So, I need a motherboard! I'm ready to wait, but not for long - I was hoping to buy the EVGA motherboard, but due to the fact that there is no information, I will have to buy asus again(

This X299 launch is such a mess. My top 3 board choices were the dark, the extreme VI and the Aorus Gaming 9. Please, please release (shipping and pricing) info on the Dark ASAP.

i asked intel to send me x299 motherboard or two because i have many CPUs and no MB
and they send me this...
these are x299 chipsets
UPS fail me also
ram waterblocks and few fittings for my new build are also delayed so there is nothing that could go more wrong...

EVGA is Never Late, EVGA Arrives on EVGA Time NOT on ASUS's Time, MSI's Time, ASRock's Time, Gigabyte's Time, or any other Company's Time.
Then why did I have to buy 1080ti's from a different company because FTW did not exist until a month after the launch? :/ Now it looks like EVGA Dark x299 (my first choice) is going to be late to the party as well.

I want to say they use different audio solutions and a couple of other very minor differences. Not $100 worth of differences in my opinion though.

I know you are anxious to get a Mobo for your new processor, but I would hold off and wait. Patience is key; and settling for something will only lead to disappointment. We all want these boards, but thankfully for me, my processor is not going to be released until August!

Now I understand why you are so upset you have an ASUS Motherboard, in a way. But from what I have read here on our Forums (EVGA) and other Forums as well as reviews that is one of the Best Non-ROG Motherboards out their from ASUS. Maybe the 28 PCIe Lanes CPU is why? https://ark.intel.com/compare/123767,82932Intel® Core™ i7-7820X X-series Processor is no different you still will have a CPU with only 28 PCIe Lanes. You do get a few more cores and Intel® Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 Frequency but that is it. I would think you are going to spend a lot of money and be in the same boat you are now in with your current X99 Computer.
