It all seemed to fishy. Those aren't what consumer GPU's look like in shipping boxes, 500,000 could never fit on a container, and no way would Nvidia/Samaung ever say, yeah we've been missing those for a while, glad you found them. They would never admit to losing that much, nor would they just write that off.

tomcatguy74 Got a question for all of you. I am about to build my first gaming PC ever. I have everything but the GPU and the monitor. I put in for the EVGA RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra back on 10/29/2020@4:36PM and I currently have zero clue as to when I will receive my email from EVGA. I have been watching over the spreadsheet for my card ay google docs. but now there has been a huge "SKIPPED" that goes all the way to December 15th!! I now have no way of tracking when I will get a notification. Really sucks for all of us. Here is my question: Should I go ahead and build what I have and use the onboard Intel 630 graphics to get the computer up and running, or should I just wait for the card? I have a 40" Samsung Smart TV to use for now. Also, will anything bad happen to the parts if they sit around for the next few months, i.e. unreturnable to vendor, or warranty issues because they were not used immediately?
I see no problem with that! Another solution is to grab a low-mid gaming card. I snagged a 4GB AMD 5500XT for $143 and an 8GB for $163 on Prime day, and I also had an old 1060 6GB lying around collecting dust. Like an financially wise person, I decided to sell my beautiful EVGA 1080ti hybrid and use that money to buy the new 3000 series. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect it to be THIS IMPOSSIBLE to get one. I wish I would have known, but I know we ALL do. Luckily, I was able to game somewhat with one of my little midrange cards I had lying around. And none of those cards were a waste! I was able to use the 1060 6GB for one of my son's computers, and it was a major upgrade for him. He is able to game at 1080p just fine! Used one of the 5500xt cards for my brother's AMD build, and it will serve him well, so if that's an option for you, you could always snag a low to midrange card as cheaply as possible now, and just repurpose it when your 3000 series turn is finally up in the queue.

Well, I have decided that I am going to go ahead and build it. However the only “extra” card I have laying around is an old EGVA GTX 550ti. I would think the 630 graphics on the i7-10700K in my new build would be more powerful then the 550ti. I guess we will find out.🙃😉

So the EVGA offices open back up on 1/4, but on their product page, it states that orders placed after 12/23 won't ship until 1/5. So will we see notifications on 1/4 but no shipments until 1/5, or won't we see anything until 1/5?

Happy New Year! We officially got to the new low. Best graphics card in stock on Newegg (and sold by Newegg) is Radeon RX580. Release date April 2017.

It prob means that it will take them a day to get all the orders ready and ship. If they have stock and are able to send out emails, I don't see why that wouldn't happen on the 4th.

If the last 3080 Black notification was for 9/17 and my notification was input on 9/22, does that mean I'm pretty close to getting the email to purchase or still possibly a month out-ish? Thanks for any insight. I'm trying so hard not to give in and purchase a *way above MSRP* 3080.

Unfortunately...There is no way to give you a correct estimate. As sometimes most of the folks who joined the queue are concentrated on specified time points. Example, the 3080 ULTRAS, FTW3 and HYBRIDS seem to have thousands of people between 15 minutes after the queue started to line, up to 30 minutes later. So even if it looks like its a little time left.. there might be a few hundreds before you. In the other hand. Many people have given up or received a card elsewhere and freed up their queue space. Advancing faster.

The last email notification was for 9/16. You won’t see a card until summer at the current rate. These cards are moving at +15 minutes a month.

The pic was already debunked and is definitely fake.. Just google "Spanish Aprils Fools Day Nvidia 3000 series", or anything else related and you'll find the complete story. Spanish April Fools Days falls on December 28th, which coincidentally just happens to fall in line with when that story dropped of the "lost" 500,000 NVIDIA 30-Series GPUs pic. Good times..

I got lucky and I scored a 3080 ftw3 ultra on newegg Monday, got the card on Thursday and I have to say the FTW3 Ultra card is really well made. I guess I will cancel my 3080 xc black queue to let others have it.

