The hell is wrong with the drops?? Tuesday we had 2hrs, for the past 2 days - nothing! At least before the queue was moving(even if it was a few minutes, it was still moving). I’m just about ready to give up on a 3897 and just campout microcenter. If the 3080ti comes out before I get a GPU, I’ll sign up within the first few MINUTES to ensure I’ll get a GPU.
I don't think Microcenter lets people camp anymore. Maybe some do, but some have stopped because people were loitering overnight and failed to disperse when asked. Now they are randomly stocking items during the day which means you have to lurk in the store and hope that you beat the other lurkers when a box is set out. Sounds like fun, right?
Also, based on past experience, signing up for an auto-notify at the exact same time that thousands of other people doesn't necessarily mean that you will get a good time stamp. Maybe you will, but it's more likely that the server will bog down and make you wait. When the 3898 launched, a lot of folks who "got in right away" didn't end up getting a time stamp for several minutes. So, if you think you're frustrated now, just wait until the 3080TI launches. I recommend staying far away from this thread for a day or three once that happens. If you think people are being whiny little bytches now, just wait.
Oh god it's gonna be bad. All the people acting like pc enthusiasts but somehow still posting things that show they have no idea whats going on despite every tech outlet having already reported on the stock shortage a to z. The entitlement diapers are filling again.

Yes I know about the various shortages: the water shortage in Taiwan and the silicon shortage in general. It’s just that after waiting 6-7 months for something that I need for my pc, I’m getting terribly impatient. Impatience does not equal ignorance.

I don't think you were ever in question it's more people like me who joined 11/13/2020 with 13 posts. Personally, I didn't really care about elite I've just been patiently waiting for my 3090 HC and hopefully, there will be a drop next week. I also realized today that all the EVGA power supplies I've bought since 2015 qualify I always thought you needed two products within 12 months but apparently, that's not the case so I know what I'm going to be doing when I get home.

I posted a superhero text roleplay game thread over on general for those of us who want to have a decent story while we contribute meaningfully to the forums. It's got a small bit of creative effort to it, but it'll help blow off some steam for people who're interested in it. I can't decide yet which is worse:
The endless months and months in the queue
The you were not selected newegg shuffle messages every day
the 100s of EVGA graphics cards on Ebay every day
Seriously I think a much higher percentage of product needs to be coming to the queue instead of going to the retailers just to end up getting scalped!

Let that sink in. The total queues for all skus combined is increasing by about 400k per month since at least the launch of the 3060.
I expect that will go up with the 3080ti coming.

Yes; people are very quick to complain and cry scalpers, or miners, or EVGA is not shipping cards to loyal customers. The reality is - demand is higher than ever for these products in history, and multiple factors, including a global pandemic, mean that supply just cannot meet demand for now. I'm not going to say that scalping and mining aren't a general problem, but they aren't the problem that they are made out to be. And cards are indeed being shipped out, but remember that the vast majority of people have no interest in being involved in these forums and discussions, and simply want to get their GPU and go back to work/play. On that note, I feel like this thread has started to become completely derailed in the last few days. It would be really great if we could tone down the complaint and spam posts, and allow the queue reports and other important information to not become buried (granted this is largely an issue with the antiquated format of EVGA's forums, but that's what we have to work with here). To all the newcomers to the forum: Welcome! Happy to have you here. Let's enjoy our time here together while we wait for the queue to run through. We've all been waiting a long time and will be waiting longer yet. My advice is to join any and every queue that you can. And, if you are so inclined, please let us know which queue you have joined and when, either by messaging enewt for his summary sheet or entering your details in one of our spreadsheet forms (preferably both; links in my signature).
