The new queue system itself is fine, just need polishing, but it is the website capacity is the issue.

Most of the people can't even get in queue due to the high traffic, by the time you get in, the the queue already over.

I don't think that was the issue on Tuesday (but certainly has been in the past).  On Tuesday, the window was opened and shut before a lot of folks even knew about it. I woke up (PT) and it was already over.

Can anyone help with clarifying if 'Score Period:2019/1/1 00:00:00 ~ 2022/1/11 23:59:59 (PST)' is going to stay the same for a while or it will be rolling 3 years back changed every month or so?

Rolls forward monthly on the 1st of each month I believe.

And to you be able to enter the queue what is the benefit since they do not intend to give cards to Europe.

There is no reason to buy something from EVGA again.

1. So if I just want to get 3050 through the queue 3.0 I need to refresh eu.evga on 27th of January and hope to click notify fast enough? Is there anything else I will need to do?
2. Will 3050 be available for EU on 27th?

1. Are you an "Elite" member?  The 27th may be limited to that category of folks.
2. Only EVGA knows for sure, but I would assume the answer is "yes" (at least as it pertains to registration...not willing to speculate about actual units on that day).

OK Im a elite member have been for years and they never flipping emailed me till after the new Queue was closed like the next day.
All my products are registered with EVGA too so why do I feel im going to get screwed again when the 3050 drops ?
I never thought EVGA could run something like this Queue system so screwed up...hire someone from Walmart to figure this out
before the 3050 drops please!

There is no way to find out unless of course EVGA released such sheet with all the data.

Just sign up and patiently wait for one with your notifications turned on is the best way.  In the meantime, check out your local best buys and micro centers.

This is accurate. A few people were reporting issues but it was pretty seamless, just didn't last long.

Read the OP of how points are calculated. It is based on registered purchases (last 3 years), EVGA Bucks, and blue ribbons. From what I can tell, 1 EVGA Buck = 2 queue points, 1 blue ribbon = 3 queue points(?), and not sure how registered purchases are calculated, it seems to be relatively low compared to the other factors. It would seem EVGA Bucks are really pushing some scores up. That would also mean bots who have managed to buy a lot of items (and register them) but not contributed anything to the community are not getting much of an advantage, if any - and rightly so! Those who have either contributed a lot over the years on the forums and have lots of blue ribbons are getting some reward for their behavior, and EVGA Bucks is the other big driver.. although the associate program is pretty generous on its own imo. Also note that EVGA may well tweak how these points are calculated, it's not written in stone.

FWIW - if you've been following this and the other thread, there's a gentleman who has 0 score but he was able to sign into the 3080 12GB queue within the ~90-min window and got notified later to buy it.

The only thing I can add to this, and not being argumentative: EVGA Bucks is reliant on others using your code. So, even if you've helped someone there's still a chance you won't get credit for it. Never been a huge deal before, and not being a jerk about it or anything either. Just a slight stigma on how you earn those. Like I said, not a huge deal but dependent on the community to help each other. I'm not sure how you earn ribbons, if that's from the community or a Moderator/Administrator.

I've been a long time lurker, been an EVGA customer for many years (First cards were a pair 7950GX2's). I don't feel like I've ever been treated unfairly by EVGA, and they've taken care of me on a few RMA's. That's why I'm a customer. They've always treated my right, always been helpful, respectful, and I've never been treated unfairly in any way.

Those complaining about the que's: There is no solution that will ever satisfy 100% of the community. There are always flaws and someone will always feel wronged. They said it is a fluid system, and subject to changes. Just ride it out, don't be rude. They're trying to make the best out of a bad situation, and that's more than some other companies are doing right now. There are always other avenues to get a card, like the newegg shuffle...

I wonder if I'm thinking of the same person that you are. If so, they claim to have also bought a 30-series from the past queues as well. I take all such claims with a huge grain of salt though, because I don't know anyone from Adam on these forums.

Yes. EVGA has said that for each drop (I would assume and add the word “new” in front of drop, but EVGA has not said that) invites will go out to all the tiers (but in different allocation percentages among the tiers) so that the process will NOT be that the highest score tier will be served first before the other tiers. All tiers will get some allocation with each new drop. And my speculation is that the zero account you referenced has not previously purchased a 30 series card from the queue and was therefore prioritized over other zero scores accounts that had.

But who knows…it’s all speculation at this point.

Re: EVGA Queue 3.0 (Beginning 1/11/2022) 2022/01/14 07:16:04 (permalink)
So does this mean i'll be able to get into the queue at all now for regular 3070 and 3070TI cards? Or is the newly opened queue just for the 12gb 3080 in a small time window? I never knew the queue existed until it was too late. At least with the Newegg shuffle I at least have a feeling I could be the one and get lucky. With this EVGA thing I can't even notify myself that a queue is going to be opened. Do I just have to keep the tab permanently open as my home page now for whenever I open a new tab or something?

Additionally, about the EVGA score thing, why is it only limited to a 2 year window? I've been a loyal EVGA customer. I have a 9800 in my registered items list! I remember having the 560gtx and 980 gtx sc and am still currently on my 1080ti. Yet none of that counts (though only my 1080ti and 9800 were registered, lazy me). Kinda blows me away a little. Very few people upgrade every new generation unless they're going from low/mid-range to the next low/mid range. I had/have a 1080TI and the gains from the 20 series weren't enough for me to drop another $700. So I waited. Then when the new series comes out and with the shortages I think it is a normal COVID supply chain thing, not realizing the deeper issues with crypto miners and scalpers. So I wait for it to blow over. It never does and I don't actively look into the queue systems and such. And so now I have an EVGA score of 0? Weak sauce EVGA.

