He's also more of a video game guy than a PC parts guy. Fair warning, he posts A LOT so you might be better off finding more specific GPU-centered twitter accounts.

Ive tried on 3-4 diff BB drops and always the same outcome.... nothing. I follow Stockdrops, ATR Stonk and PCpartsBuilder on Discord so I know when the drops are. I just havent been successful yet. I have Apple Pay setup on my BB app so less clicking when checking out. My friend on the other hand, one morning in October, woke up at 7:30am and checked his BB app and low and behold a Asus TUF OC card was available, he swiftly added it and was able to pick it up at the Bellevue BB.

Rocket League.. interesting. I haven't played online multiplayer in any committed fashion since (I think) the original Modern Warfare (CoD4) on PC, before it was a hackfest. Also in my 40s, I primarily play offline single player games when time allows (which isn't nearly as much as when I was younger) as I'm wary of the seeming toxicity of today's online landscape. Perhaps it's just my inner curmudgeon preventing me from finding some enjoyment in something like Rocket League. I think I'll try it and just see what happens.
With so many queues, products, upcoming SKUs, expiring tariff exemptions - I'm beginning to get some analysis paralysis when deciding what to get and when it is actually available. I've cancelled multiple orders for 3090s because it's simply too much money for me to be happy with spending versus the return, and now the Ti/Supers are rumored to be coming ON TOP of increasing MSRP, so that's a new slap in the face during the hunt. Anyway, I might just find a lower-tier 3080 like an XC3 and just be happy with it unless my number comes up.

It's a twitter account I follow that helped me and a few friends get in on BB drops before any other alerts had gone out (discord, twitter, etc. I was following all of them). @Wario64 (sorry computer corrected spelling earlier to Warrior - strange). Just another option to watch for alerts to try and get in early. Sounds like he knows some people and passes on fyi's to his page as well as affiliate links for other games and stuff. But his account usually got the updates for cards for BB first.

Yep, I know it's from the tariffs, but everyone who's queued up to buy now was ready to purchase 4 months ago - hence my comment the manufacturers not being able to fulfill demand. I also think given the relative inelasticity of these products, the demand won't drop very much. We'll see what happens if/when Ti and Super versions are announced, possibly next week.

Fair warning, the RL community in general is good but there are still A LOT of toxic people, especially if you miss a shot or save...but screw em, just enjoy the game :) I'm in my mid 30s and thoroughly enjoy the game. Hell with being locked inside, I started playing WoW and raiding again haha

I think that the "no pick up available within 250 miles" really means "sold out". It could say "you're too slow, someone else got it"
When I chatted with BB they said they allocated cards to the stores. If you got that means you never had a chance.

My watch is officially over. The 3090 XC3 Ultra I ordered from BB.ca last week has arrived in it's full red lips glory and is currently in the safety of my system. Everything so far seems working, I've just gotta run a benchmark for a bit to make sure. After that I'll get to work undervolting this monster later on.
Removed my notifies of course, hopefully that'll help some of you waiting on the queue get a card sooner.

Smh I canceled those ones. Earlier this month. I like my 2070 super xc so I wanted an xc but those ones aren't being produced as fast I have 3883 and 3881 still ongoing. But I feel real stupid for canceling now. I wanna be able to run my games at 4k. I hope I get to soon
