I have a x299 DARK that is a few months out of warranty, recently it just stopped works (POST codes don't even display). I noticed there is some sort of residue that has leaked out from under the VRM and its heatsink -- presumably a component in there failed.

Anyone else experienced this? Is there anything that can be done to resurrect it?

Cheers

You would need a extremely component motherboard repair service to replace the defective components. Assuming that is the underlying cause. Otherwise your choices are to try to find a working X299 Dark off of websites such as Ebay at your own risk. Or be willing to use an X299 motherboard from another manufacturer off of websites like Ebay at your own risk.
