I have nothing to show for my two months of trying the shuffle either, but others have purchased multiple times from the shuffle so it seems like someday I may get a card from it.
At least I’d like to think so.
I wonder if the people who say they have been selected multiple times are using multiple accounts. Newegg doesn't require much info to sign up.
The situation may be similar to the EVGA queue; would it have been better to have registered address so that 1 individual can't open multiple email accounts to get more than 1 of the same SKU?

If you ever get a HC block then decide not to use it, it doubles as a weapon - seriously, it's like holding a brick. System is alive, leak free & happy, from the looks of it... How'd the drops go yesterday? I missed everything, started disassembly at 8AM, picked up the block at 10:30, had to repackage something else that arrived damaged for return for exchange, then after I ate it was almost 1, got back to it, wasn't up and running til after the sun went down... but I achieved the zero-leaks assembly. Tubes could be cleaner/shorter, but at this point I all kinds of don't care. Temps are swa, everything works, nothing leaks, and I'm exhausted. Knowing how I sleep after extremely long, stressful days like this one, I'll see you guys Friday lol Edit: Wonder how many of these B-stock drops are cards that got RMAed then eVGA fixed them, and how many are people that actually stepped up to 3090s/3080s etc. Because both of those would go in to the B-stock piles, I do believe. Enjoy the cards to those who got some!

It is not that a bot equates to having a lot of addresses but that those who use bots tend to have lots of different addresses. Scalpers use multiple addresses to ship to in order to get around shops that check shipping addresses.

I see. It takes anywhere from $20-50 per month to have and maintain “addresses”, so having many addresses to spend money on, it needs to be quite a “sure thing” for scalpers to keep a regular flow of “inventory”.

According to the EVGA subreddits, generally, EVGA has been fairly forgiving if you miss the 8-hour window as long as you email them asap (<24 hours, maybe a bit more). In all the threads I've read, I have yet to see a single one where EVGA has outright refused to send the late buyer another purchase link.

i was just reviewing the NewEgg shuffle thing. why is the 3080 ftw3 ultra selling for $1900 there? i'm guessing it has something to do with the newegg shuffle, but i don't really understand what the deal is with the shuffle... anyone care to explain what this process is and why the price is so high? if it was selling at MSRP, i might be inclined to try and get in on the shuffle, but i'm not paying $1900.

Depends on which SKU you are in line for. A lot of us in here have been waiting for 3080s since September, so if you didn't get in the queue within the first few minutes, it's going to take MONTHS. Since you joined 3080s in December, I wouldn't expect to see it any time soon. I also don't believe there are actual queues for PSUs, it's a true "notify when back in stock" button. Good luck with your wait :/

Lol usually I get it, I'm like "this post is off-topic" or "this post is a one word response with no quote so I have no idea what they're talking about" - fair enough. But there were some posts discussing the queue that still got marked and I have no idea what is going on.
