kevinc313 How about ethics and a sense of fair play? This change hoses the people who made notifies on their ONE REAL ACCOUNT and didn't try to cheat the system by registering a bunch of fakes. We are not stupid, we knew that was going on but didn't do it.
Simple, once everyone gets their turn to buy 1 you can have more, until then getting multiple while many are waiting for their first is both unfair and gives opportunity to scalping since it allows you to get extras that you may not need and wish to resell and it allows those bots to sign up instantly to all SKUs at once and actually get one of each. How exactly is it ethical and "fair play" to get multiple cards when people are waiting for their first? Here I am with notifies on my one real account and yet this change benefits me as I was late to the party and wouldn't have gotten a GPU until 2023 with the previous system (remains to be seen when/if I get one anyways, still a long way to go by the looks of it), so maybe it doesn't hose people with real accounts, just people taking multiple slices of the pie before everyone had a piece. Sparkyoo7 exactly, i purchase for my whole family, i guess i should have signed them all up. edit: messed the quote up
Yeah, it sucks that it wasn't like this from the beginning as most people just had no reason to sign up for all those they were ordering for and as such didn't do so, none of us knew really. On the bright side the 30xx-super-s are just around the corner, hopefully they will be decent value and worth signing up for so that you can buy some for your loved ones as well.

I know you are new to this, but I'm out of the notify game. All set, thanks, got a card I'm happy with and it didn't come from EVGA. Though if I need a Super card I guess a friend or relative will have to get it for me as a Christmas present.

No you won’t void the warranty, but if you need warranty work the card needs to be returned to the original version.

The EVGA 3090 FTW HC kit will fit, and will not violate your warranty.

Yeah, I’m like 3 or 4 out from the 3080ti XC3, but boom goes the dynamite. I don’t agree with the implementation or this change, I feel like they should have left the question as is and started V2 rules with the super cards or the like. Or maybe each batch of notifies gets split into half of the original que and half to the non purchaser que.

Kevin115 Purchase made after Oct 4th rather than purchase ever made on 30 series card after lanuch is more reasonable to put you in low priority.
This is the only way to diffuse this mess.

wow what an unexpected move, worse for a lot and doesn't address biggest faults with current system ... at this point i wonder if throwing out the whole thing and starting new with a fair system that prioritized true customers of EVGA products wouldn't be better going forward !! will miss enewt's daily updates and what a pain to actually find the post that created this sheetstorm, yeah it's there when log in but not everyone log's in just to read forums

enewt As I read the announcement, self-reported lists of registrants (like that commercial site that was started awhile back) will still have value for folks who have not yet received a card through the queue system. However, those that have previously received a card through the queue system will now appear to be "skipped" in deference to those with later timestamps for that SKU that have not yet purchased a 30 series through the queue. It is a similar issue for timelines (like the daily summary I post) -- it is TBD whether the value to readers of continuing to publish the daily summary will outweigh the confusion caused by the previous-queue purchasers being passed over for later timestamps.... Please let me know if you think my continued efforts on the summary is causing the community more confusion than utility....
nnnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :'( I was so close to getting my 3080 ti ftw3 ultra hydrocopper too! :'( back in june I just wanted to help a friend out and get into the queue for the 3070 ti ftw3 that he wanted but hadnt had an account with evga at the time. His number got called first. I might have to rip that gpu out of his rig and take it back now if this means I will no longer be able to get my gpu!

They dont currently make the slim backplate, nor the copper block, and just as a heads up the order is a backorder, 4-6 weeks on this most recent batch.

How is this great news? This basically just prioritizes the scalpers with 10 accounts each now. Before you were secure in the knowledge that at least their extra accounts were behind you in the que. Now every one of these extra accounts now get priority.

not only that, but with those gpus the those scalpers get, they will get far more demand for those of us, that got lower tier gpus for friends or family members while we waited for our own enthusiast level gpus, to have to go to scalpers that can get our gpus. Its just going to create more demand for scalpers to find ways around this new ruling from EVGA which apparently isnt hard at all. Maybe I should create a new account and rejoin the 3969 queue. I'll probably get a notify before my current account gets one

The only problem with your idea is that all the SKUs' "auto notifys" are closed and more than likely may never open again.
