To those who purchased their 3070's today, how much was the total including shipping (within US)?

the total will vary slightly based on your local sales tax rate.

So for my 3070 KL sku:
$499+6%tax + $25 shipping = $554.99

but I used an associate code to take 5% off, so it was really:
$474.99+6%tax + $25 shipping = $528.49

Rig2: EPYC 7B12 | [5] 3080Ti + [2] 2080Ti
Rig3: EPYC 7B12 | [6] 3070Ti + [2] 3060
Rig4: [2] EPYC 7742 | RTX A2000
Rig5: [2] EPYC 7642
Rig6: EPYC 7551 | [4] Titan V

A quick reminder to those that got cards today.  If they arrive tomorrow or Sunday, please make sure to submit your Watchdogs code before Sunday night tonight (see edit below).  I believe the codes expire at the end of the month.

isaiahsix8
Wow I didn’t realize. I should do that tonight.

If possible, I would do it before COB Friday night in case you have an issue and need to contact EVGA support (as they are the retailer of record).  Good luck!

Edit: Yikes, the Watchdogs expiration might be tonight! (Thanks Celeras.)  If you have them on hand, I would go ahead and try to activate the code.  If you don't because you just ordered today/this week, I would check the email you receive from EVGA carefully to see if there is a digital code in there or any instructions....

*Offer good for a qualifying purchase of GeForce RTX 3090, GeForce RTX 3080, or GeForce RTX 3070. Game code offer good beginning September 17, 2020 until October 29, 2020 or while supplies last. Bundle codes for Watch Dogs: Legion and the 1-year GeForce NOW Founders membership may only be redeemed beginning September 17, 2020 until November 30, 2020 or while supplies last....more words...Game must be redeemed with qualifying graphics card installed.

Should be ok to redeem codes until 30 November according to the T&Cs...

Just one thing, it looks like the only promotion for the 3070s is the GeForce NOW, no Watchdogs Legion whatsoever. They should have expanded that longer and to other cards with this whole scalper bull that went on.

well I got my notification email for my Launch edition 3070 Black (KL). order placed.

my queue time was 06:07:00am PST.

it feels like a bit of nickel and diming having them charge $25 for god awfully slow UPS ground shipping, but at least an associate code basically cancelled that out. I really don't understand EVGA's shipping prices. If i can ship them a GPU via USPS priority and have it get there in 3 days, and it costs ~$15 at the retail counter (i've RMA'd several cards and shipped several full retail packaging cards to CA), how is it possible that they are unable to get bulk shipping rates cheaper? makes me think they are overcharging on shipping rates. I wouldnt mind so much is UPS wasnt so slow.

and the faster "options" also with UPS were 150 and 200 dollars. dear lord i hope no one is paying for that.

I did the Step-up to a 3080 and shipping my card from FL to CA cost $77 for priority mail.  $52 was the cheapest from any shipping company for Ground Service with no guarantee delivery date and that was UPS.  When I saw the Ground Shipping cost from EVGA to get my card, I had the opposite reaction from you.  I was wondering how they got it so cheap!!

you must have wayyy over packed that thing in a huge box to get the price that high. or paid someone to box it and pack it for you.

USPS Priority flat rate shipping is $15 to anywhere in the country and any weight, and you get a free box LOL.

I packed it myself.  Shipping requirement stated at least 2" of packing material spacing around the box, so none of the flat rate boxes worked.  If anything, it was smaller than the 2" requirement.  2" top and bottom and 1" on either side.  It was messed up.  You'll see similar pricing from other members in the 3080 Step-up queue.  We're all shocked how expensive it was to ship it back.  Trust me, most of us tried the flat rate boxes.

I bought an 850 originally. Then I reconsidered based on what I’ve been hearing about voltage spikes. So I bought a 1000w PSU. Took forever to find one available. And I was too late to return the 850w. I wouldn’t have been able to afford it had I not offloaded the 850w to a brother for MSRP.

