As reported and then dismissed.
But why tie this into the EVGA Associate Program?
How dose this make since to Fire Employees and Create this Program?

Wasn't it a guy from videocardz that accused all the youtube tech types for taking cash and "female accompaniment" to guarantee a booth visits at one of the trade shows last year?  (I think it was computex but not sure)

They're like WCCFTECH, more about clickbait than anything else.  Although some layoffs wouldn't out of the question, I doubt EVGA is hurting that much.

My Local Home Depot Laid Off All the Cashers and now only have Self Checkup.
This as well Home Depot lays off installation workers - Business Insider but then that was last February.

I could totally see this happening and agree it's cheaper to create a Program like the Associate Code.  Too bad some people's codes are being changed on checkout.

I think the laptop, keyboard/mouse, and maybe a few other things were a bad idea.  I don't think the Case designs are that special or in my taste.  They should have worked with a Case mfger and seen a license deal with them to have some type of EVGA design or what have you on said cases like Corsair and the likes.

The Keyboard selling for $120-150? was it? non-RGB was a complete failure while your competitors were beating you to the punch from the start with premium boards w/ RGBs, MX Keys for the same price if not less.

Laptops, you won't sell many of these.  Maybe a nice PR attempt but for 3K+ a pop, your average EVGA customer (I think) won't spend that much plus you don't have a steady frequency of selling laptops which questions the RMA/Warranty of it and how well you're protected if say a replacement is needed a few years down the road within warranty, etc.

Use this Associate Code at your checkouts or follow these instructions for Up to 10% OFF on all your EVGA purchases:

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

+1..... I said this awhile ago they were doing too many products and losing there vision. The one thing that rocketed evga to the top was awesome customer service, step up and limited lifetime warranty. Those three things made a lot of us in the early days big fans and the forum community started to flourish brick by brick. When the x58/SR boards came out they were at the top and that was the slow roll down, although I cant blame it all on evga because nvidia with there crazy pricing and intel extending tick/tocks and giving us embarrassing cpu release gains for years now doesn't help. With that said, I def don't want to see any of my evga brothers and sisters lose there jobs and see them and there families suffer because im pretty sure that the ship can be righted at this point, although if they screw it up it will be the end of evga. I sincerely hope that does not happen cause watching DFI go down was bad enough!

The way for the ship to be righted is like others said: to focus on what they're best at and trim the fat.

Very sad -- never a good thing to see people lose their jobs. Hopefully, this is just a minor downward "blip" in the company's fortunes. EVGA's engineering prowess (graphics cards and motherboards, for sure) is topnotch.

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.

I just hope this isnt a case of EVGA pulling in a EA by its CEO taking all the profits but having nothing for the employees so they can appease investors.

Pretty much guarantee any increase in costs for the manufacturer/seller will be reflected in the sale price, not just absorbed by the seller, so there's no reason for layoffs using that as a reason. Another company that sold PC parts closed a year or two ago and blamed Trump when the tariffs weren't even in effect yet.