Thanks, I been pissed off about this whole situation and I pre-ordered from compsource with the rtx3080 tuf on 9/18 and signed up notification for the 3080 xc black 9/16 7:11pm from EVGA. I waited and waited 0 cards available. I begin to start hunting down rtx3080 cards at beginning of December from newegg and I tried for numerous weeks along with the help of my friend and then finally got super lucky 12/28 4:30pm and I started to non stop f5 the ftw3 ultra on newegg and finally got it. They like to sell combo and doesn't allow you to return the unwanted RAM or power supply so I had no choice but to just try for the 3080 ftw3 ultra stand alone card daily. It did took me 3 weeks of doing that every single day to get it. Some times they release it at 4PM PST, sometimes 4:30PM and sometimes 5PM. They used to post the initial news on their twitter but later on stopped doing it when quantity is low. As for compsource the marketing manager was nice and really helpful, however they said the ETA for the 3080 tuf is still unknown still 2021. I asked them would it be in January since I ordered on 9/18 4PM and still couldn't get a solid ETA answer. I was really counting on getting the Asus 3080 TUF to match the x570 Asus Tuf board I got for the ryzen 5900x if I couldn't score this 3080 FTW3 ultra. The 3080 xc black is still like 4 hours away and I see the queue move roughly 5-10 minutes per week and that will take a very long time. I guess I got really lucky and scored the 3080 FTW3 before 2020 ends and I have to say it's a really solid card to purchase. Stays really quiet under heavy load at 73c. With a bit under volt to 1980mhz at 0.912v, I'm maxed at 70c at default fan curve. Card runs solid even on a mild o/c 5900x and a 650w power supply. The only complains I have with this card is no thermal pads connecting the back of the PCB to the back plate for additional cooling. Good luck to everyone who did not received your card yet from queue and I wish you all can get it soon!

I doubt the drops are going to be heavy enough that I'll see anything before April at the most optimistic, which is unfortunate. Personally, would love to see EVGA just drop retailers altogether and just sell directly to consumers. Imagine how much faster these queues would be. Depressing to see Amazon have stock for BACKLOGGED orders that sell out in less than two seconds. I have no idea how I'm going to manage to get any of these cards at all.

Temperature is now at 70c max with lower consumption between 330-360w. I had to turn off the led too to save power and make sure my b die ram doesn't go over 45c during summer time and that's when I get mass blue screen. What you can also do is call micro center ahead of time and see if they have 3080 come in, then try maybe ask for a half day off to drive there and grab it. If you can afford a bit more money, then I highly suggest you get a ftw3 ultra over the xc ultra. Worth the $40 extra. It runs so quiet compared to the old rtx 2080 super evga I sold.

Congratulations on the card, I am a bit worried about having it since I have seen many people in the forums complain about the card suddenly dying with red power LED indicators

I think I should be fine because I am undervolting the card. If I have a bigger power supply than the 650w, then I will try and flash the 450w bios to get more performance out if it.

tmpman123 I got lucky and I scored a 3080 ftw3 ultra on newegg Monday, got the card on Thursday and I have to say the FTW3 Ultra card is really well made. I guess I will cancel my 3080 xc black queue to let others have it.
Lucky you. I had scored also a 3080 FTW ULTRA from newegg around 3 weeks ago. UPS lost my package and Newegg started an investigation.. UPS refused to accept my complains and their responsibility. Hopefully newegg forced to make them the move. :/ Its been stuck in a nearby town for more than a week and half now. Hulky87

Thats my fear as well. I wonder if plugging the card 1A 2A 1B would work ( I have separated PCIE braided cables that has 2 connectors each one. A and B, 1A , 2A, 1B on slot 1, 2 and 3 respectively. ) So the 2 first power slots from the video card wont be sharing the same cable.

Guys... the failure rate reported on these forums is but a subset of the actual user base. Keep that in mind. I never had any issues with my 3080 FTW3 Ultra & it was from the first batch after the queue system was first initiated. Had it for 2 months, gamed on it a LOT under HEAVY load. Not a single problem. I still think a fair bit of the failures reported are due to systems causing the card to go bad more than the card being bad from the start. Especially those that have had more than one fail, that just makes no sense, the odds of getting two bad cards in a row when they're probably only failing in the low single digits percentage wise is astronomical, unless the system is the root issue and not the card. Think about it. If there were a serious, wide spread issue, eVGA would recall the cards from said batches, or offer anyone who got a card from said batches RMA as soon as they confirm the serial number belongs to a bad batch, to avoid facing lawsuits in the future. It's really that simple. Gotta remember companies like eVGA are out to make money & make customers for life, and they're out to please their investors etc, they cannot afford to cover something like that up only to have it come out later & go kaboom in their face, so to speak. Monday will be a decent drop, but I fully expect the entire week to be packed, because as I said before this long period of holiday started, the sheer volume they'll likely be dealing with between all the different SKUs they have piled up most likely, they will not be able to ship them all in one day without overloading their UPS outlets, so it will probably be a spread out release over the coming week. Hopefully we get gigantic drops.

Could it have to do with how people are connecting their power supplies to them? Also I hope the drops are enough I won't be stuck waiting until April before getting a notification...

Is there any problem with people reporting when they signed up and when their place in queue came up to help others get a rough estimate about how far out their place in queue might be? Having a ball park estimation as to how long it might be for me would be really helpful and could change my plan of action. I am building my first PC and all I need now is a GPU. Also if people have reported when they signed up and when their place in line came up where could I find that information? It would be nice if their was a thread set up for just that.

This seems to be the best resource for now, showing where each of the queues are.
