vegnar For the 3080 XC3 Ultra last reported time was 15:43, got this time from twitter :
9/16/2020 3:43:58 PM PT
So at least we seem to be close to the 4pm mark for the XC3 Ultra.
Thanks. The footnote "**" in my table shows the last reported time as 15:57:08. Yes, we are very close to 4 pm.

I'm in the queue since 10/16 for any available 3080. I see they are working on 9/17. Does this mean I probably won't expect a card before the end of the year?

It will be awhile before any of the 3080 queues get to 10/16 (quite possibly into 2021). I would recommend maintaining your spots in the queues, but if you have the stomach for it, to continue the F5 battle with the bots on other storefronts. Sorry I don't have better news.

For anyone who cares about the 3090 FTW3 Ultra and might have missed the other thread here is a way to view it on the spreadsheet by filtering: Thanks to trent3d1 trent3d1 PSA: Until the spreadsheet tracker is fixed for the 3090 FTW Ultras, you can still see where you are in the tracker if you create your own filtered view (which is easy). 1. Go to the "All Sorted" tab of the workbook. 2. At the top left of the spreadsheet (under the menus), you can click the "funnel" looking icon dropdown, and then select "Create new temporary filter view" OR click the "Data" menu and go down to "Filter Views" and then select "Create new temporary filter view." 3. Go to the column header for B and click the filter icon on the top right of the header, and deselect all values except for "EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 ULTRA" Voila, you should now see the tracked queue list for 3090 FTW3 Ultras.

So the card I really want is the 3080 ftw3 ultra. I'm pretty early in the queue for a 3070 ftw3 ultra so chances are I'll see that first. Got into queue 23mins after launch for the 3070. My understanding is I can take the 3070 then do a step up to the 3080 and only pay shipping. First is that correct? 2nd if that is true am I able to do a step up based in my original spot in queue for the 3080 or would I have to requeue in the setup up program?

Thanks. The spreadsheet is still a little bit behind. The data from the table I circulated earlier reflects the most up to date data I have seen. For the 3090 FTW3 Ultra: Card Auto-Notify Date/Time Current Position Number Increased Positions Change in Date/Time3090 FTW3 Ultra 9/24/2020 15:14:12 * 118 +0 N/A * The 3090 FTW3 Ultra sheet in offline. From our thread or DM we are aware of +3 cards sold on 10/29. Those +3 confirmed sales would take the current position number to 121. Those sales would move the date/time to at least 15:14:12 (with kevintrisha’s date/time stamp still TBD); that reflects a change of at least 00:13:11. Hopefully the spreadsheet will get fixed today. In the meantime, should you receive a 3090 FTW3 Ultra email (congratulations) and please report back to our thread.

You pay for the difference in the price of the cards. Effectively you get the 3070 rent-free for a couple of months or however long it takes. They don't upgrade you from 3070 to 3080 for free. The step-up is a separate from normal orders, so your effective 'notification date' would be the day your step up request is accepted. We do not know if EVGA are giving priority to step ups, but it would seem highly unlikely.

I would be careful with that approach (I don't recommend it absent exigent circumstances). There is a huge line for the step-up program so if you buy the 3070, you may be waiting for an extended period of time for your 3080 step up number to get called. Although I have not gone through it myself, it is my understanding that you would have to pay full sales taxes on both cards as well as the delta in price. The step-up program queue is different than the auto-notify queue and not interchangeable. Rlaverty774 Thank you. So it appears my choice will be wait it out for a 3080 or accept the 3070 and requeue for the step up.
Correct.

Not at all. Depends on the card of course, but a large percentage of the total queue for all cards were registered on the first day, so once they get through that, the queue will move a lot quicker relative to notification request date.
Well, that makes me feel a little better!

Yup pretty much. Depends what card you are using now - if you have a 1080 or 2080 it's still a reasonably good card so you might as well wait for the 3080 as the step up route is very likely going to take longer. If you have a really crappy old card right now, then perhaps grab the 3070 so you have a decent card to use in the interim, but you'll be waiting longer for the step up to the 3080.

Yes, the link at the bottom of my signature goes to the self-report form (with a further link to view the spreadsheet). However, even filtering the 3090 FTW3 Ultra data as you suggest misses the last several purchases which we received reports on in our thread yesterday. So, yes, the manual filtering works...but the spreadsheet tab for the 3090 is still broken and its current data is less complete that what this thread has reported. And, until the 3090 FTW3 Ultra tab is fixed, it is unlikely that the spreadsheet's data for that sku will be updated.

LOL. Yes, I try to avoid that. I am not the fastest typist and I think often when the thread is active our posts cross in the ether. That said, it is good to offer alternative perspectives; I am hopeful that both of our perspectives provide value...but yes, to be avoided when possible. Happy Friday!

I'm at position 121 according to the list, the information hasn't updated in 3 days on there. I guess it's what it is. *shrug*

It being fixed would be nice but it does not stop people from adding those purchases to the main list. It just hasn't been done. I am not going to sign up with my email or whatever to be able to add them but someone else could do it to keep it up to date. EDIT: You're right your link does work now. It was erroring out for me, too many people clicking I guess

Rlaverty774 I was using a 460...I'm currently using an integrated graphics card. I wouldnt be so eager for a new card if it wasnt such a huge upgrade
Ahh ok in that case if you got on the 3070 notification queue nice and early, then it might be worth grabbing that and waiting longer for a 3080 as a step up. The 3070 is supposedly almost the same level as a 2080Ti so that would be a huge improvement over the 460 ...but again, you'll be in for a longer (possibly much longer) wait to step up to the 3080... I'd be tempted to take that step-up route under the circumstances, unless you're fairly close to receiving the email for the 3080. Which 3080 card did you register for, and what time? You can find out here: https://www.evga.com/community/myNotifies.asp

raidersfan64 I can't even buy anything for the past hour, I keep getting Runtime errors good grief on checkout. Trying to take advantage of their sales atm. Hopefully this can be straightend out soon. just emailed the webmaster
Were you finally able to check out? Have you tried tweeting @EVGA_JacobF? Webmaster should be tried first, but Jacob can usually make things happen fast if need be...good luck!

Rlaverty774 Theres my dates
Thanks for posting. Even though your 3070 registration was within 30 minutes or so of launch, given that the bots and everybody else had notice of the use of the "auto-notify" button for queue purposes, I think your wait for that card may be significant. I think you will have some time to think about whether to pursue the step-up program approach or wait for the 3080. My unsolicited advice would be to wait for the 3080 as both of your waits may be significant. Waiting for the 3070 and then waiting again for step-up for the 3080 (along with all the additional cost and headache of changing out cards and shipping back)...will prolong your pain. And the smaller time delta between getting the 3070 installed earlier than the 3080 (and I am not even sure you will get the 3070 notice first given how heavily subscribed I think the 3070 sign up push was in the first minutes of launch yesterday) is, in my opinion, not worth it. I would hold out for the 3080; you will get to your preferred card into your case sooner that way. As an alternative, you should also consider maintaining your F5 battle on other sites and even look into the AMD gpus if that might work for your circumstances (it doesn't for me...I want an EVGA card). Best of luck!
