When can I expect to get the 3080 ti? I'm getting sick of my 2080 ti.
I think I'm close. Last drop was 6/30. I think I'm early July or something.

Oh, that SKU is moving very slow.  It hasn't even left its launch date in 6 months (Jun/30/2021).  My linear estimates say you will get it on or before Mar/24/2103 13:43:44 at current pace.  At this point, your best hope is either a new queue for the 40 series cards, or for the other 3080 ti queues to finish so EVGA can put more chips into 3953.

The last report of a drop to that queue was back in November 2021.  It hasn't moved in months.

Tuesday quesday, hope that you will get an invite today, scalper scuffle has 2 50s , 5 60s , 8 70s , 7 80s mixed ti and 12gb , 3 90s and all more expensive than eBay.

Oh, that's a slow queue.  My linear estimates tell me that at the current pace, you will get it Apr/30/2225 23:59:00.  And that's not a typo for 2025, I mean 2225.  Also, it hasn't reported drops in around 12 weeks.

So you are telling me the $699 pricing of the 3080 FE was not an over-estimation of the pandemic and consumers' willingness to drop money on a non-essential item during shutdowns/layoffs/bailouts, and NVIDIA was fully aware that, although this price-point pigeonholed them on all the lesser skus and consumers were willing to give them $200-300 more for their product easily, they still decided to chum the water with cards that PLENTY of people were able to buy in order to set themselves up down the road for these ridiculously priced skus?  And to boot, forced AIB partners into relatively "reasonable" pricing for the first 6+ months of the release.  "we will get them later" mentality?
 
What was the end game there?  Because even with a price of $799-$999 for the 3080 FE, it still would have had the exact same effect with the exact same demand and shortages and scalping and mining.  I don't work in marketing, so I really don't know how they price things, but common sense would tell me that a business wants to price things as high possible to still be able sell all of whatever they make.  Unless of course, they are willing to sell you something at a loss/breakeven, in order to make it back from you elsewhere (aka Sony PSs have been sold at or near a loss for generations I think, because Sony wants to get you with software and other related merch).
 
That being said, this is a varied group here, and perhaps I am generalizing too much.  So, for my understanding, what is a possible reason/motivation they would price the 3080 FE at $699?  Knowing that right now, and in October 2020, they could have sold as many of these as they could make at 799, 899, even 999?

If I signed up for "auto-notify" does that mean I am in Queue 3.0 for the 3050 XC Black? I assume I am, but wanted to double check with the community.
 
Does a time stamp of 00:00:00 on release indicate that queue has not moved yet?
 
Anyone know the times the queue opened for notifies (trying to gauge my position, even though I know it'll be a long wait lol)?

Yes, Queue 3.0 applies to all SKUs released in 2022.  So far, that means all 3050 SKUs and all 3080 12gb SKUs

Yes.  To add to that, 3797 reached the end of the queue, and has a timestamp of 9/27/2021 0:00:01.  Queue 2.0 closed sign-ups on September 27, 2021.

It was easier with Queue 1.0 and 2.0, which are simple linear virtual queues.  The only priority calculations are between SKUs, not inside SKUs.  Or whatever processors Nvidia feels like supplying.
 
With Queue 3.0, it's harder.  Not a simple queue, but a priority queue.  It works in mysterious ways, but it is safe to assume that higher EVGA scores will get served first.  Thankfully, some people with EVGA score 0 got their 3050 notifications already.

Can’t buy a 30 series, that is true. But all EVGA products count regardless of whether you bought directly from EVGA. So an EVGA PSU from Best Buy by way of example. But, I see your point.

There have been people who got a 3050 with EVGA score 0, which thankfully gives us a way out of the catch-22.  But I think the dilemma still applies to the 3080 12gb.
