mhamilto Purchased a 3080 FTW3 Ultra directly from EVGA through the auto-notify signup. Received the notice, paid online to EVGA, then Customs brokerage, and received my new card within 3 days from California to Ontario, Canada. Installed it easily, added a 3rd 8 pin cable, and hooked up my 4 monitors. I use my system for flight simulation (MSFS 2020 and X-Plane). This new card replaces 2 6-year-old GTX970's. I run the program on a 72" Samsung TV in 4K, with the other 3 monitors in HD for auxiliary programs (map, chatter, GPS). The resolution is superb, the framerate is excellent at 30FPS compared to under 10FPS before. Most settings are Ultra or High. No stutters at all. A great purchase. A great purchase!
That sounds incredible. I would love to see this setup and also wondering what you're using for a flight stick.

My RMA arrived and installed! My 3080 could run at stock at full power with no issues (pulling 720Watts of the wall on max, thats way too close to the 750 Limit!). Next undervolted a little and found a perfect spot at 850Mv @ 1914Mhz.

viper809 I know I'm off topic here. but this is the only forum I have ever been in in evga. when was the last time power supply's were available on evga site? I've been looking into buying one but they never seem to be in stock.
I think it's a supplier issue that is the reason why a lot of the PSUs have been out of stock for quite a while. I haven't seen most of the higher wattage/rating PSUs in stock at all any time I've checked since the 30-series was released.
Yeah was just wondering. since I have a little evga bucks and wanted to put it towards a power supply. I currently have a 750w but since I'm getting a 3080 I'm guessing anything over 850w should be fine. and I'm going to use this 750w I have for the next build.

Bet that's some serious power savings... I forgot what I ran mine at for a low point, but I think it was around 1980 @ 875mV give or take... it's been long enough now since I had my 3080 that the numbers are fading in my mind. Does anyone have any concrete reports that those "20-30% price hikes in a month or two" are actually coming? Are we sure this isn't a news-squib by anti-scalpers to try & get them to pile up more cards before stock stabilizes so they're stuck with more cards (not that I would mind such a thing cuz those people suck donkey toes)?

That is quite the set-up. I love hearing queue success stories like this. I am glad it is working out. I just picked up a Logitech X56 for MSFS 2020 as I found it in stock...which is a rarity these days. Looking forward to playing it when I get my 30 series. Your post just gets me excited all over again.... soulpatch321 I know this is likely beating a dead gpu, but I've been in queue for months now waiting patiently. We don't have ETAs per se, but we are tracking the queues (see the summary table -- link is in my signature block). Hopefully it will give you a sense as to how far away the applicable queue(s) is/are from your auto-notify timestamps.

After being up 32+ hours, I'm gonna go crash out in hopes that this will be worth it as it's going to translate in to me being up most of Monday so if the Kingpin drops Monday I'm up for it. Kingpin + Samsung G9 49" setup is going to be so awesome... I just need to find a desk mount that can actually support that behemoth of a monitor so I can have it at a good viewing distance, and height, without that ridiculously-long-legged stand ruining the placement of my mouse mat etc. The G9 is another thing that's only in stock for like 30 mins to 1hr at a time. Hopefully I get lucky & catch it at one of the times it's up for sale direct from Amazon & it's only $1199 instead of $1399 or $1299... but, I want it enough I'm willing to pay the higher price if I have to. But the Kingpin supersedes it in priority, so I cannot allocate funds towards getting said monitor until the Kingpin is in my possession, cuz thems the rules. lol Have a pleasant & safe Sunday everyone!

I don’t mind waiting in the queue. At least they have a queue. The issue that drives me insane is seeing mining rigs with 70, rtx 3090s in it! Us poor villagers can’t even get our hands on one by being honest. I wish the bitcoin mining would just drop out all of a sudden at the same time stock in stores are flooded with product so they cant make their money back! I know thats mean but.... so is buying 70 cards to mine with. Ill get off my soapbox now and go back in my queue :)

The 3080 XC3 Ultra went up to $839 on Best Buys site. The 3070 XC3 Ultra to $599. Looks like if you didn't buy last week your paying more starting today. EVGA and BB prices have always been the same. Seems like it's only matter of time before prices update here.

That’s... typically how flight simulators end up working out performance-wise. Besides, if $700 is enough to elicit that comment you probably don’t want to look at the prices for the peripherals mhamilto likely has just for their sims, let alone things like addon planes, scenery packs, etc. Speaking of which, mhamilto what’s the rest of your sim setup :p

I'm new and not sure where to ask this, but in the queue it says "one per household". I've seen the questions and replies but I'm not sure if anyone has the dilemma that I have. My son and I play games together and both of us are needing new graphics cards. (we have separate computers in the house). And, of course, they are hard to come by. My card is going out and I definitely need a new one. My son, on the other hand, wants one for 1. his schooling (college student) and 2. for gaming. He has an old graphics card. The issue is that he lives at home. I was wondering would it be a problem if we both ordered a card, meaning that it's the same "household". We have separate accounts and he pays for all his stuff. So different payment accounts. We both signed up in the queue for the same card and wondering that when our names do come up, will it be an issue since they are going to the same address?

"One per household" means one card per physical address. I wish they would just say that and make it more clear. If you got a time stamp recently one of you should sign up for a different card. If you do some research and figure out how to get a notification, you could also get one from Best Buy or Newegg, probably a lot faster than you will get one from the queue.

Yeah, I guess if you factor in the rest of the setup it's not that much percentage wise. However, I don't think most people that play flight sims are the ultra ultra hardcore people who build custom setups especially since I would consider the new ms flight sim to be pretty mainstream.

Managed to find the KP list, pretty cool.. wonder how accurate it is since it requires participation from the community. Looks like there’s a list of about 100 still waiting. On one hand seems like a long list to get through, on the other hand, 100 cards aren’t that many when you look at the scale of of mass production.
Need to get through this 100 post thing and get my name on that list.

Okay, so according to that, I should be getting a notification fairly soon then. Since I hit the list (9/18) for a 3080 XC3 Black. I've completely built a new system, and am just waiting on the upgrade from a 1070 to the 3080.

jurban84 Is the EU queue working? Anybody tracking it? I haven't checked on this thread since October.
Yes BovineGamer is tracking it. He posts an update every few weekdays or so. He also has a separate thread in the forums that is specific to the EU queue. Good luck!
Able to link that eu queue thread? Cannot find it :/
Thank you Sir. Many blessings.
Are you feeling lucky?
