I took my first business trip in two years last week. DICE 2020 to DICE 2022. And, yup, you guessed it...yesterday, I tested Covid-positive. So far...I don't recommend it.
I'm quarantining from the rest of the family and -- knock on wood -- so far, the only one "hit".
Omicron is the one to get...I had it a month after getting boosted and I had virtually no symptoms...it's pretty mild if your vaxxed
I am vaxxed and boosted...but still...not recommended.

Feel better soon enewt. My partner is currently pregnant and we have been going crazy trying to avoid it here. Wonder how many more variants there will be before the kid comes... I guess between that and World War III, I should start building my underground bunker 😅.

Finally was able to order a 3080 12gb through the DIY configurator. What probably threw me before was the out of stock messages are not just for gpus but for the accessories. Also tried to order twice and swear I put in credit card and every thing and pretty sure I got a confirmation on the screen but first try to be aware your order isn't solid until you get an email verification. Just wish it wasn't LHR but was told mining voids warranty. Personally when I spend like over a $1000 on a graphics card I prefer it not be handicapped in anyway even though I rarely mine if ever.

So, if you buy off the diy, your not held to the same restrictions concerning 30 series card as you are with the queue 3.0

I'm pretty sure there is a way to know given the energy and clock speed the card would be running at.
Personally I don't care if my card is gimped on mining or not as I won't be.

I'm in the original queue a year and a half now, honestly don't believe I will ever get the notify email.. meanwhile, I'm watching folks across the water getting them in bundle deals despite the queue. Is anyone else here waiting as long or longer than I am? Kfraz88

I was also in the original queue for a 3080 for a year and a half also. I finally gave up when the 3070 Ti became available through the DIY system. A royal pain but oh well.
I have another card that is 8 months and waiting, but I doubt it will move.

Looks like cards are staying up now in the DIY config, because the Flipper price on Ebay is no longer profitable as of now, 15% plus tax plus shipping is a lot to overcome, looking like the Ebayer's should get rid of the cards out now before the investment tanks. The steady flow of FE has got their numbers at all time highs, and ya know those cards are back door deals at the best buy... Don't forget to use an associate code for a discount when checking out at the DIY Configurator , They work there too

You are. There was a response in this thread from EVGA. That counts as a 30 series purchase.

Does anyone know if a DIY 3 series purchase counts against you with the queues or is it only a 3 series queue purchase that counts against you?
Just a purchase from the 30 series queues count.
Not sure that is correct.
Queue 3.0 says "Customers who have purchased a 30 Series product from EVGA.com will be deprioritized in the VGA queue, and will become eligible to purchase their VGA notify product(s) after others in their tier purchase a 30 Series product."
Previous posts in the Queue 3.0 thread by EVGA personnel have clarified that b stock and other purchases from the EVGA websites don’t count for the question of whether you have previously purchased a 30 series card from the 30 series queues.
The key here is whether the card in question is a retail suffix 30 Series card (e.g. -KR or -KL) purchased on EVGA.com. B-stock will not count towards a 30 Series purchase with regards to the Queue 3.0, nor will a product from other categories (such as a motherboard), but a standard warranty 30 Series card purchased from DIY will count towards a 30 Series purchase.
If I or another EVGA rep made conflicting or contradictory statements previously, please let me know and link me, so I can correct if necessary.
