On review of the spreadsheet odds are high I am going to get the notification to purchase the 24G-P5-3987-KR card this week. It is nearly a $1000 higher than the card I really wanted which is the 10G-P5-3897-KR. I am not sure what I am going to do. I will be installing it on an EVGA Classified X99 mobo with an intel 5930k cpu and that seems to be major overkill. It has 32gb DDR4 ram, HX750i power supply and a H80i water cooler. I do not plan on upgrading the mobo and cpu for another couple years or at least until I can get one with a PCIe 4.0 slot.

Anyone else purchase the 3090 FTW3 Ultra for a 5 year old rig? Would this be a total waste of money? Thoughts?

Just play your games in 4K. Problem solved

Well actually I can I forgot to mention I recently bought the Samsung Odyssey G7 32" monitor that will handle it. That is why I am even looking for another video card.

That resolution will put all the pressure on your GPU, so any bottlenecks by your older parts will be minimalized. No sweat!

theres no word. Really, I think the fastest updates we can get is participation in the spreadsheet. its really a great way to check whats happening.

personally, im so excited to be like 30 spots down on the queue! I am sure there are many more people between these 30 spots but its super exciting nonetheless. I was getting ready to buy a 2060 or something just to get rid of this 750 TI.

100% going to happen. They have to in response to 16GB Big Navi.

They won’t have to respond if it isn’t faster than a 3080. They will win based off speed alone.

Back on topic: within 2 hours of me now. Can’t believe we are! out of the 7am hour!

Agreed. On balance, I think we gamers wants speed (frames) and will pay a reasonable premium for them (jumping up to the 3090 prices for ~15% isn't "reasonable" in my book).  I think the threat from AMD's GPUs is overstated.

Nope according to a lot of serious reporting it’s just as fast as the 3080 with more ram and cheaper . Either way Nvidia needs to get more stock out as not to lose sales to AMD . If this artificial stock shortage continues Nvidia will lose on massive sales. Love the 3080 but if you can’t get one cause Nvidia is playing games with stock then AMD it is...anyway back on topic.../end rant

I was looking for the RTX 20 series too and actually got a couple notifications but I did not purchase them because I read an article about the RTX 30 series release. I am also fairly close in the queue for the 3090 FTW3 Ultra but dang that price is high I need a new card though. My 980 GTX SC can't handle my new Samsung Odyssey G7 32" monitor. Can't turn much up in Warzone with only 4gb vram.

XC3 notifications will not be sent for weeks.  You're better off signing up for an FTW 4 weeks later.  No profit to be made on the entry level cards.  Absolutely ridiculous.

You seem confused. They have already sent a batch of XC3 Ultras today, and haven't sent any FTW3 gaming yet. It's the Ultras that are getting produced, doesn't have anything to do with XC3 vs FTW3.

I've got a gigabyte 3090 gaming oc sitting on the shelf.  Was going to give it to my brother (a developer who could use it much more than me).  More card than I'll ever need, but i'm about done with this BS.  I have a great position on an XC3, but they've been putting off the Xc3's week after week, and now they only seem to want to cater to the cards they can profit from.  Absolutely ridiculous.  Bout' to scalp this garbage and make a clean trade for an FE.

Definitely not a busy day for XC3 subscribers.  Not enough profit to be made.  Maybe December.

XC3 "pre-orders" are screwed.  Not enough profit.  Maybe sometime in December, but that seems overly optimistic.  The FTW and 3090 notifications that were made well after ours will have priority.  Such is life.

Let's give it another week minimum before we declare that the XC3 queue is stalled. I've seen more evidence of the XC3 family of cards getting emails this week than any of the prior weeks since the queue process was announced.  If I could sing 5% as well as George Michael, I would break out with "Faith".

You might want to take another closer look at the times on the tabs for each card.  For example the 3080 FTW3 Ultra.  They are completely different names and notify list times. and i dont mean just the seconds.

You've got a good chance since you're so close. I'd guess next drop for you. (I'm about 20 hours out, which may mean next week or next month. Waiting mostly patiently)

Any idea what the latest notification was today for 3080 xc3 Ultra? According to the spreadsheet it was 9/16 11:28 AM PT, but there's limited reporting on this card at the moment. I'm at 9/16 11:59 AM PT so hopefully I get one this week.

I think you are correct.  My recollection of the day the queue system was announced is that there was one spreadsheet that was started.  It eventually became corrupted and may have had some bad actors that changed some days/times.  A second spreadsheet with a different google docs address was circulated.  It had a similar format/structure, but the data was different. It is my understanding -- but I have not confirmed it -- that the second spreadsheet is the one that is most commonly circulated.  Regardless, I continue to maintain that what is important is the date and time of the last email sent by EVGA that is reflected on the spreadsheet.  We cannot know for certain if the spreadsheet represents 5%, 50% or 90% of the sign-ups. And the percentage will likely vary as we get deeper into the sign-up days following 9/17 or 9/24 (as we get farther away from enthusiasts and early adopters and more into the mainstream who are unlikely to participate in the spreadsheet).

Humbly, my advice is to focus on the date and time of the last identified email from EVGA and not the number of sign-ups between your date and time and the last email....  It is a suboptimal approach to guestimating which day you should be hypervigilant about checking your inbox, but I think it is the best available to us.

Yeah i just look between the two to find the last in time entry when I am looking for an update.  Just found it odd that two sheets have been operating in parallel.

One of those lists has XC3 Gaming "estimated date of email" of 2022. (For a sign up date of October 15th 2020)

I signed up for an XC3 at 7:07AM on launch day and I'm estimated to get my email...May of next year?

Yep you're right, that is a second one using Google Forms. I guess it was needed during the early days because over 100 people were trying to edit at once and people were locked out (Google Forms vs Spreadsheet). It was a way to get submissions when you couldn't use the spreadsheet. But that didn't last very long so it wasn't used much, and they sorta failed at transferring everything even though their Reddit post said they would. But if you look at the first tab youll see your concern is a non-issue:

When I originally commented I thought you linked this, which is the ACTUAL read only version of the spreadsheet everyone is using. You can see how the URLs are similiar and why I got confused
