oh joy.. paid express shipping from newegg via UPS (what a POS company.. I have better service with DHL by miles..) And they keep delaying the package, still stuck (not aduana or import, that already was processed in a day). Its stuck in a city nearby with no progress for 9 days now. Called and now they tell me they will "check" and will probably deliver by the 4th. So yeah.. happy ****ing 2021. *EDIT* The excuse of UPS? They claim that my zone is "REMOTE". lol.. I am in one of the most important touristic towns of my country. I'm no "remote" for crap. Hate when they have to pick up a random excuse.

Hi ericc191. I responded to your PM. For those that are on mobile devices and don't see signature blocks (where I keep a persistent link to the queue summary), here is the latest summary from last week. EVGA's drops (and the updates) will resume on Monday. Happy New Year!

javelina1 I'm still in the EVGA queue, hoping to snag either a 3070 or 3080 black, (to give as gift for one of my kiddo's). But, alas, I know it's a wait.... hoping Jan 4th see's a nice big drop.
Logic says don't hold your breath. I'm expecting a meager drop.
Don't be like that...hope springs eternal!
Sorry bro. Nothing Nvidia has done convinces me that they have any desire to get cards into their consumer's hands as quickly as possible. This will be dragged out for as long as possible.
Logic says that container ships with cards are arriving in Long Beach while EVGA is closed for the holidays. There will be drops the week of 1/4. Maybe not on 1/4 since they will be unpacking and counting, but I expect it to be an active week, not just with card drops but with the imminent 3080Ti and hydro copper launch as well. I'm waiting for the Ti at this point and will likely cancel my auto-notify for the FTW Hybrid. Also, Nvidia recently signed a large contract with Samsung to produce a LOT more 3000 series chips, so it's not like they are sitting back with their foot on the brake laughing while fools pay hundreds above cost for a scalped card. They are getting to consumers as quickly as possible. There just happen to be a LOT of consumers, especially right now with so many people stuck at home. We are also competing with industry for these cards, not to mention miners for something that can only be obtained from one source. COVID has wreaked a lot of havoc in supply and distribution chains as well, a fact that seems to be lost on a lot of people. The bright side is that tons of cards are going out and supply will catch up with demand in a few months. The queues that are moving are making progress even though it might not seem like it. They tend to be heavily skewed towards the beginning, so if you look between the lines in the google sheets that have been created there will likely be dozens or even hundreds of time stamps staring back at you that were not self-reported. Once the really big queues like the 3897 get beyond 48 hours from launch they will start moving a lot faster.

I remember the 2000 series was always out of stock too. It took me almost a year just to get a 2080 Ti at MSRP.

Awesome. If I'm reading that correctly the 3080hybrid I wanted is now on 12/16. I qued up on 12/20. That's a good sign. I think. Normally I would go with the 3080ti but there just isn't enough room between the 3080 and 3090 to concern myself with it.

So my 24G-P5-3988-KR died on me last night... Computer completely shut down and wouldn't boot with it in there. Put my GTX1070 FTW back in and booted just fine, no problems to be seen. I have an EVGA 1000W G3 powering it all so shouldn't be a power issue at all, thermals all looked good while I was playing a game. RMA is in the works and should be sending out a new one next week. Bought 12/18/20, Installed 12/27/20, Died 12/3/20...now I'm nervous about the next one.

This is why I hit mine with a purification by fire test. It was on 24/7 for over a week straight, gamed on it while I was awake, ran Folding at Home units for the TZC while I was asleep. Better to have it croak early & get a replacement unit requested quickly than have it die later from you not using it enough to find out you have a bad one, eh? Hope your next card is a good one!

Got a question for all of you. I am about to build my first gaming PC ever. I have everything but the GPU and the monitor. I put in for the EVGA RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra back on 10/29/2020@4:36PM and I currently have zero clue as to when I will receive my email from EVGA. I have been watching over the spreadsheet for my card ay google docs. but now there has been a huge "SKIPPED" that goes all the way to December 15th!! I now have no way of tracking when I will get a notification. Really sucks for all of us. Here is my question: Should I go ahead and build what I have and use the onboard Intel 630 graphics to get the computer up and running, or should I just wait for the card? I have a 40" Samsung Smart TV to use for now. Also, will anything bad happen to the parts if they sit around for the next few months, i.e. unreturnable to vendor, or warranty issues because they were not used immediately?

Also, will anything bad happen to the parts if they sit around for the next few months, i.e. unreturnable to vendor, or warranty issues because they were not used immediately?
If you just want to use it then there's nothing wrong with using the IGPU. But you won't be able to game very well with it. Also you can just check your EVGA My Notifies page.

tomcatguy74 Got a question for all of you.
In the same position on one of my builds. Everything but the GPU will show up over the next few days. I'll be building it, installing all my software etc and setting all the back ups and accounts up on it while waiting on the GPU to come in stock. There's no real reason to wait and if you do find something needs returned/exchanged or you just don't care for it; you'll have time before the GPU arrives. Only possible reason to wait would be if you have a tiny case that you'd need to pull things out of to install the GPU later. Good luck with your first rig. It can become a lifelong obsessional hobby.
