I just wanted to stop by and thank EVGA for doing a queue based system. As someone who doesn’t really have the time to bother checking a website every two minutes for stock just to be bought out by scalpers or other very excited buyers. Looking forward to getting a 3070 to upgrade from my 1660 Super!

Yeah I was thinking about this as well. I'm glad EVGA's taken some measures to get cards into the hands of honest customers and not scalpers/bots. Especially since it seems like other sellers are well aware of the issue, but don't care enough to actually do anything about it.

I'm ignorant when it comes to the technical side of shopping websites, but is it really that hard to stop bots from buying stock or do places like Newegg just not care?

I really want an evga card but according to the spreadsheet I have to wait until february. This is like waiting to buy the valve index all over again. I hate this year

Best Buy now does manual checks before you can add to cart. Although last drop it sold out within 5 minutes anyway

The way things are right now, do you fellas think we won't see stocks normalize across all brands until maybe Q2 2021? It certainly looks like it.

I am in the same boat as you are. I hope that is a overly pessimistic estimate and the rate the queue orders get filled accelerates significantly.  Waiting 3 months is crazy.

EVGA should not be introducing additional new products until the supply situation for the existing products improves.

Honestly, I think it will be early Q1, personally. I think manufacturing will pick up exponentially (faster and faster as the weeks go on), and AMD will take a piece of Nvidia's pie, meaning less people will keep waiting for Nvidia cards and just buy AMD cards.

So, I'd be surprised if we get far into February without 30XX series cards being basically readily available.

While I don't think Nvidia was ever trying to "hold back stock," I do think competition from AMD could create a more intense sense of urgency with Nvidia.

Making customers wait for product is bad, but when customers have other options, many of them simply won't wait. Nvidia now has a specific reason to increase supply in a meaningful way before November 18th. However, I don't know how much power they have to make it happen right now.

There should already be readily available inventory of Nvidia cards.
Shame on Nvidia for this launch of 30xx cards.

Do BestBuy have a certain time of day they put cards on the website? What about other online retailers?

Just speculation. And at this point it seems like bad speculation. I doubt we will see a noticeable huge influx until next year, as NoVideo CEO warned...

Agree. NVidia are handing AMD a huge opportunity on a silver platter. If AMD have enough stock to meet demand, they are going to take a huge chunk of the market share purely because of availability. Big 'if' though. Really sucks for AIBs like EVGA who are not in any way at fault here.

Guess this week will reveal a lot. If they are able to move some of the 3070 queues atleast a few minutes we may have some hope else the queue system while well intended is mostly a gimmick.

I guess we'll find out, but I don't understand why the queue system would be a "gimmick". I have not seen any other AIB's or retailers employing this kind of system anywhere. If anything, it's to give everyone an equal chance at being able to buy these cards, considering the current situation with bots and the "demand issue" (per Jensen).

I know we all want cards now, but if you're on the queue just be a little patient. Otherwise, you can try your luck with Discord stock updates or the Distill browser extension but I guarantee you, you will lose out to bots 99% of the time.

I made the comment because it seems that there are hundreds of evga cards on NE and AMZN everyday and barely a fraction here. Honestly I don't even think it's the bots anymore, just demand and supply being totally out of whack and 1000s of people descending on every single drop.

Just wondering since ive been on the wait since September 21st. i saw a Google Doc that was floating around that showed people who got emails and received cards.. and those who have not with an ETA. My ETA states late February 2021. Is this a reliable source?

It depends if they get more stock. If they do and they release more into the queue, the line will go much faster. If not, then be prepared to wait a little longer.

I've been following this thread and the spreadsheet since the single digit pages and when I signed up, it estimated I'd get a 3080 FTW3 Ultra by the end of october. while it wasn't entirely accurate, it was a pretty good estimate in my case. with the larger drop this last week that saw the queue jump forward about an hour, the ramping up that is supposedly happening and some people who may drop queues if they get a 3070/an amd card, I imagine your Feb 2021 estimate isn't correct. all depends on which card you signed up for as well since some queues tend to move quicker than others

Some of those guesstimates look at the notification times and conclude that if it took 3 weeks to get through one day of signups, it'll take until next year to get through a week of signups. That's clearly bs - the bulk of signups are in the first day, even the first hour, and then get a lot thinner on the ground over time, so as production ramps up (or so we keep hearing), and the notify queue thins out, the queue should move a lot faster relative to the date and time you signed up.

You know the sneaker guys are now buying the cards for speculation. Stockx, a sneaker site has cards listed for bid as collectibles.

The 'bid' for selling them on that site now barely gives you any profit after you figure in your after tax cost and insured shipping to them. Nvidia is 100% responsible for this though, they are the AI company and yet their servers were wide open on 9/17 to every script kiddie to steal inventory from.

The sneaker bots have been at it since the launch of 9/17.  I take some small comfort when I see on stockx, ebay and the like that the historical sales price on the 30 series is decreasing.  If we, as a community, continue to hold the line and not patronize scalpers that trend should continue.

Speaking personally, until EVGA started the queue, I was unclear as to how/when I would ever have a chance at a 3080 or 3090.  I had failed so many times: at launch on NVIDIA's site, countless times on Newegg and Best Buy where I was able to get a card into my cart but not check out, on EVGA's own site (pre queue), B&H Photo and Video, Microcenter...the list goes on and on.  I am no longer a spring chicken and the F5 battle was both disheartening and exhausting.  I don't yet have a card...but I am confident that I will eventually get one through EVGA's queues.  I am so thankful for their effort (I cannot imagine it was easy to do this in a midst of such a challenging launch) and the community on this thread.  I've learned a great deal from the posts in this thread and just having this dialog to refer -- and to contribute -- to has made the wait more tolerable.  Thank you all.  Let's hope this week brings us big drops and no whammys!

I wonder ... does someone from Europe actually recieved any card ?
I know most of the users here are from states, but it would be nice if Evga successfully ships any units in Europe.

Actually the last sale for a reference 3080 was over 1300 bucks, on Stockx, so scalpers are making money, unfortunately. Current bids are moving higher.

As most people have signed up for multiple cards the line should move faster than expected. I also plan to buy a 6900XT if I can get one. Perhaps some folks will setting for a AMD card and drop out.
