I got in under the 10-minute mark. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

I think the best thing is to be below 9:01:00

A lot of people were under 5 minutes.

That's it I give up. It's just not meant to be. I've had a card in my cart over 30 times and still it eludes me. It's time to become a cyborg and become one with the machine. Time to install the Neuralink.

Would prefer the 3897, but I'm roughly 4 years away in that queue so at this point I'll take whatever I can get.

Well, there's a high chance I won't end up actually purchasing either one of them, especially not the Kingpin, unless my noti comes in after they open back up on the 3rd of January:

It is gonna be really hard to keep justifying to myself having an $1846 GPU that barely outperforms one that I can get for ~$850 though. lol  So unless I find some stuff I can do that will actually leverage that extra vRAM & make it worth my while... eh, who knows.
 
Hopefully the queue moves just fast enough to run in to me  after the Christmas/New Years break.

That was the plan all along, once they're back up, they stay up.  Except for the Kingpin, it will likely disappear never to re-appear again (until next time they have stock almost ready) once they've got a queue big enough for whatever batch they know they have being made.

I'd take a 3070 right now if its available.

I have been lurking for a few days, but I got a little lucky with the 3998 (12/16/2020 9:03:17 AM PT) and 3898 (12/16/2020 9:04:11 AM PT) queue.
 
I am hoping to upgrade from a GTX 1080. But I am unsure if the case I want to use (o11 mini) will support either of these cards.

Can someone please educate me, what's the allure/benefits of the hybrid

Finally got in!  My windows 10 machine was spinning and spinning, so I logged into my QNAP NAS and fired up a suspended virtual Ubuntu box running Firefox.  I go through a VPN connected to LA on that box, so maybe that help.

Well lower temps. Plus you have a good chance of getting a card soon if you got in queue early enough. Instead of months from now.

Man, I didn't even know this was hitting today -- would rather have FTW Hybrid than XC Hybrid, for sure.
