Just wanted to say thanks for implementing this, should put a lot of folks at ease. Wouldn't mind seeing the time window increased from 5 hours to maybe 10-12 though. When I'm working I don't always get to check my personal e-mail. Will do my best though, once the Hydro Copper model releases.

This is live already for US and CA.

Awesome!
Is there a way to check if you already signed up on the cards?
I'm thinking I didn't originally because the cards were going so fast that notifications never got sent to me. Thus me thinking "there is no point"

So there could be cases where someone was quick and signed up to every card on day 1, that person theoretically will get multiple first in line emails to buy one of each card ?  they are not going to be re-shuffled back on other card queues if they decide to make a purchase on the first?

sounds like that's the case. they can buy one of each model as they become available.

I still havent seen any answer about fulfillment speed.  How quickly are we moving thru the list? I understand that we cant know our position on the list, but if possible could the number of cards coming on a given week be provided, so we can extrapolate how long it might be before they are in our sticky, greasy hands?

Yeah that's how I read it too.  I think an ideal model would allow for multiple purchases, just a queue reset for other models after the first.  This currently if correct allows a person to score a handful of cards all at once before many others when the system overhaul seems designed to get a card in more people's hands.

Maybe if they can't give a relative place in line maybe a mark in the profile to show which cards you are signed up for in general?

Something to consider, for those of us that signed up for multiple cards.. Maybe you should include a link in the Email that allows us to cancel the hold on it.
Going to feel bad when I do buy one, and I get an email for another one later on (different card) and its going to be stuck for 8 hours.

Most of us are nice enough when we already have it, we will release any other one right away for others can get those cards.

Just a thought.  I mean I'm not at the point yet.  But for future reference.

I would like this as well.  I clicked notify on all of the 3080s but am only interested in one at the moment.  I'd like to free up my spot on the other cards for other people.

EVGA definitely wins with this. By far they have handled things better than the other brands. They have been the most forth coming with information and I feel like have supplied more stock than anyone else.

ETA: Hm...only one problem...people messing up and clicking the wrong link, then desperately calling EVGA to try to reverse it.

So right now, with 8 hours to purchase and emails only being sent out during business hours, they can only send out 1 email per card every 24 hours. Any cards that don't get purchased will have to wait until the next business day before someone has the opportunity to buy them.

Wouldn't it be twice as fast to send out emails at any time as they are released with 12 hours to purchase?

Fantastic idea to battle the bots. Has anyone received email confirmation after signing up for in stock notification or since Jacob mentioned its live for US & CA did anyone get the super secret link to complete purchase yet?

I only signed up for the 3090 FTW3 ULTRA GAMING and hope there are some available soon

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2020/10/06 12:00:05 (permalink)
EVGA_JacobF
We have made some changes to the checkout process for EVGA.com 30 Series orders. Now we are using a queue based notification system.

To sign up, use the notification button on the product you would like to be notified for. For everyone who already used the notify button previously, you are already entered. Once product is available (and it is your turn to purchase), you will receive a secure email that will allow you to purchase the product that you received a notification for. Please note that you have 8 hours to place your order, if your order is not complete within 8 hours, the product will be released back into queue system.

Also note that your email address that was used for the notify system MUST MATCH an email that has a registered EVGA account, if an account is not available with that email, you will need to create one before you can purchase.

Also note that this system will be available for US store first and evaluating for other regions.

Thanks
EVGA

coonwhiz
If I've already signed up to be notified, do I need to re-sign up?

Nope, if you already signed up to be notified you do not need to sign up again.

chillinc
I signed up for an auto notification for a card a while ago, but reading this post I re-submitted a notification request (prior to realizing that my original request saved a place in line). Did that reset my place in line, or is my original place in line intact from when I originally requested a stock notification?

It will go by your earliest entry. Even if you re-enter it will maintain your original entry into the notification system.

pau164
Argh, I only just signed up for the notification! I hope I'm not too far down the queue. Oh well, I'm just glad it's an option.

A few questions, though. Are we supposed to receive any acknowledgement email when we sign up for notification? I did not.
Also, is there an email address we should whitelist to ensure we get the notification email?
Finally, can a notification be sent for multiple cards? I'll buy whichever XC3 3080 is available to me first.

Email will come from support@evga.com

Mkilbride2599
@evga_jacob I have to ask. I work nights, 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM. So I sleep during the day. What if I'm asleep while my email comes? Is it 5 hours once you click the link or once you get the email? It could be a pain for me if it comes at like 12 PM and I wake up at 6:30 PM.

We are doing a small test right now so due to the time anyone outside of the 8 hour window will allow exception for this test run. Going forward (after 10/6) the emails will be released during normal business hours.

Omwdiinx21
When will more stock be available for this new system?

This week.

Tommy C
What happens to the cards that dont get bought within the 5 hour time limit? do they go back into the email pool?

Will there be "email releases" and "public releases"?

Yes they will go back into the email pool. Right now there will only be email/notification releases from evga.com. You will still be able to find it at etail/retail also.

jspataro99
Hi Jacob. Will this queue system also be in place when the 3090 hybrids and Kingpin editions release?

Not yet determined on this.

Lazaredz
Haven't seen this clarified so ....

If I get the link to the XC3 and buy it, does that drop me off the FTW list?

Like is the 1 per household per card or per GPU family?

Its limit 1 per card.
