Hi everyone, this is my first post. Whoever created the spreadsheet, thanks a lot! This helps out a ton! I used the auto notify feature for the 3090 FTW3 Ultra Gaming:
24G-P5-3987-KR 10/15/2020 8:22:35 PM PT

I'm looking at the spreadsheet, but it looks like I haven't gotten the notification yet and others who used the notification feature purchased the card at a later date. Am I looking at this wrong?

Your auto-notify date is for 10/15 at 8:22 pm.  For that card, as of right now, the queue is approximately at 8:18 pm on 10/05.  You've got about 10 days as 4 minutes to wait.  Given that there are fewer registrants on that card and that the queue has mostly made it through both "congestion" time windows (the card's launch and the announcement of the queue), I would anticipate that it should move pretty quickly towards your date (if fortune is on your side, you might just receive an "invite to purchase" email by US Thanksgiving).

Good luck!

I think everyone is forgetting the simple fact that HW News stated on several information/youtube channels that supply isn't expected to "step up" to what would be "normal" rates until well in 2021 for these GPUs, and by then, we'll probably be hearing about the Super/Ti variants coming.  Matter o' fact, I'd count on it.  And from the sound of it, it sounds like 16GB 3070s and 20GB 3080s will be held out for the Super/Ti variants to give them further distinction from the current releases.
I'm betting we can probably count on the 3070/3080 in their current forms going to the way of the dodo as soon as the 3080 Ti/Super and 3070 Ti/Super are released, because NVidia won't want to split GPU dies between the two strains of cards.  I wouldn't expect those to be released until at earliest July & at leasted, October of next year.
Until then, the market's gonna be sucking fumes in terms of GPU supply, until Scalpers get tired of these GPUs and move on to other things.
The profit margins are still quite big, 3080s are reselling for $1100-$1250 on the regular still, which is at least $200-$350/card after EBay fees.  So I wouldn't expect scalping to "go away" until at least after the holidays.

Awesome! So it looks like I might be getting an invitation a little sooner than I thought. Thanks for the deep analysis, enewt!

Glad to see everyone's comments.. where's enewt's daily summary now lol

As of 20:10:00 today, this is where I believe we are.  Please note that the 3070 FTW3 Ultra and the 3070 XC3 Black both had a drop today but because we do not have an uncorrupted spreadsheet we do not list an “AN Registrants Served”.

** Note: On 11/9, @EVGA_JacobF in a tweet stated in response to a question about availability of the 3070 XC3 Ultra, “I don’t have an ETA on this model yet.”

As the days on the queues have turned into weeks and even more than a month (and EVGA has started to ship some cards with the black accent), it is easy to get more frustrated and despondent. I am feeling the length of our wait weighing on me too. But I continue to believe that we will get our desired card through the queue as so many of our other community members have already done through this process. Your positive participation in this thread lifts my spirits and I thank you all for that.

In two tweets today, @EVGA_JacobF suggested that EVGA is expecting to drop both 3080 XC3 Ultras and XC3 Blacks for the queue this week.  Well, let’s hope they show up tomorrow, along with some other cards because…say it with me…It will be Tuesday…and everybody gets a card on Tuesday!  [Apologies to the movie “Dave”.]

Have a good night. Let's get after it again tomorrow!

Looking slower than usual. Any day now. Or month. Or year maybe.. ( ‾ ʖ̫ ‾)

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2020/11/09 23:58:55 (permalink)
Heads up that it takes a container ship about 24-28 days to get to Long Beach from Taiwan. Who knows what "Launch Day" really means in terms of production capacity and stock already on hand. It takes time to ramp up production, pack shipping containers with cards and put them on a ship that has to traverse the Pacific Ocean at 35 mph. November sounds about right, but probably the latter part of November for a drop from a container ship. This issue is this.... will a drop from a container ship move the queue more than a couple of hours? There is no supply issue according to Nvidia. The issue is demand outstripping supply, and it's expected to last until 2021.

So, it's not like the cards are not flowing. There is no bottleneck. There are just too many people who want them and scalpers are getting their hands on large numbers of them. EVGA could do something about it by allotting more cards to the queue and fewer cards to vendors, especially those like New Egg that not only hold the door open for scalpers to run in and buy up everything, but also enable them by allowing them to post the items through their storefront. It's a classic conflict of interest that shouldn't be allowed, but money....

Anyway, back to EVGA allotting more cards to the queue. What's the problem? I hope the company is aware that retailers are hurting their brand. Not putting a "one card per person" rule in place on launch day was a dumb move. Not putting that rule in place after the fact reeks of corruption. They know that bots are hitting their storefront and they don't care.

I suppose it takes 24-28 years to get to europe then? not a single EU customer has gotten a 3000 series directly from evga

I can't tell if people removed their entries or someone screwed with the 3080 FTW3 Ultra queue.

We was on 320 and now we on 343...

ShadyMilkman posted and said he had gotten his notification and that's where we was in the list...

There's two 333
Two 341
Two 343
Two 346

And apparently there's close 200 new entries because I just got pushed down the list again 🙃.

So is this right or was it tampered with?

The spreadsheet has long outlived it's minor usefulness, and the "position number" was NEVER useful. Stop worrying about it. You know what day/time they're up to.. just wait.

I am optimistic for today being the day we get some 3080 XCS Gaming Black emails. With that said does EVGA sell backplates after the fact for me to install myself? If so, are they expensive?

