I'm still in the EVGA queue, hoping to snag either a 3070 or 3080 black, (to give as gift for one of my kiddo's).  But, alas, I know it's a wait....  hoping Jan 4th see's a nice big drop.

Logic says don't hold your breath. I'm expecting a meager drop.

Don't be like that...hope springs eternal!

Sorry bro. Nothing Nvidia has done convinces me that they have any desire to get cards into their consumer's hands as quickly as possible. This will be dragged out for as long as possible.

You don’t need ddu. I went from a 1080 to a 3070 using the same nvidia driver. Both gpus were supported.

Nobody says YOU HAVE ( as in forcing you).
Everyone says YOU SHOULD (as in recommendation).
As there are plenty of documented issues when the driver package bugs out and causes old configuration to be passed over to the new gpu. Thus causing crashes, instability and even damage the cards.
Hence why to avoid complications, they tell you to remove old driver first.. then remove all traces, then reinstall.

just clicked the notify button...I'm also new to all of this (first PC build) how long before you typically get an email about it being "your turn"?

somewhere between now and the heat death of the universe - realistically, a few months.

I'd say 4 to 6 months. I signed up for the 3080 FTW3 Ultra on 9/22 and I haven't received a glimpse of a card yet.

9/17 here so good luck

I got on the queue 9/20/20 for a 3080 xc gaming still nothing. I froze in front of my local micro center for a hour with a bunch of other people to find out they only received 4 30 series cards. Is there ANY information on how the queue works? I feel like I've been overlooked.

so each card basically has it's own line. Some cards are being made in greater quantities than others. Also, keep in mind EVGA is using the same supply to do RMAs, Step Up, and they still have obligations to supply retail stores. We probably get what's left over from that. Some queues are very very very slow however.

Thanks I refuse to pay scalper prices. My 2070 super was supposed to be a placeholder unit the 30 series arrived. But it seems like I'll be holding on to it for the foreseeable future

yeah I stayed away from the 2000 series because their wasn't a real big jump from the 1080ti but right now I wish I did. At least I'd be able to enjoy some ray tracing. Seems like everyone just coming out of the woodwork to get the 3000 series lol

I'd be curious to know what percentage of incoming cards go to the EVGA queues, vs other retailers.  0.1%, 1%, 10%, 25%, or?

Another percentage that would be interesting to know would be the split between FE and AIBs, and within the AIB's what the split there is.

Does Nvidia distribute evenly between EVGA, MSI, Asus, Gigabyte, etc?

Yeah man I'm with you, I unfortunately only signed up for the 3080 XC3 gaming card too before launch day at noon and I still have not received a notice in over 3 months. At this rate with you being 3 days after me you probably would get your card this time next year ha!

From the looks of things, XC3 production has been slowed way down. I've been getting notified multiple times a day about FTW3 stock it seems, while even the XC3 queues have started lagging their FTW3 counterparts.

Can't really say I blame EVGA considering the margins must be much higher, but I can't fit a FTW3, so that sucks. Looks like I won't be able to get a card until after I need it. :(

Question - I recently got my 10G-P5-3755-KR (3070) and I loving it but I am still waiting on 3080 Black Gaming "Auto Notify" to come to me, I'm only 23hrs away. Meantime, if I start the "Step-Up" program on the 3070 for 3080 FTW3 Ultra Gaming (10G-P5-3897-KR), assuming the Step-up it will take sometime for my turn to come up, if I get the "auto notify" for the 3080 Black Gaming can I cancel the Step-up?

Ok so I guess I completely neglected to report this yesterday, but it looks like my watch is over.
It cost me an arm and a leg, but I managed to snag a 3090 XC3 Ultra from Best Buy Canada yesterday! Supposed to arrive on the 7th, but it's coming by Canada Post so who knows.
I'll remove my notifies when it arrives.

Happy new year and good luck to everyone still waiting! Hopefully you'll all catch a break soon.

I agree they need to do what's best for eVGA, I get it. But I start to wonder if they're looking at the lack of movement on this SKU 09/16 - 12/30 and nothing. Do you think their brow goes up when they see that? If they're over it that's fine, things happen but I think they should let us know.

Ask Dabadger84. He has one.

And I'd probably do because 1) more stable and less spikes in temps and boosts 2) Heat can be pushed outside of case via the radiator.

I'd pick the Hybrid if I wasn't planning on custom watercooling. Otherwise, I'd get the regular XC3 Ultra.

