While this may not be perfect and may have some flaws... We should look at the positive side of things; EVGA has recognized that the original system needed to be re-worked and they have taken efforts to correct the system. All while be forthcoming with this information and process. That is a lot more than what I have seen from other manufactures.

You missed it. It was open for about a hour and a half and it filled up and was closed. On the 11th

Wrong forum.  What region are you in?  If you are in a region covered by the EU office, or any other non-NA region, and signed up for the NA queue, unfortunately, they will not process the order.  If you are in the NA queue, EVGA will only ship to NA and they will absolutely not ship to any freight forwarding companies.

The thing I still don't understand is why the queue for the cards are currently closed. The queue 3.0 system says that it supposedly doesn't prioritize when the queue was entered, and instead prioritizes other facets of participation. But, if that is true, EVGA needs to have the queue open long enough for people to attempt to apply and be reprioritized as claimed. The queue for the 3080 12gb card was only open for 90 minutes without any announcement? Not that I want the card, but I can see how frustrating this is for people who supposedly have a better chance with queue 3.0, when queue 3.0 is so far worse than ever, and more based on timing than ever. The signup period dropped from 24 hours to 90 minutes? How many of those signups are going to be from people who you have never heard of who are just monitoring stock constantly? Lots! What is their participation score? Low! But they are going to be in the queue, while others with much better participation aren't.
What in the world happened EVGA? Don't you think you should flush out the queue, start it over, and then prioritize the way you said you were going to prioritize? Prioritizing based on participation requires the queue to be open long enough that enough samples are available to prioritize for things other than timing. If the window is only 90 minutes, all of the samples are going to be based on timing.

Yes, it is strange that the queue was only open for 90 minutes.  I saw a post earlier (one of these related threads) from Lee the Tech that said they were testing Queue 3.0 and wanted to limit the sign ups.  Expecting that means some adjustments to the rules could come.  Maybe adjustments to the scoring, or seeing who signed up and which Tier they belong to.
 
Just my thoughts, but at some point the Top 300 bypasses will all be used up and the system will settle out.  In the long run it could work, but the queues would need to remain open.  The early birds are typically those people who are in tune to product news, release date leaks, rumors, and plugged into the Discord and Twitch stock bots.  This 3080 12GB notify button was broadcast on a very popular Discord channel 3 minutes after it went live... and lots of people follow this channel.  The 90 minutes was sufficient for those aware or lucky, but everyone else with a day job or who wasn't still sleeping got left behind.  I hope they get this queue opened back up soon, for everyone who wants a shot.

Three years back? Last two years was borderline impossible to buy any videocard from a retailer and that's a fact. So i guess 2019 is the only year counted. Most of the supply from 2020 and 2021 is bought by scalper bots, crypto miners or retail insiders who then of course price gouge the **** out of the cards. Now EVGA decides to reward these people. Great job!

it's wild I was able to ordered the 3080 12GB (I sign up on the 11th) when the Queue 3.0 score system came online compared to waiting for 3080Ti since 6/30/21 which is like 7 months, also I joined evga since 6/24/2010 which is a very long time

Well at least the queue is working for some people. I'm just happy they implemented a 2-step at least a while back to help cut down on scalper/bots. I feel like their previous method wasn't as well as it needed to.

Feels like the que for the 3080 12gb was not exactly fair and transparent.   I'm very dissappointed in EVGA's roll out.   EVGA reps feel free to contact me if you have a good explanation why the need for covert type of roll out.   I would also ask that you correct the issue and try again, and allow elite members to que then non elite que so we can move forward with some consistency.

Total speculation on my part, but I view the Tuesday limited window as a test case.  EVGA needed a reasonably sized cohort to test out the Queue 3.0 prioritization rules.  Had they advertised it and then had everybody crush the servers (and only a limited set get registered), there would be even more outrage.  I am confident that when they do reopen the registrations for the 3080 12gb, they will do the RIGHT THING and make the first 24 hours Elite Members only. There is no downside for them to handle it that way...these are folks that, generally speaking, are trying to do the right thing by the community.  But what do I know...I am just a gamer waiting on the wall like the rest of us...I could have eaten a bad marshmallow in my breakfast smore's and be completely hallucinating.
