I have a feeling the speed will pick up relatively quickly after 9/17 clears for most cards. This is just theory, but I would assume the queue is pretty front-loaded and not an even spread.

Yeah I'd try to remember that these notify times are extremely front loaded. Given the same notification rate once we get passed the 17th it should start to appear moving faster. Tbh I expect to see a noticeable change after the queue gets passed 9am

nickabughannam I am not really referencing the queue system. What I don't understand is why list the cards that will be produced and sold at a lower priority first? In my opinion this is misleading as I assumed that this also meant they will be more inventory and sold more frequently.
I understand the frustration. I have a few launches like this under my belt and, unfortunately, it seems like the highest price skus are the ones that seem to get the priority from the company. See the Tesla Model S as an example or many of the Apple iPhone releases. We consumers, on the bleeding edge, are usually the "golden cohort"...the ones willing to spend more to get the shiny new thing earlier/earliest. As a result, the larger volume goes to the best margin skus.

Congratulations. Your watch is almost over. One last piece of unsolicited advice: make sure you get the confirmatory emails from EVGA once you've completed your purchase and that your credit card company didn't "bounce" the charge as possible fraud. It is rare, but can happen and given the 8 hour window...just double check.

I am seeing rumors that the contemplated 20GB 3080 and the 16GB 3070 have been cancelled by NVIDIA. I don't think I am supposed to link to third party sites, so I will hold off on a link to the article. But if that is, in fact, the case, I fear that the 10GB 3080 scarcity will continue unabated for some time yet. As an aside, the same article covering the rumors says that the 3060 Ti is still on target for the end of 2020.

Hey all, first time post to the evga forums. Looking forward to joining to EVGA 3080 club! So I'm doing a little armchair math based on the spreadsheets. From what I can gather, yesterday was the largest drop of 3080 FTW3 Ultras that went out via the queue system. From the spreadsheet, the list moved 30 spots. As many surmised already, this clearly does not encompass all of the cards that went out, as not everyone has signed up to the list. But if we make an assumption that the ratio of those who signed up to those who did not is relatively stable across the whole queue, a reasonable estimate would be we move about 30 spots on the list per 'big' drop. From a tweet Jacob sent out today, he says drops of ftw3 ultras will be 'similar or more most of the time' as the big drop yesterday. It also sounds like big drops happen once a week, with smaller ones the rest of the week. So if you want a very rough estimate as to when it will be your turn, I would guess 30 spots per week from the highest spot currently verified to have received an email. Right now, I'm seeing position 150 be the latest spot. if you're position 400, for example, it would be (400-150)/30. Or 8 weeks from now. Probably a little less due to the the smaller weekly drops. If this holds up, we won't be through 9/17 until December. Seeing that Cyberpunk is about 3 weeks away. You would need to be in position 240 or lower for the ftw3 ultra to get a card before the release. Please remember this is just for rough timelines. I suspect people will pass on 3080s as newer cards like the 3070 or the radeon 6000s are released, so the movement on the list will hopefully accelerate as we move to December. We could also be getting much higher supply, but there is no proof of that currently, and from what Jacob tweeted, that probably won't be happening soon. I encourage everyone to have patience. I have all of the parts for a computer a right now sitting in boxes and I'm still waiting for a 3080. So I want a card badly as just about anyone else, getting angry won't get cards out faster.

When this happens the eVGA site wouldn't leave the checkout screen, so no worries about it happening without notice.

I appreciate the effort that went into this analysis. I have a slightly different perspective, however. I think there are more likely to be a greater number of non-spreadsheet sign-ups during the "launch window" (which I will define as 9/16-17 and 9/18) when mainstream attention was squarely focused on the 3080 launch than later when it is this community that sustains our focus on EVGA branded cards. As we get past the "launch window", I fully expect the spreadsheet sign-ups to become a greater and greater percentage of the total remaining sign-ups and for the velocity of clearance of the spreadsheet-listed queue to increase dramatically. TLDR; just as it appears that the volume of cards released is increasing, so too does my model predict that the spreadsheet sign-ups will reflect a greater and greater percentage of the "remaining" queue. I strongly doubt people in the first 400 on the spreadsheet for the 3080 FTW3 Ultra will have to wait 8 weeks.

An excellent point. (And frankly, I hope you're right, I'm in the 400 range.) We can easily do a reasonable test of this next week when we see the next big drop next week.

I'm just hoping a "big drop" doesn't mean the largest number of cards one person can carry down the hall to the shipping department every day or two.

yeahhh I'm just being sarcastic. the real bad guy is Nvidia here for doing a Nintendo Switch with the artificial scarcity. I know EVGA is doing all they can and at least they gave us a vine with this process. Nothing but compliments for EVGA.

The FTW3 Ultra 3080s. We are into 8 am on 9/17. About 150 folks into the spreadsheet queue. It feels like the volume is increasing. Yesterday was a sizable drop (maybe biggest to date).

Urobulus I thought no email were sent at all yesterday? "lots" of emails were sent yesterday, just not on every card. 3080 FTW3 Ultras got some. Some of the 3090s as well. I believe there were also some XC3 Ultra emails that went out in the morning yesterday (as well as on Monday).

Why would you think that? There were plenty of posts for all the models, and a noticeable uptick for 3090s in particular.

For sure. To give some back ground, the largest spreadsheet movement date prior to yesterday on the FTW3 Ultra 3080s was 18 spots on 10/14. Yesterday was 30 spots, pretty much double.
