True plus if anything I'm sure this purchase falls under the holiday return policy so like end of January I believe.

If the 3080 Ti story is real, which I doubt it is, no way they'll release a refresh 3 months after the initial card, I'll just step up to it :-P lol

Nah it won't be in 3 months. If the Pascal roadmap is anything to go by, probably 5 to 6 months. It was even longer going from the 1080 to the 1080 Ti (almost a year!).

For many retailers, yes.

If you want a console -- and can find a console -- I don't know of a reason not to get a console.  Both Microsoft and Sony appear to have done a decent job of it.  Microsoft is pursuing the long tail of bundled game subscriptions and Sony is doubling down on standalone game purchases.  It will be an interesting battle...and the war is far from over.  For me...I will dabble with a console with my daughter, but otherwise I will be over on my gaming PC (still to be built -- @$#%! NVIDIA) watching from the sidelines and enjoying my superlative gaming goodness.

Every time I look at it, I seem to be losing ground instead of gaining it. When I originally signed up, I was around 187 for the 3080 XC3 Ultra; now I am 235. I was 233 just yesterday. It's like watching the hallway scene in Poltergeist over and over again.

I think it's better to follow this thread since enewt keeps the times up to date, which looks to be a far better measure than counting rows that seem to get added all the time.

Same. I think I dropped about 200 spots lol. But with where I am positioned at and if rumors are true, I have more time to decide to buy a 3080ti rather than being on the spot to buy a 3080 now.

I just want to point out that I received my FTW3 Ultra 3080 today and it has a black clown face instead of a red clown face (on both sides).

Amazing.

Interesting development.  Thanks for the report back.  Hopefully that doesn't ruin your intended color scheme.

If there is any good to take away from these long waits, it is this. I'm so glad that they have changed that silly red accent (into a silly black accent?) and that it won't be something to contend with once I (eventually, one day) am able to order and install my very own 3080.

If you're talking bout the 3080 FTW3 Ultra queue. I almost believe those 200 entries are fake. I was checking the list that night and they appeared literally in a few hours time.

And this is after the list had been around and seemed to have flatlined on receiving new entries.

Time will tell with that though. I posted in this thread about it.

There is some hanky-panky going on with the spreadsheets from time to time.  My best advice, is to keep reporting developments to this thread and we will collectively work to keep out folks informed.

Glad to know that is the case because, yeah, just yesterday I was 1243 and now I'm in the 1400s. Either way, still gives me time to decide with the ftw3 ultra or with the ti if rumors are true.

Edit: @EVGA_JacobF tweeted about 24 minutes ago that some more FTW3 Ultra's apparently just dropped -- across 3090, 3080 and 3070 -- but it isn't clear if this is for the step-up queue or for ours.

I think Numbers are irrelevant at this point, I just watch the time and date movement, It was substantial today, Good news come to those that wait.
EBAY is getting much lower in the current price which is also a good sign, Getting close to not recouping the selling fees for those only getting cards to resell. These pressures should surely start to move the lines faster I would think, linked with the Launch of AMD cards next week .

Nah it won't be in 3 months. If the Pascal roadmap is anything to go by, probably 5 to 6 months. It was even longer going from the 1080 to the 1080 Ti (almost a year!).

That's exactly what I keep telling people.  July or October, maybe a bit earlier, would be more realistic.  They have never, ever, refreshed a line early because of competition.  I don't expect them to start now.

Because in the history of this company they have never, ever, released a refresh this quick regardless of competition.  They didn't when the R9 295x2 made their GPUs look like garbage in comparison, they have timelines & they stick to them.

And again, you keep saying the 6900XT has no competition... it's only beating/meeting a 3090 with SAM & rage mode, which I've said in response to this comment about fifteen times now.

Regardless of what they do, I'm set, I'll have the ability to step up in the unlikely even they DO release them then, if they don't, I'll be happy with my Hybrid 3080 when I get it.

That's exactly what I keep telling people.  July or October, maybe a bit earlier, would be more realistic.  They have never, ever, refreshed a line early because of competition.  I don't expect them to start now.

I can't recall the last time Nvidia got direct competition from a graphics card that was $500 cheaper.

Does anybody know if there is a way to see where you are at in the queue? I signed up for a few different versions of the 3070. Do we know when a restock will be rolling through? Thanks !

Hi.  Welcome to the thread.  Can you post the date and times of your "auto-notifies" (found here: https://www.evga.com/community/myNotifies.asp).  We can then give you a very ROUGH estimate of where you are in the queue for each card.  Given that the 3070 series is highly sought after, the current start of most of the queues still sits within a few minutes of the 3070 launch at 6 am on 10/29.

Again, welcome to this thread; we are a ragtag group of folks hunting (but most waiting for) our graphics cards (to find us).

Thanks.  For those two queues, here is where the start of line currently resides:

Card                               SKU                           Current Start of Queue
3070 XC3 Ultra                3755                            N/A (No drops yet)
3070 XC3 Black               3751                          10/29/2020 06:09:16

Given where these lines are, in my estimation, it is unlikely for you to see an "invite to purchase" email for the 3070 Black until mid to late December at the earliest (likely into 2021).  And because we have not seen any drops for the XC3 3070 Ultra, any estimate I give you would be 100% speculation.

I am sorry I don't have better news for you.