Had the launch gone more smoothly, it would have already been in my system and I wouldn’t have had time to rethink everything. I am not sure if it is a blessing or a curse re my psu issue -- time will tell —but I am darn sure I would have rather had a normal launch and have a gpu in my system even with an 850w. That is all by way of saying, if you can afford the 1000w I would get it for any system with a 3080 or a 3090 if you intend to OC. Otherwise, I think the 850w should be fine.

I was looking for an EVGA G2 850, and found one from a reseller on Newegg for around $400, but luck was shining on me that day because Newegg had a $200 MSRP EVGA G2 1000 and I snatched that right up.

Very nice. I ended up with a Seasonic. The 1000w EVGA I wanted was out of stock at the time I made the call to switch and I was worried that I wasn’t going to be able to find a psu given the inventory shortages I had been seeing.

every single RMA or GPU i've shipped has been in a flat rate box. never has one been damaged, and EVGA accepted all RMAs. I'm talking 50+ cards in the last few years.

but if you like wasting money that's on you I guess.

the fact remains that EVGA should be able to get (and hence offer to their customers) much cheaper shipping rates due to the volume they are shipping.

To those who purchased their 3070's today, how much was the total including shipping (within US)?

Mine is $100 shipping to Vancouver BC, Canada. :(

I'm hoping that Jacob can sort it out for me.

I have a Seasonic 750W platinum. I'm not worried about it being too weak for a 3080.

Yes, $100USD for the cheapest option. Seems to be a problem for Canada with the 3070.

Woah. Where is it shipping to?? I was going to use a cargo forwarder because I'm outside the US, but I might just go with that option instead.

Now my main decision is, do i get a 1000w or an 850w psu to replace this anemic 600w...

Ive wanted to try OCing, but i dont have a good enough understanding and dont want to fry anything lol! I was considering between the corsair 850x and the Evga 850 or 1000w g3. Between the 3070 and the monitor upgrade i got recently, my extra breathing room budget is really light. I just dont think the 600w will be able to run it everything smoothly, especially when i get the FTW 3080 step-up, not that my system is High end anymore. Just a i7-6700k, a 1070 Armor, 3 fans, and a couple SSDs. Looking at future proofing with new builds as well.

I went with the 1000w G3.  Even if it ends up being overkill, I like the head room.

Jacob's choice of word for other SKUs of 3070 other than launch one is interesting. He said "in few days" when asked about when the email for other SKUs will go out.
Generally he says clearly if it's next day or next week. Given that he has chosen to say next few days and not next week, it has kept me wondering, Is EVGA planning to sent out notifications of 3070 on weekend also?

To those who purchased their 3070's today, how much was the total including shipping (within US)?

Mine is $100 shipping to Vancouver BC, Canada. :(

I'm hoping that Jacob can sort it out for me.

$100 USD?

Yes, $100USD for the cheapest option. Seems to be a problem for Canada with the 3070.

That definitely doesn't sound right. I paid $37 USD for shipping my 3080 to Canada. I'd contact Jacob and get that sorted out.

Congrats to all those who got cards. This system is worlds better and even if I have to wait cause I used the wrong SKU # or whatever happened this morning, I am fine with it as long as botters don't get the cards and create this ridiculous up charge on the cards.

Thanks to all the mods for all the help. Can't wait to get the 3070 and then in a month the 3090 FTW3 for my main gaming rig. Going to be epic.

Yeah all evidence supports so. May be I am trying to read too much in between lines, but the optimist in me clings on to the little hope I have

Decided to hit auto notify on the 3070 since I actually was able to do it on day one this time.

Still debating if I should wait for the 3080. My 780ti that I had for about 8 years died 2 weeks ago and I ended up getting the GTX970 on offer up just so I can squad up on COD temporarily. If the 3080 is that much better than the 3070 and can outlast the 3070 in the long run (both life and future games for a long time) then I can patiently wait. I'm just 1244 on the spreadsheet for the 3080 lol.
