Hi all, been on vacation from the forum for awhile. Did I miss anything? 🤣
Got my personal build done, I’ll put it on modrigs once I can take some glamour shots.
Ordered the Hybrid kit for the 3090 and use enewt’s code. (Or did I? 🤔) Thanks for your patience and hard work

Antykain  September 17th was the 'release' day, and when I first signed up on the queue system that EVGA offered for is. Almost 8 months ago exactly.. minus 2 days. Still wish I never missed my first notification email from EVGA for the 3080 FTW3 Ultra. I'm making sure not to miss the next one.. Â
Did evga increase the 5 hours window to 8 for EU ?
Yes, shortly after EVGA introduced the queue system, they increased the window of time you had to claim you card from the notification email to 8 hours. Initially it was 5 hours.. I was at work when I received my email notification and missed the window my 30 mins.. If EVGA was using the 8 hour window at that time, I would have a 3080 FTW3 right now. Yeah.. I was a little upset at the time tbh.     Â
Flint 1760   Hopefully one of your other selections will happen for you soon. I only signed up for the 3090 HC and even at 57 seconds, it will take a long while.
I still have a bit of a wait, but my day will come.. again. Good luck to you as well, sir! Â
If you had contacted CS they would have helped you get it even after the 5 hour window I am pretty sure, I know since I have been following this forum, everyone has been reissued their email so long as they responded to the email, and called CS

And now for my NaCL statement of the (month? as it seems how often I post); Though I WANT to see it anyway, if I start seeing big movement on queues now that grandpa date has been reached, my tinfoil hat paranoia alarm will be justified. Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean the world isn't out to get me. (Edit - Oh.. and thanks enewt .. even if I get choked up over the two cards in my queue not moving past 9/18, your comments in your doc always help lighten the spirit - I really appreciate all the work you do here to help keep us all treading water)

3080s - no way I thought we would be in September still by now, I figured we would be on the second slow down by now which should be about 10/5

static.quai Thanks Newt. I appreciate the kind words. I thought I'd share one last thing before I shut this down til Monday. One thing I talked about yesterday with the super helpful VA therapist is it's hard to change. It's hard to be kind to yourself and give yourself a break, because there's so many years of not being that way. I remember the first time she told me to tell myself out loud to give yourself a break. I couldn't do it. That's messed up that someone cannot do that. So focused on perfection. Being really good at something is a huge positive, but not if you beat yourself up for not being excellent every moment. No one is. We forget it quick if our lives have told us to be a different way. She recommended, because she's incredibly helpful, that I set an alert every morning on my phone or whatever to tell me it's ok to not be perfect and remember to give me a break. A couple of years ago I would have scoffed at this kind of thinking. I was a little less aware then and that kind of thinking was counter to how I came up. This kind of nudge to be more positive helps me. I think many people in this queue are dealing with many of the same issues in different flavors and it's easy to get frustrated. Set yourself an alert. It's ok to get angry about something, but just remind yourself that you don't have to let it dictate your day. Control what you can control. Remind yourself to at least be kind to you and those closest to you. The other things will work out. And I will do a little shimmy when one of the 3090s I want comes through. Don't worry, you will not have to watch.
Great thoughts. Concur completely.

What resources? GPUs? Nope, there is an extremely limited supply of chips that NVIDIA can obtain and distribute to AIBs. All fab plants are at max production not only for GPUs, but also for all other chips and ICCs required in the world and everything is backlogged. Greed? You can't sell what you don't have.

Auto manufacturing for one, major appliances for two, avionics for three, defense systems for four, etc, basically anything that takes an ICC. If you want to learn more, just google "What is affected by the global chip shortage" or something similar.

No you really can't. Intel processors are about the only thing not in short supply and that's because Intel has their own manufacturing setup. Everyone else is affected, even motherboards to some extent. But processor and motherboard demand isn't anywhere near that of GPUs. Tell you what, go to a car dealership and ask them to find you a new mid-level trim vehicle with all the advanced safety and entertainment groups. See how that goes for you.

AlFotev: Go to the General Discussion thread and participate in the three, four, five word, counting, most random thread, and all the others like these that are there. Do this several times a day and you will rack up your 100 posts in a few days. You have time as the 3080Ti is rumored to be announced by NVIDIA on 31 May. The release date won't happen until a few days later and EVGA will announce the date and time that the auto notify will go live on social media and you will definitely know it from the forums. In the meantime, any card that you are interested in that still has an auto notify, sign up for them. As more orders get filled more people will drop out of other queues for which they signed up. I am not being patronizing when I say "it is a GPU, not your entire life." Things will get better as time goes by, but it may take a couple of years before we are back to normal. I wish you luck in your quest.

In short probably yes. It might depend on what sku(s) you're queued for.

Uh, no. I'm also 3+ months back order for a non-human dishwasher control board that is supposedly now under warranty but I'm sure I'll have to fight for when it's available and not. It sucks - first world problem and all. Until two months ago I'd not had to hand wash in 20 years. As Flint1760 stated a few posts ago, "major appliances for two".

Is the notification-queue system also available on the European website? I can see the "auto notify" buttons on the EU site but I'm not sure if just those mean the same thing. Also, when the new cards are released how will it work exactly? Will you be able to put them in your cart or will it still be the "auto notify" system? I can't find anything with the search button (or on the updated first post) and the thread has 1230 pages, I'm sorry if this has already been answered :c

So by that I suppose you mean the same system available for US/CA is also active in the EU region. Anyway, I checked the summary and it sure doesn't look promising, heh... Thanks for the answer!

We all attend therapy as a global group. :D Honestly though, right now, I'd rather have my dishwasher part replaced versus a new GPU. I'm lucky enough to have all PCs working, even if my non-gaming system is only sporting a GTX 960.