Don't be afraid of queues. Open the queue up everyone and simply prioritize that queue like 3.0 says it will but more aggressive. Look at registration dates and prioritize people with 10/16/20 series cards registered but no 30 series. It makes me legit sad that my only real hope of getting a card is for the Intel Arc Alchemist cards to be competitive like they claim and get lucky there too.

Fair comment for sure.

Ribbons are mostly for helping on the forums. Usually a moderator will spot worthy posts, or sometimes if I think someone helped the community I use the 'report abuse' button to recommend a blue ribbon. :)

EVGA have been fantastic with their service, and are currently doing what they can to try to make the queue system better, but as you said, they will never 100% be able to satisfy everyone. The primary goal in my mind should be to disadvantage bots and scalpers.

It's 3 years. May not help people like you and me who have been around for many years (I have over 50 registered products going back to early 2009, about 20 of which are since January 2019), but it is what it is. I'm still very happy EVGA are offering anything to help get product to us, rather than just leave us to fight the scumbot scalpers on our own.

Never has. We all know that stock is very limited. There is no program that could change that. I don't think having people sitting in queues for over a year is a better option really, which is the only alternative to limiting the open period for notification queues. Also it helps stop that queue being loaded up with endless scalper accounts, and I am 100% for nailing those asshats to the wall.

My score is 0... guess I will never get an EVGA video card.

Hey Im not far behind you mine is 6.....I see some with 70+ now come on this must be a miner how the heck
did you get a 70+ that's a bunch of bull....this system is wanky

FWIW - if you've been following this and the other thread, there's a gentleman who has 0 score but he was able to sign into the 3080 12GB queue within the ~90-min window and got notified later to buy it.

I wonder if I'm thinking of the same person that you are. If so, they claim to have also bought a 30-series from the past queues as well. I take all such claims with a huge grain of salt though, because I don't know anyone from Adam on these forums.

Not sure but I remember him saying he has an old GTX card. He had an issue on the email he received, thus looking for help. A few people - myself included - advised to reach out to EVGA. So he did. EVGA sorted it out for him later that day (according to him).

I take it internet posts have to be taken with a grain of salt but sometimes you can let it slide when the original intent of the post is obvious (an issue with email). And it passed a sniff test (at least to me).

If your goal is to promote the supposed objectives and principles of Queue 3.0, a 24-hour queue is massively superior to a 90-minute queue. EVGA said they would do a 24-hour queue, but they didn't. And then when I contacted them to complain, they didn't apologize and instead stated that they plan to do more short-duration queues for more bots in the future once they diminish the list of bots they are currently serving. Of course I don't mean actual bots, I mean humans using similar tools. The humans EVGA claimed to be trying to exclude.

They mentioned this was a limited que for the 4877 earlier in the thread, and I don't think that it is a normal situation. Only EVGA knows why they ran it for the time they did, maybe a beta test, maybe not. They've also mentioned they will reopen ques when they can, likely once get through more of the current existing ones. Again, no system is perfect. My suggestions are to follow JacobF and EVGA on social media for faster updates and continue to try the newegg shuffle.

As far as the bot comment, I honestly just stumbled across the 4877 que while at work. They've moved past my timestamp, likely because I've already gotten 3 cards from the older system and that has deprioritized me (My score is still only 231). I'm not angry and it is what it is, I'm only in ques for my son and son-in-law now.

I haven't used any software to gain any kind of advantage over others, so I can't comment on what bots they're using. EVGA states they have bot protection, which can lead to a permeant ban, so it's not like they're unaware and haven't tried to stop it. There will always be someone, some way, to override any system for an individuals personal gains. Adapt and overcome.

I guess if this system doesn't fit then try other avenues to get what you're after.

Hey I love EVGA best graphics cards manufacture bar none BUT ! this whole queue thing is wanky at best. My EVGA score is 6 LMAO and I have no idea what the heck the EVGA bucks is all about it says I have "0" yes that's zero LOL.  Is this like Candy Crush can I buy "EVGA bucks" ?
IDK kinda of a funky system.

Ha! EVGA is still a business. Any business entity would naturally favor something that makes sense for their business. The implementation of new process is another thing. Of course there will be happy customers and there will be disgruntled ones. Goes without saying, when something works to your favor, you rarely initiate discussing the details in public. Not that a person is being secretive or lazy but that's just how human dynamics is.

I'm not sure, but I believe the 24 hour thing may have been referring to being open only to Elite members for the first 24 hours... maybe. Of course if they have limited supply, then what is the point having it open for 24 hours and the queue becoming massively bloated and nobody else will ever get a chance to get in it if they didn't see it that day? That's why we have people now who have been in the old queue for well over a year, and zero prospect for anyone else ever getting in if they weren't there that one day in September 2020 when the queue opened... how is that fairer to you?? At least opening it for limited periods on different days as stock becomes available will allow more people an opportunity to get in the queue if they were not available the first time it opened, right? Seems fairer than the alternative. If you have a better suggestion, post it! Maybe EVGA will see it and consider it, if it has merit.

WOW you got 3 cards from the older queue man that's nice eh! LMAO I have been in that queue for 2 years I got one card email.
I also got notified 22 hours after the latest queue was closed why did EVGA even bother sending an email. The queue was only open for 90 minutes
Silly stuff going on here.
