*sighs* I'm sure we all get the fact that "it'll be out when it's out," but seriously - some more information about the board would be welcome.

They just pump up that hype train so we trip all over each other when it's released and throw money. That's how everything is launched now. I'm surprised EVGA isn't doing a pre-order.

Would EVGA consider making ITX in the future perhaps?

dcorbe Are you guys going to make an mATX form factor of this? I've fallen in love with your mATX boards. They make nice, clean builds with plenty of headroom in the right case to mount pumps, reservoirs and the like.
They answered that a while back - the answer was "not any time soon." Another question for those who have the other DARK boards - are the additional eight-pin board connectors able to be powered off of a PCIe lead on your PSU? I've got an 850W Seasonic Prime Ultra Titanium (geeze, I'm surprised they didn't fit a 'Mighty Supreme' on there too) as my PSU, so I've plenty of connectors to spare.
Definitely don't use 8pin PCIe connectors on the EPS connectors; the pin-out is different and the best you can hope for is simply that the board won't power on. Of course, you can use a 6+2 PCIe connector for the actual 6pin PCIe connector on the motherboard.

What does it take for evga to link directly to the motherboard manual on it's product page? Why make people search through a list to find it, when you can link directly to it.

Maybe this Thread would help link directly to the product manualNo real need to post about this all over the Forum, is there?

Do you see anyone from EVGA replying to that post? I don't. So why not post it. Thanks for helping to shine some light on it.

The rotated socket and ram slots on the dark will be slightly inefficient for standard aircooling... Wouldnt a tower cooler like the D15 in a front-to-back position interfere with ram? Most cases are front to back and the 90 degree would reduce flow. "stack effect" style cases like the SL600M will be pre-heating the air with the gpu, and this style will even be detrimental in 90 degree rotated cases like the RV02... I suppose it's only useful for exotic cooling and water cooling. Thinking I may just go with the FTW board since I plan on air-cooling.

Hang in there. I pre-ordered the 9900k on 10/8 around noon. Maybe that can serve as an indicator when you should receive yours. The wait ended up working out. I was able to snag the $499 pre-order price then Amazon gave me 10% since they missed the shipping date and also gave me a $20 credit for the lack of information. All in all, getting a 9900k for $430 while having to wait on the Z390 Dark anyway isn't a bad deal.

Z390 Dark: Love the 90° headers. It makes builds so much better and easier to deal with, for me anyway. What's with the two RAM slots on the Dark? Extreme cooling stability over mass market approach? Great layout though and board is looking smart. No words can ever express the gratitude for getting rid of those horrid broken glass looking covers. Now if EVGA would just make some Threadripper boards... ============================================================== bcavnaugh
joseph021012 EVGA. Can you please make itx mobo as well? You guys have nice motherboards but I don't see myself buying ATX or eATX these days.
This gets asked every Motherboard Cycle and still year after year after year No ITX. The mATX will come latter for the Z390. Maybe even a EVGA Z390 Stinger mITX but who knows.
Contact UsEVGA H370 Stinger, 111-CS-E371-KR, LGA 1151, Intel H370, HDMI, SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.1, USB 3.0, mITX, Intel Motherboard $139.99 My last mITX was the Part Number: 111-IB-E692-KR Part Desc: EVGA Z77 Stinger (mITX) back in 2012.
Because we wouldn't want to meet the desires of customers. We will just make what we want and tell you that you really want to buy it. You just don't know it yet.

Z390 is a Dual Channel Platform the 2 Slot Configuration is to maximize overclocking potential on the RAM.

I may have paid more for my 9900k, but I have it. I walked into Micro Center last Friday at around 5:30 pm and walked out half an hour later with one of the (I think) two or three 9900ks they had gotten in stock that day as well as an Asus Maximus Fourus Phasus Hero (which I will be returning, obviously). So, I paid more for my 9900k, and I can't use it because the board I really want isn't out yet. But at least I have the chip, right?

Yes there is, Head over here: https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=123-CS-E397-KR then scroll down and click the "spec" tab. It should tell you how much vrm it has under "Feature". Currently it has 11 VRM and you have the option via EVGA step up program to upgrade to Z390 Dark when it come out. The Dark got a vrm of 17.
