My wife left me greek yogurt for breakfast outside the quarantine door and I didn't have the strength to complain. But I intend to break out at some point today and try a very socially distant walk around the block later.

Yes, there are restrictions for DIY that have been in place for Queue 1.0, 2.1 and 3.0. Specifically, EVGA allows no more than one unit of each 30 series SKU purchased from them directly (excluding b-stock). So, if you got a unit of 3987 from the queue, you could not also get a unit of the same 3987 from the DIY tool. That is my understanding of the situation.

That's incorrect. If you buy a GPU from the DIY, that will count against you in queue 3. If you buy a GPU from the DIY then you would be prevented from buying that GPU again. The only place that is separate is B-Stock. Everything else on the site is tied to the same system. lciarlo

I recently tried to buy a second 3060 from the DIY for my other kid. It was blocked. I contacted EVGA to check and they indicated that you can only buy 1 GPU of a specific type from all places on the site excluding B-Stock.

Yeah, EVGA always seems to serve the North American queues before the EU queues. Though I have no idea how fast or slow 3785-EU is moving in particular.

The key here is whether the card in question is a retail suffix 30 Series card (e.g. -KR or -KL) purchased on EVGA.com. B-stock will not count towards a 30 Series purchase with regards to the Queue 3.0, nor will a product from other categories (such as a motherboard), but a standard warranty 30 Series card purchased from DIY will count towards a 30 Series purchase.
If I or another EVGA rep made conflicting or contradictory statements previously, please let me know and link me, so I can correct if necessary.
Will you be able to step up to a card that you have already bought? For example, if I get a 3070ti from the DIY and a 3090 (24G-P5-3987-KR) from the DIY. Would I be able to step the 3070ti up to the same 3090 (24G-P5-3987-KR)? I know there are limits buying more than one of the same card (directly, through the queue, and through DIY) but does that extend to the step up program too?

sounds weird, but i double checked and i obtained 2 3797 from the diy ok, after triple checking, I discovered i was wrong about getting both 3797's from the diy. i got one from the diy and one from the queue. very sorry about any confusion i caused.

I think (I wish) there's hope for us Europeans in queue for a 3070 Ti. The US queue for 3797 has reached the 27th of september, the day the queues were closed, meaning that that particularly queue has been fullfilled, and the US 3785's queue is up to the 8th of august, very close to the 09/27 deadline, and maybe (wishful thinking here) fullfilled too. That would mean that, worst case scenario, we need a few more 3785s directed to the US queue to completely fullfill it, best case scenario, any more GA104-400-A1 EVGA receive, and dedicated to fullfill a queue, will go into the EU queue. Eventually, they'll fullfill both 3797 and then 3785 with those. And, given the current market situation, it seems scalpers' (there's a special place in hell for them) market is hastily drying, if you take a look at ebay's auctions so, maybe they won't interfere (too much) with the VGAs' flow. Mind that I'm in line for and EU 3785 too so all my thoughts may be fooled by the fact I so hope I can get a 3070 Ti XC3 in the near future.

I have been in the queue for a 3897 since 12/30/20, I am expecting an email any day now but I realize it could be weeks before they stop dropping again. I am getting real tempted by that 12gig Hybrid that available in the DIY (12G-P5-4878-KL). But is the extra vram really going to be worth the extra $400 dollars? As someone who only updates hardware once every 5-7 years I got to look at future proofing as much as I can, but $400 is a new motherboard.

Its been over a week now that newegg has stopped doing the shuffle. Shame, cause at least that was one option to go for a card. not very reliable but some people did get some from them
