I think if you are from Europe, it's worth trying to buy 3000 series card from USA and then try to ship it to your country in EU. At least its going to be cheaper, because when you have price of 1600€ (~1950$) for 3080 in stores, and 2200€ (~2650$) for 3080 from scalpels it's just madness.
P.s. The main problem is, stores like best buy don't seem to ship their stuff around the world, and I cant seem to find any other way of shipping it. (Maybe make some friends in us and ask them to ship it to you)

I 422nd the opinion that posting should not be a path to an elite status. I get that this might be unfair to people who bought an evga product once 10 years ago, so maybe they could grandfather that and then halt it. Probably a little on the late side now, but there's nothing elite about robotically posting with only one goal in the forums. I think about the same on watching evga videos, but I guess they want viewers. That I kind of get, it may well bring in additional sales from personal use buyers. Regardless, I feel it's possible to still get in close to the beginning of the evga queue due to a semblance of a purchase limit, which is more than I can say for trying to buy a gpu or cpu on amazon. It almost feels like they let people order and ship straight to the Amazon fulfillment center for third party sellers to turn around and sell to those willing to shell out around double the asking price.

I would go for allowing up to 10 posts per week count against the 100 post requirement. That would spread the spam out a little bit, discourage spam in the first instance and yet still provide forum participation as a path to Elite status.

I tried that but most don't do International shipping and you have another 21% to pay on top to the gov if it did get sent. I don't mind the wait as I'd rather get it from EVGA even with 21% Tax its still miles cheaper. wanderer1273 I think if you are from Europe, it's worth trying to buy 3000 series card from USA and then try to ship it to your country in EU. gary1221 EVGA has been my go to for gpu's and psu's going on 6 years now. They are diffently the best money can buy .But my loyalty is being tested from the total lack of getting a gpu after 7 months plus.Their loyalty seems to extend only to their partners and miners.Gamers on the list are getting very very very few gpu's.
No other brand is doing this that I know of. The loyalty in question should be to nVidia for making the mining cards and not so great limiters.
While they have done more than other AIBs, its hard to blame people for being upset when EVGA does things that makes it harder for their loyal "fans" to get products.
Examples: Giving cards to LTT instead of the queue. Advertising elite membership early access. Not offering Bstock on a notify basis.
Don't get me wrong, the notify queue is great however seeing new customers/bots swoop in and grab cards while more loyal "fans" have to wait is not good for their brand retention. I think EVGA relies on that brand retention so it can be damaging to prioritize seeking new customers at the cost of existing ones.
What does loyal fan of evga do when their last purchase was from 2010 ? Using this as an example because some of you spewing that forum account creation date correlates to level of evga devotion. If you really wanted the card. U would have sign up early. If you didn’t know about it. U had many chances after the changes made about evga invites. 3080 hybrids have been launched after nov. two months after ampere launch. Then there’s the folks who sign up for xc3 weeks after sept n complain they been waiting half a year with no movement. U can’t be serious and cry about it when u picked the cheapest no margin model for evga to make. Shortage going on along with materials in short. Like water being short supply in Taiwan doesn’t help either. If you don’t like how evga is handling it. Go buy zotac. They have drops everyday. Have fun with errors every time you click something
You have SKU sweeping skills, but apparently zero compassion. As long as you got yours, just keep harping on other people without...
compassion? plz.. all i hear is sense of entitlement and whining.. u want card? sign up n wait. nobody but urself to blame for not waking up early to sign up.. poo hoooooo. u needed ur sleep on launch day

Or in addition to the 100+, have a rolling per week avg. Like at least 10+ per week for the last 3 months (rolling months). Only real participants in the forums will have that. In addition, there should be a warm up period, like no new accounts with 100+ post should be allowed in the Elite for a warm up of 1 month. So, no last minute scalpers....

Yeah no joke. I get an email notification for a thread I’m following, by the time I come to check it, it’s 3 pages deep into the forum. 😳 It wasn’t funny to begin with, but it has taken a life of its own the last two days. 🤯

Agreed, as it stands now it's basically a race to the bottom with zero benefit and nothing but mods being stuck trying to keep funneling ever growing numbers of spam farmers into threads which only exist for the purpose of mindlessly pushing a button until they hit the post count and become "elite".

All good ideas. And I can empathize with aliop1. I've definitely posted a lot since Jan 12, but I had elite status before that for registering my 10 series gpu. If I hadn't wanted a kingpin, I probably wouldn't have done so because it's not like I anticipate having heavy use of my associate's code. I guess to that end, it probably saves evga a bit of money if they have more people who can't use them. I don't mean that to be negative, but if I was a finance person working for evga, it would have crossed my mind.

I generally try and be nice and level headed but I'm going to just throw this out there... I've registered a total of 4 EVGA purchases (all GPUs) which date all the way back to early 2015. I joined these forums mid-2018. If someone who has never made an EVGA purchase and/or never registered an EVGA purchase can create an account today on these forums, pound out 100 spam posts on the "say any 5 words" thread and then get "elite" and have the exact same opportunity as me to queue for 3080 Ti then that's really really really upsetting.

static.quai I 422nd the opinion that posting should not be a path to an elite status.
What makes you say people who are now posting are scalpers? I warrant that most are in fact genuine loyal customers who've never bothered posting as there was no prior incentive to do so.

Loyal customers can register their products they bought by being loyal customers. That problem is solved.
