You need to update that 3900x to a 5900x to take advantage of some new features on the 6800xt...

How did you guys sign up for the queue on the 3070? The product page doesn't show up for me even when I type in the product number in your signatures.

EVGA was testing the site -- it was only up for a few minutes.  Sounds like two people on the thread were able to click on auto-notify before it was pulled down.

Tossup on if companies figure out that they need to do queue systems like EVGA did, by November 12th
 
Actually retailers need to do item specific queues and do scheduled general stocking times where during a 1 hour period they'll trickle out whatever stock they got over an even division of time, on set days, so you can try your hand during a period of time at a specific time, and if you get one great.  Maybe do half of incoming stock into the general stocking days and half into the queue.
 
You say all EVGA build is that an EVGA case and psu? :P

If Nvidia has any way to increase production, AMD just gave them some incentive. There's enough competition that Nvidia no longer has a captive audience at the high end.
 
In the Nvidia vs AMD competition, I think "in stock" will soon be the most sought-after feature.

The AMD pc is all ASUS ( it would be EVGA if they made the unholy AMD alliance).

Off topic question: planning on gifting my Ryzen 3600 to my little brother when I can get my hands on a 5950x. Currently he runs two 1080p monitors, both IPS and Freesync. One is an LG 29" 75Hz ultrawide (for single player games and shooters) that he uses for editing and the other monitor is an Asus 24" 144Hz (for competitive online play). He mainly plays triple A games and the occasional e-sports shooters. I know he installs graphic mods on his games and stuff and doesn't want to move up to 1440p or 4K anytime soon.
 
What's a good GPU to get for 1080p that has that kind of legroom for graphic mods and FPS above 100 in most games, ultra everything?

I didn't sign up for the Spreadsheet, but I just received my Notification for Purchase for a 3080 FTW Ultra.  My sign up time for the notification was 8:32 AM PST on 9/17.

Might be able to snag a deal on a 1080, 2070, or 2060 B-Stock or used. 
 
ALso, you might notice you hear "and the same performance on 1080p" in review videos. I gets to a point where anyhting new can max 1080p, and it becomes much more CPU dependent for the ultra high refresh rates, IIRR>
 

 
Yeah he did have an overclocked Zotac 2060 at one point. He didn't like it too much, so he swapped it for something lower and he's trying to choose which RTX 30 series to get. It seems like he wants something that can max out his monitor's refresh rates and still have ultra settings at 1080p.

Unless they upgrade their other components, they're likely bottlenecked. 3070 through 3090 should max 1080p.
