alexaqui The change shows that EVGA has no basis of reality to the fact that many people gaming the queue have many many many email addresses. So at this point I'm better of registering my non-registered products by creating a new account, getting elite, signing up for the queue, and I'll be ahead of where I was last week.
The queues are all closed.

Yikes. The summary will become useless unless alot of folks pipe up about having bought a card. I guess alot of studying the reported notifies and comparing them to current notifies can give us an idea. I'm glad some folks out there will get cards that don't have them. I feel really bad for those good Samaritans out there that gave up a 70ti to their son, uncle, friend, or cousin because they weren't too far off that 3080. Feel bad for that guy that bought a 3060 as a placeholder for his 3080. Also am curious how many "new" accounts will get cards. A pretty undesirable human was bragging on reddit about how easy it was to create a new email address and get multiples of each sku. He was a professional and had multiple emails associated with multiple addresses and credit cards. I like the intent of this but i can't help wondering how effective it is going to be.

This was a horrible decision betraying the poll. Why ask us what we want if you are going to do whatever the heck you want anyways? You have lost trust from the majority of the loyal fanbase.

There goes the incentive for most of the elite crowd. I understand the theatrics of the move but its so easily circumvent-able as always its only hurting those that wont make new accounts. Also i guess the poll was just to gauge the outcry of the decision they had already made.
*edit *
Bravo to EVGA for immediately reacting and implementing a compromise that leaves everyone a little grumpy but mostly happy, the hallmark of a great compromise!

B0baganoosh They may as well just reshuffle time stamps for people. i.e. if you've already bought a 30-series, here's your new time stamp. You were October 7th, 2020 on a 3080? well, now you're October 1st, 2021 because someone signed up the day they took the notifies down.
That's not a bad idea. Have EVGA make the switch formally in the "My Notifies" page...something to the effect of "[Month]/[Date][Year]"-ALT" and have that queue be serviced before they turn the "auto-notify buttons" back on. I hope EVGA thinks LONG and HARD about relighting the auto-notify button for any specific SKU before the current queue for that SKU is FULLY satisfied. That is one way to avoid account creation spam. djwarreng maybee a reduced weekly summary would suffice...but, there will be a lot less activity from all the "regulars" I think new users and longtime lurkers who have practically given up on getting a card through the queue could still benefit
I expect the number of reported successful timestamps to drop considerably, so the summary will be less accurate over time...still digesting this news in between work calls. alexaqui The change shows that EVGA has no basis of reality to the fact that many people gaming the queue have many many many email addresses. So at this point I'm better of registering my non-registered products by creating a new account, getting elite, signing up for the queue, and I'll be ahead of where I was last week.
With the auto-notify buttons turned off, there is not currently any incentive to engage in account creation spam.

slippyfox I deeply regret buying the 3070 notify last week thinking I could use it till one of the other queue spots popped up for me. ****. I wonder if I can return it and get back in the “no purchase yet queue”.
This is me with a 3080ti xc3, wanted the ftw3 but my que was still about an hour off. Oh well step-up becomes kinda relevant again I suppose.

drewski989 Yep, instead of being able to help friends and family get cards through my queue spots, we can lose cards to the people out there with multiple accounts looking to scalp them. I know EVGA is trying to do the right thing here, but this somehow seems to be flawed. Oh well, cest la vie, maybe enewt can finally get his well-deserved KP HC... But that will probably go to someone who found out about EVGA in June.
Or your friends and family could join the queue as well. This makes the most sense for the most people. As someone who has been in several 3080 queues since last fall, I can't believe people have been getting multiple cards before I've gotten one. How exactly is EVGA supposed to determine that you didn't just scalp it? I for one think this move is long past overdue.

That's my guess. Probably more people in queue than there ever will be cards. 4k series will be out prior to queue getting fulfilled. This is likely why they did this.