I'm sorry if this has been asked countless times already, but I tried to look through the pages and there's too much discussion and nothing about Europe.
Do we have any knowledge regarding where Europe stands? Maybe a spreadsheet? Maybe we know if it's close to the US queue?

I've been registered for the RTX 3080 FTW3 ULTRA since 9/24/2020 7:29:51 AM PT, if anyone has an estimation, I'd be glad to hear it.
Though I might go for a XT6900 for this generation, I don't like the 10GB... waiting for the reviews or EVGA's notification to buy the 3080 at MSRP, whichever comes first!

Someone seriously said there's no supply issue according to NVidia LUL show me a reliable source please.  Very sure NVidia has said there IS a supply issue and that it will last well in to 2021 (like at least March) and that it is partly because of the Rona.

All these people having issues with their newer 3080s that shipped in the last few weeks has me rethinking being so quick to resell mine before getting a Hybrid card when they release.  Think I may hang on to it until such time as I have the 3080 Hybrid card in hand & can test it for at least 2 weeks... better safe than sorry.  I've had zero issues with my 3080 FTW3 Ultra I currently have & I'd hate to unload it for a card that ends up dying within hours of arriving.

And this is starting to get into the "How much is my time worth?" territory.  If you're wanting a card, and wanting one in a reasonable timeframe, a 40% markup to not have to bother with the f5 game, or take the time to line up at MicroCenter for the off chance you might get lucky and get one that might not even be the model you want, is not all together unreasonable.

Possibly not accurate.  Mark set it up with a separate "web form" for people to add information, I just added my four entries. But, there's nothing stopping people from just entering whatever they want, unfortunately.  The only way he could have prevented this was to close editing completely, and do it himself...and that is just too much to ask one person to take on.  That would be a part time job, with no pay, lol.  :P

It would be nice if EVGA would just ASSIGN us all que numbers, and current position so we can get an ACCURATE guess as to when we will get our cards, BUT, they did set up the que system to help us all and prevent bots (on their own store at least) so....glass half full?

I'm right there with you, the 6800 or 6900XT is looking mighty tempting, especially since I actually for my Ryzen 5600x already.  I was too slow for a 5900x, but eventually I will get one.  This "base model" CPU is pretty damn impressive for $300.
But, I'm not cancelling my notifications just yet!  :P

Well, not exactly I guess, you have an RTX already, but I am concerned about all the issues I read about.  I think Nvidia RUSHED the whole launch to beat AMD, and it just might backfire on them in the long run.  We will see when official 3rd party reviews of the AMD GPUs come out....8 more days!

Good morning! It's a beautiful crisp morning here in NYC with light winds and currently 63°F with a high of 68°F, and looking to be nothing but sun all day. I absolutely love this sort of weather. Hope you all get some GPU goodness emails today, or at least edge closer to your time.

Cheers!

I don't agree, I'm never buying a 40%+  marked up product from the scalpers.  I'd rather just wait until I can get one at a normal MSRP, even if it takes 6 months.  I won't die without an RTX or new AMD card, the world will still spin, and I won't be supportig a bunch of low lifes that don't have or want a real job.....lol.  Sorry, I guess I have a strong anti-scalper mentality, I surprised myself for a second.

"How much is my time worth" bother me last six weeks.
Since I am working from home, roughly calculated my unproductive "hunt for card" hours are worth 5(at least)  3080 Ultra cards.
In addition (looking for a card) pimped my rig with Lian Li 011 Dynamic XL case and 7 Uni fans ($550)
Thinned my patience to micron size. Cracking...
But so far put my principals over money.

I feel your pain, but don't give in!  Every scalped GPU that get's bought kills a dozen kittens.....or something....

I've already decided I'm going to pony up the $1,200 for a 3080 FTW3 if I don't have a card by December. Not playing CP20777 on a 2070 Super.

Many, I suspect most, people who were planning to buy on day one, were prepared to spend $1200+ for a card, given the 20XX series pricing, so the scalped prices are falling in line with what a lot of people were planning to spend MSRP anyway.

Seems to me the MSRP was set too low by Nvidia in the first place. Almost zero cards met MSRP, and it's obviously still so tight that EVGA refuses to make Gaming model 3080's as of now over a measly $20 difference. I don't blame the board partners. They have to make money. It's Nvidia's fault....but what's new. This whole insanely terrible launch has been because of their stupid choices and decisions from before the cards were ever even announced.

Yeah I'm one of the lucky ones, I signed up on launch day for the 3080 & got it early last month via the Notify Me system.

I'm definitely thinking I should hang on to my current 3080 until I vet the Hybrid assuming I get it in a timely manner.  I definitely want a Hybrid for the simple fact of how different the cooling profile is.  We'll see how it goes.  I'm going to test then 3070 I have incoming and if the performance is "acceptable" I'll have a debate on my hands... the 3070 is intended for a local friend that wants it, and I haven't heard anything yet on people having issues with the 3070... but I also don't want to put the 3070 in, sell the 3080 to get the money for the Hybrid, then have the 3070 brick itself.
I'm just hoping I get my video card situation fully sorted pre-holidays.

They will obviously have shortages. But it's a 100% known fact that TSMC yields are 2-3X higher than Samsung. They will have, and/or be able to put out over the coming months, more cards than Nvidia. Period.

1200? Is that for a scalper's price? You can guarantee they will be jacking their prices up very soon well above 1200.

I've been watching FTW3's go for $1,100 to $1,200 for the last 7-10 days or so.
