Wow, this was either a small drop, or there were a lot of time stamps crammed into a 30 second interval. The 3898 queue had been averaging closer to 45 seconds at a time until this happened. Glad you made it, it's just too bad you had to wait until the straggler drop.

I'm still a little over 2 minutes out which is about 3-4 months in real time based on how this queue has been moving.

When I signed up the site was once again like always during bum rushes, crashing.

I started before release time 9:00am and wasn't able to get through til 9:06:31. My buddy next to me took 5 more minutes to get through.

3080ti buyers should take this as a warning for what they're in for but multiplied by 100.

It will still be bad but not as bad since it will be elite only (even though it's not hard to get). Instead of every single discord/alert thread out there telling ppl to sign up at that time

Elite is not a gate. Well maybe pre shortage it was decent. the time people have been sinking into securing a gpu is insane these days. Myself included. The elite qualifier is a minor speedbump. The influx of new users is really high. People have been playing "elite speedrun any %" it's gonna be a rough 3080ti notification sign up lol. Before EVGA removed certain elements of the web page users were able to determine that 400k people signing up per month for notifies. that's all skus combined.

The 3080ti notifies are gonna be like cramming Niagara falls through a coffee straw. Godspeed!

It truly will prevent people. I know the Hydrocopper Kingpin was not super advertised and I know that not a lot of people wanted them but it was by far the easiest card I was able to sign up for.

Not to split hairs, but many others (including this idiot) had exact opposite experience signing up.

And release date and time of KPE HC was on Jacob_F’s Twitter. How more can it be advertised?

Well that is a one off card. The 3080ti is getting released by every single manufacture. How many ppl do you think follow Jacob vs just hardware status in general. I'm not trying to split hairs but I've been apart of the every single release through the queue since it started. This is the first GPU release where the site hasn't just straight died. It didn't load the submit button because they were gone. that is an entirely different issue.

That should get you banned. Replacing one code with another in the hyperlink. What the h3ll is wrong with you?

Use who you want guys, if you want use a specific person's code find a post they did and usually their code is in their signature.  
 
I can post my code in my signature, but I since I believe those who do the work to help me should get credit for the help which is why I don't.  

Take a look at those who help and make your own decisions, but take the time to find their code directly from them and apply it.

As I said: there many guys who will be happy if their code will be used. This is my position. I never game my code or link in my recommendations before - I keep my associated code only in my signature(as almost everyone who have code).

Sometimes I wish there were no associate codes. These forums would look very different.

I like the codes overall as it provides the person who uses the code a "discount" but also provides some reward to the one who's code was used.  It's just there are those who are going to hustle or game the system for their own good.  I like that when I buy stuff that I can use a code to help me with the cost, but also give something a little back to those who have helped me.  The program is good, but you will always find those who will try and game the system for their own good or beliefs.  
 
The honest truth is no matter who's code you use, the person buying really does help themselves when they apply a associates code.  I would hope that they would remember who has helped them through either tough spots with their pc or helped them keep their sanity in the queue while we are waiting for our spots to come up and use their codes to give a little back to that person.