I literally laughed out loud reading this. It seems there is a "B-Queue" and a B-Stock. I suppose the rumored Supers will only be allocated to folks that don't have a 30 series at all. Your comment is apt..."interesting choice"

- Accounts that have already purchased an EVGA 30 series card in the queue system, will be behind those who have not.
Note: B-Stock (RX) or Step-Up 30 Series products will not affect queue positions. We hope that this update will allow more gamers to get their hands on an EVGA GeForce RTX 30 series card. If there are any questions please contact our support at . Thanks EVGA
Thank you EVGA. Hope to get my card this month.

Don't worry man, all the scalpers that have been spamming the board for the last couple months will get them, and you can buy them for $1500 on ebay.

As I said before, there's been plenty of chance to read the writing on the wall. I don't want to get political here, but this is completely typical, we are "fair" to the people who cannot be bothered, and punish the ones that try the hardest. The fatal flaw in this new system is the scalpers and profiteers obviously have multiple accounts, and you aren't hurting them, in fact, EVGA just cut out a large part of their competition... Those of us who learned the system and tried our best to defeat the bots, scalpers, and miners the best we could under the rules we were given. Now that's all changed. To be frank, it was your decision to queue for X number of SKUs last October and not continue to sign up for new SKUs as they appeared. While I do not mind the idea of EVGA helping people in your category out, I do not like the way it doesn't solve the major issues here. It's OK I suppose... Let's throw out years of loyal customers for everybody's Elite and now doesn't even matter the effort you put in on the customer end, unless that effort was to create multiple accounts.

I think the idea to prioritize people who hadn't received a card yet would be great... for the upcoming Super queue. I actually suggested it in the poll thread, that any Elite account that had been in a queue for a year or so and not been able to buy a single card get priority access for the next queues. The same way Elites have had a 24-hour advance window, these people could sign up 24 hours before them. That would help people who've honestly been waiting a while without rewarding too many duplicate accounts. Hopefully. But I don't think opening it up to any account at all, with the current queues, is nearly as helpful. Several people here have mentioned buying for a friend or family member, and I did that too—the first card I got through the queue went to a friend at cost because I knew I didn't want it. Lucky for me, I did get a card I liked better in the interim, so I don't currently have a stake in the matter. I'm guessing there are a lot of people out there with multiple accounts who intended to get around the one purchase per SKU per account/household rule and are now going to reap the benefits. I also hope there's some adjustment of the rules before the Super queues open, because this rule as-is, with no gating for Elite members or those who've already been waiting, would make those queues essentially useless as scalpers with bots turned the attention of their army of Shuffle-ready email addresses to signing up here. On the other hand, if this is actually an interim measure until the Super queues open, as in, there's limited stock of the current series and this will run out the clock until we hit the Supers, it might not be such a bad idea. Different people will receive the last cards than would have otherwise, and some deserving people will be left out, but on balance it might be a little more fair. That probably depends on how much stock of these cards there is left though. If they're being produced for another six months, not great. If it's six weeks, fine, that will probably only cover Elite members in the June queues and those that have been in last year's queues since, well, last year.

How exactly is EVGA supposed to determine that you didn't just scalp it? I for one think this move is long past overdue.
You're right the scalpers with multiple accounts will likely benefit. But how does EVGA (or anyone for that matter) now that what you say "I bought a card for family/friends" you didn't just scalp it on eBay? And not just you, but everyone that says well I bought a 30** for so and so. You're right I could've signed up for more queues as they became available...3080Ti, 3060 ect. I put in for the 3080 queues of the cards I most desired, I don't want a Ti for $1400 or a 3090 for $2,000. I want a 3080 for 800-900. I am not a build a computer every year time of person, just because a new tech comes out. No I'll make it work as long as I can continue to play the games I enjoy playing. And I'll overclock to stretch it if I need to. Again, this will likely help get cards into the most hands of the most people. How would you suggest the queue be handled if you think they could've done it better to help people in my cartegory out?