I would like to get sign up for the 3090 kingpin 24G-P5-3998-KR queue but it is for elite members only. Is this product time exclusive for elite members first and then for everyone else. I signed up for different card but I would rather wait for the kingpin. Please let me know so I can cancel the queue so someone else can get the card they want, I dont mind waiting for the Kingpin to be available for non elite members.

In all seriousness, a couple of months ago my 1080 Ti SC2 GAMING had a fan die and EVGA really stepped up for me with a replacement.  They cross-shipped me a 2080 Super (a better-performing card) in its place.  It was my first RMA experience for a GPU, and the kind of seamless customer service I received is the main reason I'm only looking to EVGA for a 3080 and probably future GPUs.  Hope the queue gets moving despite the new SKUs and everyone gets their notifications more quickly in the new year.

If you're not planning to do your own custom loop, I recommend the hybrid all the way! I had a 1080ti for a long time, and it was an amazing, quiet, and solid-performing monster of a card. It looked great in my case! I set up push-pull high static pressure fans on the radiator. Man, that card was a beast! I hope they release a 3080ti hybrid within the step-up window of whenever it is that I FINALLY (possibly?) snag a card from the queue.

I find the length of this wait absolutely ridiculous, especially considering that EVGA cares more about other retail channels than fulfilling the queues of their most faithful supporters. Not sure why, as direct sales not only cut out the middle-man allowing the whole profit to go to EVGA, but it also takes care of many of the people that have been on here buying EVGA products for over a DECADE (see my sig. It's OLD. They don't seem to have kept all my old posts from before, and I took quite a hiatus from the forums, but I have been here for YEARS.) I legitimately bought an EVGA power supply, just to MATCH my EVGA hybrid 1080ti. They look GREAT together in my PC case. But instead of taking care of their biggest fans, their taking care of the big box stores. I mean I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing, as I love my big box stores, and I love the jobs they create. I'm grateful for them! I'd probably be less salty if it wasn't a 12 hour drive to the nearest Microcenter, as they seem to be getting the most steady stream of 3080's, and they don't do online sales AT ALL in order to just avoid the whole bot mess. (good for them, by the way!)

So even being salty and disgruntled, I figure we've been hanging out together here, waiting THIS long, so why not stick with the queue and eventually get the cards, right?? Anyways, thanks for letting me vent! Thanks for venting yourselves. We are almost to the New Year!! I am pretty close to my spot in the queue for a 3060ti. Unfortunately, that's for the kids, not me, lol! Don't even ask how many kids I have ....

This is part of why I recommend to people when they get their newer eVGA GPUs, if they plan on keeping them for at least 2 years, to get Advanced RMA through eVGA.  It's like $40, but they will send you a new card as soon as you submit the RMA & It's approved, with a label to send the broken one back, meaning your down time will be minimal.  IMO it's worth the 1 time cost.  It also transfers to the new card you get from the RMA process, as far as I know.
Extended Warranty is an eeeeeh for me, because I've never kept a GPU for more than the normal warranty length (3 years), but the Advanced RMA is worth the price, just in case.

In other news, it's Thursday.  You know what that means.

4 days until the Queue-Party resumes, may the Kingpins & 3090s & 3080s & 3070s, and sure, even the 3060s, rain down upon the queue in glorious splendor.

Back to Night City (No spoilers ahead)... and no, I'm still not even done with my first playthrough.  I'm being thorough like I was with Witcher 3 last time I played it. lol  78.7 hours played, I'm at the point where if I wanted to I could "start" the end-game quest line, but I'm finishing up side bits first... Note that 78 hours includes restarting the game after 5-6 hours because I ran in to a situation I couldn't get out of & wanted to restart anyway... so about 72 hours of actual gameplay to get to near the end, that's pretty good imo.

Can tell ya the 3090 handles that game with absolutely everything maxed include RT stuff, with no issues.  There are a few areas with heavy foliage in parks that get me down in to the 30s FPS wise, but other than that, its 45-60+ (I capped it at 60 to give the GPU a break when I'm not in heavy load areas).  The game is visually stunning & the stories have been pretty entertaining so far.

I fell in love with hybrids with the 980ti hybrid. I then scored a 1080ti hybrid the night before the 2xxx series. I pretty much stole it at $490 with 800 days of warranty left. It's been an amazing card. I went on the que for a 3080 hybrid on 12/20 so luckily for me I'm so far removed from getting one that I'll be forced to get in the 3080ti hybrid line.

Looks like it all worked out....
