I can pretty much guarantee I'd buy both of your Dark blocks if the prices aren't absurd (haven't gotten that far yet). I would absolutely love it if you could do some engraving on the blocks, that would push me over the edge for sure! Also I'll be using a different CPU block - the Koolance CPU380i. I don't have any of my parts yet but they should be arriving sometime soon. I hope the new SB block (if it comes to fruition) will fit with that CPU block. Considering nobody seems to be having problems with the EK block on the SB for the RIVE I think we should be okay as well. *fingers crossed*

Nate, I have the Apogee Drive II and it has a pump on the top of the CPU cooler. IT is the HD with a pump the nozzel connections are on the memory sides but I do not think it will be an issue. If it is I will just get a new block. I Like the chipset block and I am really glad you decided to go with it. As for putting X79 Dark in red, I think it looks killer on my board, would it be an issue with the EVGA Bubbas to put EVGA by Natman_Doo on the chipset block in red same font at least for mine so it can be seen between the two 16X slots? My board hangs in my case the old fasioned way so the way you have it, through my case window it isn't upside down like the stupid back plates on the video cards. Your CNC machine has really turned out to be one sweet setup. I looked at your photo bucket build. I will start like you said and try using the drill press with my milling bits. When I start working on the Mauser 98 I may ask for some advice. V/R The Boatswain

I just found out about the Asus Rampage IV Black-Edition (retail edition, different from the limited edition in April) which throws a wrench in my previous plan. I might just have to wait for that motherboard.... not sure....

Nateman, count me in for both, I have a HeatKiller CPU block so hopefully it will fit with that one. I don't see why It wouldn't though.

iamSneaky Nate, why don't you make the Delrin top for the block over sized similar to the shape of the stock heat sink and have the duck shaped block underneath? EK have done this with a few of their blocks. That way it would look a hell of a lot better and it means you could engrave the EVGA 'E' on the top of it similar to the stock heat sink. That would be awesome. I'm interested in a block but not really keen on the Duck shape. I'd be happy to pay more just for aesthetic reasons. I will also be using the Koolance 380i Block....I really want that look of the mock-up from IAMSNEAKY Engraved with The Red resin Fill. Seems Like most want the same thing with the exception of the nickel-plate crew...But getting this block to canada australia and back seems extremely excessive.....as far as the chip block goes the big question will be can we use the 1/2" I.D. 5/8" O.D. compression fittings on there without hitting anything? I Think Red O-Rings might look sharp.

Nate, Calling the chipset block a duck block was a bad idea. I like it, as long as it cools the chips it was designed to cool and the way you made it, reminds me of the Z78 block, a true performer. I know everyone says the chipsets are not as important as they once were but due to the failure with the $599.00 Classified X79 board and after I bought a water block set up for it and I got nowhere with it. I went to an ASUS board, I know this is a dirty word in this forum but it was pretty much the same board but built better and with the water cooling I was able to hit 5.2 with their cool offset setting of 1.396. my cores always stayed cool during benching never going above 62c. That cool block you made me with fan was the bomb for my Z78/P67 board. Nate Live Long and Prosper

Acesi7 Remember nateman_doo isn't a business, so his weekends are his own. :D Well aware he isn't a 'business' but he is still someone who may be asking me to send him money for a product and how long could it possibly take to type out 10-15 characters? All I asked for were prices. FWIW, I sent him an e-mail last Thursday with no reply yet, also sent him a PM on Saturday with no reply yet. So weekend or no weekend he's yet to reply. I should feel confident when involved in a transaction with someone and if I were offering a product for sale I'd make every effort to ensure every potential customer would feel confident in dealing with me. *shrug*

I appreciate the understanding. This whole operation has worn my family. I am never around, always in the basement. I am going to finish this first batch and send them out before I take more orders. This new CNC has the ability to do multiple blocks, so once this first batch has been "field tested" so to speak, I will start taking more orders. One man cannot service the entire world, but I will do my best to get them out. I do have other blocks im making like the SR2, and the ASRock blocks so my machine can only do a single batch at a time. I appreciate you guys being understanding of this.

So, if we paid the materials fee are we basically included in the initial order? I haven't had any PMs/emails after the payment was sent but now it's looking more like it's due to you being so busy than anything else. Good luck man. Hope you can get whatever you need to settled and worked out. Eagerly looking forward to that VRM block.
