold out". It could say "you're too slow, someone else got it"

I had a late night watching the election returns from Georgia, so I will keep this short...but not sweet. Other than the 3080 FTW3 Ultras that dropped yesterday, 2021 has started out with a whimper and with uncertainty around a potential price increase purportedly due to the expiration of the tariff waiver.... I’m in SE PA too. I had the Quakertown, Montgomeryville, and KoP stores available yesterday at random points...but it wouldn’t let me check out...then suddenly “no stores within 250 miles”. Ugh

just curious for the BB "250 miles". Were you logged into your BB account, (which also included your home address, zip, etc)? When I made my first attempts to buy via BB, I was not logged on. Once I logged on, plus had my account profile filled out, I was able to make a purchase of which they shipped the GPU to my profiled store.

To answer your question, when your name comes up on the queue, you will receive an "invite to purchase" email from EVGA (it will come from ordernotify@evga.com so you may want to whitelist that email address). You will have 8 hours to click on the link in that email to order your card directly from EVGA. They will ship it via UPS to your address in North America (defined as Canada, US and Puerto Rico). If you miss that 8 hour window for any reason, please PM me and I'll try to help you from there. If you use an Associate’s Code at checkout for a 5% discount off of the purchase price of the card (so, slightly better than Best Buy). Several members of this thread, myself included, are Associates (and you can find an associate's code in their signature block at the bottom of each of their forum posts). If you receive an "invite to purchase" email and complete your order by 2 pm PT, it should ship out from EVGA's warehouse that afternoon. Best of luck!

I think that the "no pick up available within 250 miles" really means "sold out". It could say "you're too slow, someone else got it" It looks like they're allocating cards on either a per-store basis, or a per-area basis, but that the website sees combined inventory for all stores/areas. Thus, your area's allocation may have been sold through already, but there's no stock left. It could also be that their system doesn't handle the things they've done to slow down the checkout process entirely gracefully--That it treats the inventory as allocated, but still in stock (thus the live "add to cart" button), until the people with those actual allocations manage to complete their purchases.

I'm in Seattle and I got one from the BB drop. It's just limited stock per store and getting the timing right. I wasn't even signed in or anything and I was able to get an Nvidia 3070 yesterday. Will be picking up in Northgate when it's available. You just gotta stay in queue and keep trying. I follow this guy "Warrior64" on twitter who announced the BB drop and he's always announcing drops before the bot twitter pages alert to drops. My friend was also able to snag a card because of his page. Just keep trying and know that it will take some time. But you'll get it.

I got one through the queue in October...and then had to give it to my brother because his gpu died and he was without any gaming functionality. I've been on an old (3 years old) Alienware gaming laptop that gets me approximately 42 FPS on Rocket League (almost unplayable) but I could at least game. Boy, that was a LOOOONG conversation and, yes, he recognizes the sacrifice I made so that he can play right now (he works in a hospital in a front line capacity so it was a pretty easy call for me to hand it over). I am still waiting for a Hydro Copper which remains delayed indefinitely. And, if the rumors are true, I may have yet another issue to consider if/when the 3080Tis are announced.
It is weird. I started the queue tracking project to keep myself sane while I waited for my name to come up in the queue. I am old (45+ years old) and cannot compete at the F5 contest and unwilling to risk my health waiting outside the Tustin MicroCenter overnight in the middle of a pandemic, so the queues are pretty much my only option. I shared the table once or twice in the thread and it seemed to help others, so I kept doing it. Now it is basically part of my daily routine and, usually, reasonably manageable. My daughter often complains that I care more about my EVGA (pronounced by her as "EV-GA" folks) than I do about her, but she wants a better rocket league experience too, so she is trying to be patient as well. Anyway...yes, it takes time, but this community has really lifted my spirits and the summary is something I can do to contribute....
But enough about me...let's go get our cards! Good luck today!

Will do. I started when it was first free to PSN+ back in 2016. More than 1000 hours into it and I still suck. At best...Platinum 1 on duos and threes. I am simply not worthy...but as a soccer fan, I absolutely love it. It feels more "video game soccer" to me than FIFA and I've been playing FIFA for more than 20 years.

Price increase is thanks to Tariffs, not demand. And since it's a done deal, even if they get repealed I doubt prices will go back down anytime soon. Good news is it might reduce demand. Bad news is the tariffs will probably also reduce the amount of stock heading towards the US.
