I'd say that too normally, but the volume at which we're seeing reports of cards dying on the forums here is pretty alarming, since most/all of them seem to be from last week's batch.
There were only a few prior to that, this last week has had quite a bit of an uptick in reports of cards dying within hours or days of initial use.
I still haven't had any issues with mine, but mine was from the first or second batch of Notify Me cards to go out for the FTW3 Ultra.  Had it since the 2nd week of October, zero problems thus far.

I've seen the other threads on the RMA topic -- and don't want to necessarily recreate those conversations here -- but it seems like a smaller subset of the total cards that have been distributed...not just through the queue but also through other retailers and etailers.  I am comforted that you have not had issues with your card, and by the existence of EVGA's superlative warranty/RMA process.

I just got my notification for the 3080 FTW Ultra, but already have a 3080 XC3 Ultra - got it a couple of weeks ago.  The FTW3 is really the card I wanted though, but didn't think they'd get through the queue this quickly.

Not really, no.  We used to recommend adding your date/time stamps to the spreadsheet.  However, the spreadsheet has been attacked multiple times, locked down, un-locked down, and is -- it feels like to me -- holding on by a thread.  I would recommend that you compare on your own your date/time stamps against the spreadsheet (the read-only link is available at the bottom of my signature block) and that should give you a rough estimate of where we are vis-à-vis your times. 
 
Based on your time stamps, only the FTW3 Ultra and XC3 Ultra queues have materially moved and, unfortunately, they are still on 9/17 and 9/16, respectively.  I am afraid that based on the cadence of past drops, you still have an extended wait on the queues ahead of you (likely into 2021).  I would use the queue as a back-up and continue to hunt via F5 or otherwise through the other channels as well.  I wish I had better news.

Got my notification. Just placed my order. Getting my RTX 3080 FTW3 ULTRA GAMING on Friday. I should have checked this thread first. I missed out on using enewt's associate code. I was just in such a rush to get the order placed! Thanks EVGA for putting this process in place!

It wasn't half as bad of a rip as people make it out to be.  They say at the end of the video none of this really matters for normal OC, only sub zero.  It's mostly whether they could have provided better components for the price.
 
Considering the amount of work EVGA is doing to get cards to us, having them push the more expensive 3080 to both make more money and to get as many cards out as possible is STILL a win/win for everyone.
 
I'm not going to begrudge EVGA the extra few dollars per card when we ALL have to go through this insanity to try to get a card.  It's reasonable given the situation.
 
If there was full availability of every brand in stock everywhere we could nitpick the price points and card layouts all day long but that's a pretty pointless argument to have right now.
 
EDIT - and I LOVE Gamer's Nexus.  They're my #1 stop for hardware info.

I'm the only one that reported here but others have thanked Jacob for that model on twitter. But yes... small test batch to begin with. More this week.

Well, I'm now #29 on the queue so I'm guessing it won't be more than a few weeks.
