I find it hard to believe that people think theres going to be AMD cards in abundance.
They will obviously have shortages. But it's a 100% known fact that TSMC yields are 2-3X higher than Samsung. They will have, and/or be able to put out over the coming months, more cards than Nvidia. Period.
I think you are right on this. TSMC is way ahead of Samsung, nand size & yields wise.

Thanks, just lucky to hit add to cart at the right moment. Probably the 10th time I have tried at BB only to have the pop up say 'we are adding more stock soon, please wait a few minutes.' I did pass on an entry level Gigabyte card about a month ago, have had issues with them in the past. It was EVGa, Asus or FE for me, glad I waited. Now to turn off all these damn stock alerts!

That was actually cool! This was the first time I've been able to literally see any 30xx cards available online, albeit for only a couple of minutes.

Actually, their site is excellent as it is helping to prevent scalpers. Just have to click 'add to cart' when they actually have stock released. They stagger it out, like they release X amount then wait a few minutes, then release X amount again, wait a few minutes, etc etc etc. In the mean time you have to wait for the 'add to cart' to come back. Took 3 tries for me today. I even had to do a verification email before check out, which should stop scalpers.

I've been watching FTW3's go for $1,100 to $1,200 for the last 7-10 days or so.
As the holidays continue to approach I would suspect that is a correct assumption.

lol you think you'll be able to find it? amd has to provide for pc, xbox, and ps5 they will probably sell out quicker than nvidia

Sign up for the botrtx discord channel, you'll get plenty of alerts for stock. NewEgg, Amazon, etc will be sold out before you can buy because of bots, but BB website is preventing bots from ordering all stock instantly.

TSMC 7nm is a matured process with very good yields. But AMD's share of 7nm is spread across CPU, GPU, Xbox and PS5. The shortage is evident from the new CPUs. Same will be for GPU. Will be happy to be proven wrong though

Thank you very much for posting that. The RNG gods were kind and I was able to snag an EVGA 3080 XC3 Ultra after 2 attempts at a FTW Ultra and a PNY fell through. I'll be removing my notifies to help shorten the queue. This is going to be a huge step up from my Radeon R9 270x. Good Luck everyone!

Yes, same here. I was waiting for either the FTW or the Ultra...I got really worried when it asked me to verify my login haha. But I was able to apply my certificates and check out! I'll remove my notifies once I get it.

Congratulations to everyone who managed to get one on Best Buy. It looks like the actually implemented some kind of anti-bot measures.
Unfortunately, I was not one of the lucky ones. Got it in my cart, went to checkout, then had nothing but problems with shipping. *sigh* So close, and yet, so far.
