Everyone's situation is different. You can't speak on everyone's situation.

Everyone knows delays happen and that's frustrating enough and I believe most people can deal with that.

The issue is the lying, not giving refunds etc. How are you supposed to trust a company that sells a faulty product, lies to you about it, finally admits it, won't give a refund but will exchange for another faulty product. Still wont give you a refund, you keep paying for shipping to them for RMA's, lead you on purposely lying to you that the new improved product is coming out (is that a lie too?).

I don't see any over reacting when dealing with these facts. As I said before, it's not so much the delay. Take the delay aspect out of it and as a paying customer you have plenty to be upset about. Need I even bring up the "Step-Up" program?

 
Bud, I completely agree but going on like this isn't going to achieve anything, EVGA have already proven they do
not care about us who got screwed with their initial X79 purchase and nothing you say is going to change that.
Just accept that this is how it is, you'll get your DARK when it is available.

They may or may not care but that doesn't mean the customer is powerless and has to take it. It's not so much as what happens now but in regards to future sales and overall reviews. EVGA will lose and gain customers but due to this they have lost some for good. Time will tell if these series of events will overall affect EVGA's bottom line. Which is the customers true power in situations as these.

Does anyone know if the Noctua NH-D14 will clear the heatsink on this board? it looks a little bigger than the FTW heatsink.

Hmmm that's what I have also, and I'm a little worried because I purchased it in February and didn't register it till July when they finally announced the upgrade to dark option. They sent me an email to continue the step-up process... I'm currently #3 in the que... we will see I guess. I hope I don't have to turn this into a giant paperweight and take another risk buying a $400 mb from EVGA again :/

Ah... so the early adapters who caught the sign up a while back on 6/28 have only to wait a day or so to get to the next section of the upgrade process.  I like that!  Thanks!

Okay... the Queue for me is now at zero so I'm waiting on invoice verification and an email on payment methods.  Then it's the return and the shipping of the boards. 
 
Process is going faster than I had anticipated but I'm pleased to be one of the first couple of dozen to play with new toys.
