I was initially a little skeptical of using the onboard Creative sound, I must admit it sounds pretty darn good.
I see no need to put my sound card back in this new rig. Course it was SoundBlaster also.

Klipsch 2.1 Pro Media - they rock.
Incredible bass and mid ranges.

US market only by the way evga is behaving.
Should have just bought from their ebay if you wanted it i guess or wait for amazon to stock it since it's cheaper.

If EVGA has decided to be a US only vendor then they should kill their EU and other countries pages, no ? If not then a semblance of balance would be appreciated. Common courtesy would require at the very least an update!
If they have no plans of bringing their product to other markets, then by all means, it is their decision. It is just that we would like to know it so we can decide too what to do next!
And btw I am waiting both on the Dark and the FTW3 ultra hydro copper edition as well. Yes I would love to get my hands on a hydro copper version of the kingpin gfx card, but holy crap considering the wait so far I doubt it will be out before the next gen of gpus is here.
So yes I have money to spend, I like to spend it on your products, but apparently you guys don't give a rat's ass!

EVGA is based in the US, it will take some time. If its that big a deal go buy a asus gene. They aren’t available in the US. So.... just how the game works sometimes

Ah no. tikka makes a nice supervarmint rifle in a 204 that I can’t get in the US but all the UK blokes have them. Would it be fair for me to say tikka should pull all their US sales because one model isn’t available? No. I just have to be patient, express need and wait it out. Now if that’s the one I want, I’ll wait or go by another brand. Most countries fulfill needs of their primary market before exporting.

I get your frustration. I do sympathize. You will need to contact the EU branch and work it out

I have waited this long so I really can not go and buy the Asus Gene on principal at this stage! It would just mean I waited this long for nothing and wasted my time.
I already have demonstrated my willingness to wait and be patient, and I am happy to wait even longer. Just give me some ETA or current status info, or anything.
As for talking to the EVGA people here in the EU, it is not like they can pull a mobo or a gfx card out their butts just cause I asked. They too have to wait till shipments arrive from the US, the details of which is known to the people back in the US headquarters.

The thing is that evga doesn't even update their EU page.
There is no dark nor the ftw.
Most of the general information on the EU page is also outdated just like the guy that was looking at the eleet software;the EU page basically doesn't have the software listed to be compatible with anything past z270 whereas the US page shows support for z390, just simple things like that.

Yeah they probably need to give the people an update about the state of their EU division then. You will probably have to email them or wait for them to come back in stock on their ebay page

I'm UK and I grabbed one off eBay from EVGA, cost me in total £517 that included import charges, it hasn't arrived just yet but will be here next week sometime and TBH even if it does go on sale at the EU store you won't get it much cheaper if at all.

But I am actually thinking of either sending it back or reselling it here in the UK purely because the Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme Waterforce has just been made available on OCUK store, I just need to have a discussion with my wallet first as its almost double the Dark price.

Current Build: i7-4790K ◆ Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming G1-Wifi BK ◆ Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB ◆ EVGA Titan X Hydrocopper SLI ◆ Samsung Pro/Evo SSD 1TB/250GB ◆ Seasonic P1000 ◆ Lian Li PCD600 Case ◆ Full Custom Loop - Primochill/BlackIce/EK/D5.

New Build in Progress: i9-9900K & i7-8700K ◆ Phanteks Evolv X ◆ EVGA Titan X Hydrocopper SLI ◆ Full Custom Loop - Bitspower Rads/Fittings/Brass Tubing/Res and more...

I do not doubt that one bit I love the Dark, but I also think the Xtreme Waterforce is a beautiful board, especially with that unique monoblock.

Anyone figure out how to disable the bios splash screen?

I thought it might be the "show home" option in the bios, however I toggled it off and made no difference.

Dark looks like out of stock, anybody have any information about when in stock again? Also amazon is now giving an estimated delivery date 8 march - 22 april. Waiting and waiting... So this means that they did not produce enough boards, even before amazon gets and sells globally, they are out of stock.

I have seen the dark out of stock one day and then back in stock.   Best call EVGA and check on actual stock.  I don't know if the web page has real time stock.  If it does, then they maybe can give you an eta on new arrivals.   I'm betting they receive them in batches.

I don't see a way in the bios.   Probably needs to be added.  On some motherboards in the past, you can change the graphic to a blank black graphic but I don't know how to do that or if possible on this board.   You might send an email to EVGA requesting that be added to the bios.

Ok thanks, I kind of like watching my system booting with numbers and such that mean nothing to me LOL.
Just what I have been used to I guess.

So wonder what the "Show Home" selection in the bios is referring to? It is on by default.

When the splash screen appears and you hit F2, it bypasses the next menu that has advanced setup and the OC robot and takes you straight to the advanced menu where all the parameter input is.

Interesting I have not tried that, usually just hit DEL key upon boot to get into bios. Thanks,

LOL to the expected delivery from amazon.
You'd be better of selling the 9900k and waiting on ryzen 2 at that point.

That would be only reasonable if you plan on ditching EVGA products altogether since if you plan on getting a mobo for that 3rd gen Ryzen part from them you will likely have to wait till about the time Intel has their counter product at the start line...

anyone know the frequency of the VRM on the dark board?  Might be an engineer question.

I would keep an eye on both Gamers Nexus and Buildzoid's channels on YouTube for an PCB breakdown. I am sure it is bound to show up there at some point

That's exactly where I went today.  Didn't see anything.  I might see if there is any new youtube posting.

I poked around the bios a little more this evening.  It's defaulted to 500 khz.   Has adjustments from 300-1000.  I will have to admit, I don't know much about this other than it can help with voltage spike. But have no idea in what way.
