Just doing my part! I was also under the impression the discount would be 5%, but it turned out to be less when I was going thru checkout. It's good to have any discount at all, but I do wish this change wasn't a stealth roll-out. Thanks for keeping track of all the notifies here!

I'm all for eVGA doing what ever they need to do that will deter them from selling cards to miners and getting ALL SKUs to gamers, raise the prices, remove discount codes. Do whatever needs to be done to make it happen, we are aware and understand, just get it done please.

Ha, I feel like the consumer is getting robbed at every turn; you've got scalpers, tariff bumps, discount reductions, and no availability. Sure is an imbalance on the supply/demand right now. I feel bad for anyone building a whole system right now.

This is what I am hoping. If we get a reduced discount AND tariff hikes, that won't be great. Still, I am confident enough in EVGA that they wouldn't do it unless they have to. If it's what they have to do to stay solvent during these difficult days, I am good with it.

Correct. We've just been discussing this. It was a bit of a surprise, to be honest. @EVGA_JacobF just tweeted today that the change was made at the beginning of the year...but apparently nobody noticed it until today (iLike2Teabag get's the hat tip for the sharp eyes). Perhaps EVGA never anticipated selling so many units through its online storefront but was forced to do that due to the debacle of a NVIDIA launch and the creation of the queue. I don't know. And I am not finding it fun to speculate; I liked the nice round number of 5%.

Right ultimately it its 2% ~$15 bucks for us but it adds up for them.

Hi , So i got a 70 , 10/29/2020 6:10:44 AM PT, I gave that to a friend since i didn't want the 70 wanted a 80.
So my question is does it matter if you already got a notification or will they skip you?
Also The 3080 10g-p5-3897-kr for 10/13/2020 10:10:28 AM PT i'm guessing i'm still a few months away, same for the 10g-p5-3895-kr ?
They will not skip you. You will get the invite. Per EVGA policy (there is some controversy about whether this should be the "right" policy), you can buy one unit of each sku per address/account. So, again, you will not be skipped. Best of luck!
Please refer to the queue summary that I posted earlier this morning (and a version of it is available via a link in my signature block below). But, yes, likely more than a month or two away if you are after 10/6 for the 3897 or 3895 (much longer). Good luck!
I think this is good that you can get multiple skus per house hold. Imagine a house with more then one person with a gaming computer everyone wife, kids, dad or even a house with 3 roommates they should all be able to purchase a card. Being able to be in line for each card is a simple way for EVGA to allow that to happen without having to inspect every purchase to ensure that it is going to a different person.

I am hoping next week too I am 12/10/20 9:09:11 only 15 seconds to go but who knows those 15 seconds could be thousands of cards or hundreds. The last time it moved it only moved like 4 seconds or maybe it was only 2.
